Henry Clairston
Twenty-six
years of cooperate experience

Eleven
years of prison time
The name is Henry
I am an honest business man, born to the Clairston name. Two generations ago, that didn't mean anything. Today, it means something. In the future, it'll mean a whole lot.
I'm a family man, though I cannot lie...that could just be because the family is the business, you know? Got a whole buncha little branches on this bloodline I've never met. Why? Cause they're not even worth grilling. They've nothing to do with the things I do. Maybe I'll send my ratchet sister a basket every now and again, throw it all the way to the other coast. But I don't do that cause of my deep-seated affections or whatever the public thinks. I do it - cause its good business.
Close with my pop though. Yeeeah, real close with him. He started this whole thing, so I got plenty of respect for the old man. I was raised for it, practically groomed for this one purpose. What other purpose does an heir have than to the throne, eh? Nothin. Not a thing. Not complaining of course. I enjoy it. Stress is bad, but I got drugs and women for that...usually in that order.
I'll pretend along with ya, that ya don't know what Clairston Holdings is, you mook. Real-estate mostly. Pretty much anything we get our hands on. Even busted into industry recently, boutta break in even more. See, you're gonna want to stay seated for this next part, champ, cause I got news for ya. This whole, uhhhh, lets call it 'High society dealings'.
Well its pretty corrupt.
I know, I know, you're socked in your head just hearin that, but its true.
See, when I said we broke into industry, I didn't mean we opened a factory out of The City, like some schmuck upstart. We had other people do that on our behalf - co-ownership type stuff...whatever. The important part is labour, is expensive. Rats are always wanting more cheese off you, you know? We spend half our earnings on all those rat saleries, and wages. Some people, if they're really stupid, do even more than that. Its robbery is what it is.
Communism. Little red rat bastards.
Point is, long story short, connections are everything, and when you own a quarter of all residential real-estate in Midtown and the lower-East, you get to know some people. Like the Mayor. The mayor, well he knows people too, such as the Governor. He knows people like the regional director, who in turn reports to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. They probably know people too, but I ain't that far up yet - so whatever.
See, we got a lot of new opportunities brewing out of The City here, lots of upstart manufacturing plants and the like. And, you know, the Governor? He likes that. Production means money, business. Capital. So too does he like his residential blocks to stay residential - and all healthy and clean. And me and pops?
We like growth.

Growth? Expensive. Stupid expensive. So, you work to cut your costs, and if you can't do that, offset the things. What the Governor didn't realize, or well, he did...he was just too stupid to make use of it. But what he was too stupid to make use of, was that he had a nice plot of manufacturing - right on his doorstep too. That's right, baby, Green Haven.
Eighteen hundred, fresh-faced or wither-dicked men, waiting to be put to work. Working for pennies on the dollar, wages not even a border jumper would adhere too - now that's big green right there. Best part is, nobody out there waving signs for these people. Rapists, murderers - probably some lesser stuff too - but we're not going to talk about them. Nobody cares.
Sure, they're too stupid and unreliable to work on anything complicated. But its the simple stuff that builds on you. Washers, gussets and some angles. Some simple tools here and there. Mass-produced by a labor force I barely got to pay? Tens of thousands saved in a year, buddy-boy. Redirect some state funds to better causes, and now the prison is paying for itself.
My foots in the door, and the application is on the big-guys desk right now. Strings have been pulled, money scooted where it got to be. All that's left now, is the formality of the whole thing. Keep the scum of society in line, and make money...
