Character Name: Timothy "Tim" Keyes

What party is your character part of?: CLC; Combine Labour Co-operative

Why should you be a councillor?:

I've thoroughly involved myself in the loyalist scene from i24 round one all the way to V2's ending in various capacities, going as far as naturally getting the support to lead a coup and name myself City Administrator (yes, even if the arc had its flaws, nobody in staff knew what I was doing until I had already done it) at the climax of my involvement in the loyalist scene and CCA RP. Of course that fluffed of position is gaudy and all, but it was my time in lower positions that really displayed why I should be a councillor; my time spent researching real life terminology and legislation to implement it into in-game bills and politicking.

I'd like to imagine that I interacted with enough people on my loyalist, CCA, and to a lesser extent MCP characters to let my actions for themselves; however, that's just not true. Through my adventures and stories I tried to really dive into the corrupt and unethical side of this RP, and I've done well in my opinion! Truly embracing the concepts of bribery, extortion, threats, and psychological warfare over just beating people to a pulp (although I did do that as Chairman in City 8) -- all sorts of fun. To turn this into a point instead of mindless self-worship, what I mean to say is that I believe I have the experience and an idea of how political RP should run: an escalation of force an tactics. Try and buddy up with everyone, then try to convince them your view is in their best interests, then turn to blackmail and finding the skeletons in their closet. All else fails? Pay a few henchmen with strong arms to give a less-than-verbal lesson.
This time instead of playing a goody-two-shoes rebel fanboy, or a egomaniacal villain, I seek to play a character who isn't even "morally grey"- Just a boring, average man living their life. Someone who abides by the rules, works in their own benefit, and is truthfully just a bitter and annoying person to be around having been sculpted into an asshole by the status quo (y'know, world occupation, alien regime. doesn't exactly put someone in a good mood.) I will not explain my character outright bar some details, though I will say they are intended to be anally bureaucratic, incredibly strict and focused on their interpretation of the law. Someone who you ask for a favor, and they ask for form B-206 or whatever.
Pros:
- Legislation guy
- PsyOps
- Will enforce the bureaucracy and its relevance (including enforcement of legislation)
- Blackmail
- Art of the Deal
Cons:
- Flipfloppy
- Former Head of Staff (ew!)
- Will divert from character personality if I forget my own fucking concept

Yes I like this very much (even though different party)

ACCEPTED
Given that the server is not yet open, it will take a little longer to get the characters up and running in terms of scripts etc.

In that time I advise you familiarise yourself with the pre-existing systems we have in place, collaborators, District council, and councillors.
