The BEST totally serious V3 biography.
Sometime, early enough occupation, a picture ends up on a desk.
"Boss, I got the victim of the bar stabbing."
"That's the guy who got shanked in the bar?"
"Yeah, he had an ID on him, Joe Moter."
"Where the fuck did he get his picture taken? Our shithole has better cameras."
"This was the only thing attached to his file."
"Why the hell is the date scratched out, can't you get me a better photo?"
"Whoever last handled him crossed the date out."
"Why should I care about this guy, I want a suspect."
"You know Nelson? Addict down by the crack house?"
"How should I know every fuckin' druggie?"
"Nelson says that his- and the victim's dealer stabbed him out."
"Which dealer, we got about seven."
"Tomas, guy who slings coke- or something like it."
"Don't touch him, get the fuck out of my office."
Nelson was reported missing one day after his report. He might've been found in an Infestation Control barrel, nobody could say for sure.
The case was scrapped, two days later the promising officer was found dead, crushed by a fridge in an apartment block.
Three months later the entire department was purged. The man running it was charged with corruption.
The case was a pretty big local scandal, though none of the victims saw any attention and it blew over in a few weeks.
Tomas died from chemical accident during a workshift. He didn't put a filter in his gas mask because he wanted to sell it after the shift.
Joe Moter wouldn't be remembered, the image would be lost in old records after the Combine went fully digital.
People wanted Joe Moter V3, and so I've made V3 Joe Moter. He died a good few years before V3 opening and the D1 event. Nobody remembers him well enough to have any recollection of him, the best memory someone could have of him is an addict using drugs to cope with the world being turned over. I've made it possible for it to both be canon and non-canon, I say non-canon but you could say he is entirely canon and it wouldn't make a slight difference. Moral of the story: Nothing Ever Happens. I was also just bored and wanted to make something, hopefully this is lore accurate.
