Who is Beauregard Pinckney?
A question asked by many of the people of District 1 when first hearing the name, Pinckney hasn't made too much effort to make himself known outside of his District. Not due to a lack of care, or a lack of education on the importance of getting your name out there- but due to the fact he's remained within District 7 through thick and thin. He made no transfer to District 1, he's made no attempt to be elected within the City. Instead, as a member of The Harmony Collective, he's been making an effort to make sure the resources District 1 had been providing to District 7 had actually been used for their purpose. Having been known to work in more unorthodox fashions than the rest of the Collective, Pinckney has been known to bring two disagreeing parties into a room and brokering some kind of agreement. Whether through violence or coercion isn't entirely known. What is known, is that Pinckney gets results, and seemingly remains loyal to the City and the people around him. His book "A New Rome" circulating in some circles, though not quite gaining widespread traction.
Who was Beauregard Pinckney?
Born in 1957 in Lafayette, Louisiana, Beauregard didn't have much growing up. Living on the outskirts of the town, he'd known the swamps of his home state for his entire youth. Though he'd occasionally go out fishing, as a young boy he would spend most of his time reading. Everything from Comic Books, to History Novels, to whatever was laying around the home. Whatever it was, it was enough to get him into what little advanced courses were available in rural Louisiana; the boy's studies lead to him getting a scholarship to the University of South Carolina, which spring boarded him into getting a Ph.D in Law from the University of Yale. Afterwards, he'd be employed as a criminal prosecutor in the state of Louisiana, until in 1997 he was elected as a Judge in the First Circuit of the Louisiana Court of Appeals. In 2001, he took the seat of an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Louisiana, happily serving in that position until 2004. The arrival of the Universal Union.
Where has Beauregard Pinckney been?
Pinckney had been assigned to City 13 in 2005, a year after the arrival of the Benefactors. His first few months in the City spent getting a handle on the French way of life, all while meeting with Céline de Velliers and Karl Söderberg. The two informing the former Lawyer of The Harmony Collective, it's ideals, it's processes, and the work that goes into it all. Through these several meetings came an invitation, one Beauregard accepted with glee. Beauregard's time within The Harmony Collective has been his main focus in City 13, avoiding the tragedies of the riots in 2007 due to him volunteering in a neighboring District. After the loss of his two close friends, he had sworn to not leave the District he calls home. Not voluntarily, at least.
Why Beauregard Pinckney?
A man of the people, always willing to help the working man while advocating for more personal freedoms for those who earn them. Being known to advocate politically for many of their issues, such as the lack of proper plumbing within the Citizen Housing, as well as hosting events within various locally owned businesses to drum up traffic there while trying to spread a positive political message. Now, Pinckney is ready to put his Republican ideals laid out within his book "A New Rome" to use. Serving as a Councilor for the district he's lived in, and helping the people with the power of his vote.
