these r becoming more and more unfunny
KAMIL IS SO UNFUNNY IT'S BECOMING IMPRESSIVE
I genuinely need somebody to explain Kamil to me.
Not because I don't understand what he's doing.
I understand perfectly.
That's the problem.
He keeps trying to be funny.
And then the joke happens.
And then everyone just sits there.
And you can practically hear the fluorescent lights in City 13, District 7 buzzing.
Kamil will say something like:
“these r becoming more and more unfunny”
And apparently we're all supposed to collapse.
Absolutely devastating comedy.
Pack it up, District 7.
The funny has arrived.
I've seen Combine propaganda with more comedic timing.
A ration announcement has more personality.
A locked Nexus door has more entertainment value.
At least the door doesn't spend five minutes setting up a joke and then deliver the punchline like it's reading a hostage statement.
And the worst part is the confidence.
Kamil doesn't tell jokes.
Kamil announces that something was funny.
There is a difference.
He'll say something completely ordinary and then wait.
Just wait.
Like the laughter is supposed to load.
Like the server needs to restart.
Like everybody's microphone is malfunctioning.
And when nobody laughs:
"these r becoming more and more unfunny”
No.
We understood it.
That's why nobody laughed.
I've genuinely seen Kamil make a joke, receive absolutely no reaction, and then explain the joke.
This is an incredible strategy.
The first joke didn't work.
So naturally, he adds a second joke by explaining the first joke.
Then, when that doesn't work, he explains the explanation.
At this point we're not doing comedy anymore.
We're doing forensic reconstruction.
And apparently Kamil's defense is that people in District 7 “don't get his humor.”
Of course.
It's everyone else's fault.
A timeless classic.
Every comedian dreams of reaching the stage where nobody laughs and they can simply declare the audience intellectually inferior.
Truly the pinnacle of artistic achievement.
Someone should tell Kamil that being intentionally unfunny is only funny when you're actually being funny.
Otherwise you're just unfunny with an alibi.
But I'm sure he'll explain why that's actually the joke.
Naturally.
The funniest thing Kamil has ever done was probably accidentally be quiet for thirty seconds.
That was genuinely hilarious.
Historic moment.
City 13 briefly experienced peace.
CPs lowered their weapons.
Citizens stopped arguing.
The Nexus became tranquil.
Birds probably returned to the district.
And then Kamil spoke again.
Peace was cancelled.
I don't even dislike Kamil.
That would require me to care enough.
I'm simply documenting a cultural phenomenon.
Kamil attempting humor.
Researchers should study it.
Anthropologists should preserve it.
Future generations need to know what happens when somebody discovers sarcasm and immediately decides they have mastered comedy.
And yes, Kamil is apparently “sad.”
Not sad in the tragic, meaningful, literary sense.
Just sad in the sense that you watch him attempt a joke for the fourth consecutive time and start wondering if somebody should gently escort him away from the keyboard.
Not because he's dangerous.
Because this is becoming difficult for everyone involved.
Anyway, Kamil:
Keep going.
Please.
Seriously.
Every time you attempt another joke, District 7 gets a little funnier.
Not because of the joke.
Because of how spectacularly badly it went.
That's your real comedic talent.
You're not the comedian.
You're the punchline.
