INFORMATION:
Abuse Reports against Moderators are handled by the Moderation Leads and sometimes other members of the Server Council if deemed necessary.
Abuse reports against Short Stories staff members are handled by the Short Stories Managers, and sometimes Server Council if needed.
Abuse Reports against Event Leads members (colloquially referred to as game-masters) are handled by ET Leads and/or those listed above if necessary.
Abuse reports against Mentors are handled by the Mentor Manager.

All abuse reports are taken seriously; we hold all staff members to the highest possible standard. Once a report has been submitted, the appropriate investigating parties will review the appeal independently and decide on a verdict. The accused may never decide on a report submitted against them and their defense must be posted publicly, within the thread itself. If they have additional context to add, they must do so by replying to the thread.

WHEN TO REPORT:
An Abuse Report may be posted when a moderator OR game master OR mentor:

• Breaks a server rule, whether it's an in-game rule or a Discord rule
Is being abusive or disrespectful towards you,
• Is operating in a way that is actively malicious toward the server or community,
Is engaging in any form of misconduct not listed here.

For transparency's sake, ALL Abuse Reports are public by default. A report should, in most cases, only be privatized if personal or highly sensitive information is shared.

WHAT TO INCLUDE:
When submitting an abuse report, we urge you to be as objective as possible. To help expedite the process, we request that you include as much factual information as possible and minimal speculation. Please only report based on something you know someone did, not something you merely assume they did or will do. Before submitting the report, please make sure that at minimum, the following information is included in the thread:
• The name(s) of the reported,
• The players involved/witnesses (if not just you),
• Approximate date and time of the incident,
• Short summary of what happened.

Be clear and concise in your report. Refrain from writing massive walls of text, get to the point. It benefits everyone.

THE PROCESS:
After submitting the report, a private staff-only Discord thread will be created by a member of Management. In there, relevant members of staff (including the defendant) will be formally invited to share all available information regarding the report if they were involved or witnesses in some capacity. They will also be instructed to reply to the abuse report itself if they have crucial information to add.

On the other hand, a private discussion between Moderation Leads will be formed. Regular members of the administration will not have access to this. Here, the information provided on the Forums and Discord will be compared against our server rules and internal staff policies. We do not operate under "precedents" and we will treat each report as its own. If a report does not necessarily fit under a violation of the staff policy OR server guidelines, it will be internally discussed whether it could still be considered misconduct, and action may still be taken regardless.

NOTES:
If your report has gone unanswered for upwards of two weeks, please reach out to a member of Moderation Management (@Rabithunter ) for clarification.
You may not report on behalf of someone else. If reporting for a group, you must be one of the involved parties.
Please do not report someone for an incident that occurred a long time ago. We will not punish individuals for their prior conduct unless it's currently still ongoing.
We will not punish individuals for their actions in other communities unless it's proven to be harmful towards Willard Networks or targeted towards a member of this community.
Please do not report a member of staff simply because you disagree with their decision. Use the Complaints forum instead. A controversial decision does not necessarily constitute an abuse of power.
