Bird and Headcrab Whitelist Guidelines​

Since we introduced the packages of bird and headcrabs into the server, there have been some issues with the roleplay quality which has been on show, and seemingly the lack of realism taken into consideration when roleplaying with such whitelists, this is a simple guide on what not to do with the whitelists and how it can be occupied by yourselves. Please try to maintain a realistic character and do not try to circumvent the following rules in any way.

Birds

Below are some simple rules on what you need to follow so the whitelist is played in a manner which isn’t annoying for other players and gives an overall bad image.

1. Do not drop items off for players.
2. Do not continuously fly into buildings.
3. Make sure your RP is up to standard; don’t disrupt others RP.
4. Do not spam your sound.
5. You're a bird, not a human; keep human to bird interaction minimal/realistic.
6. Don’t open doors, unless it's needed to access another area of the skybox.
7. Don’t open crates/cupboards.
8. You cannot press buttons.
9. Do not use language flags.

Birds can never understand human speech under any circumstances, do not attempt it.

Please remember, that even though this is a donation, breaking these rules could warrant a de-whitelist.

Headcrabs

Similar to birds; we have had reports of the roleplay quality of these particular whitelists being poor. Below are some simple guidelines on what you should do if you wish to roleplay the whitelist correctly and not ruin it for others.

1. Make sure to take action before you attack; no powergaming.
2. You might be aiming to kill someone, but be realistic.
3. You’re attempting to attack, make sure this is visible in your /me’s.
4. Do not go onto the surface at all, unless approved by a new member of staff.
5. Please make sure your /me’s follow basic English.
6. Headcrabs should be for the enjoyment of the players, not for the enjoyment of the player
7. A headcrab must follow the basic P2L system of roleplay. This means NO rolling.
8. While you may occasionally appear to be docile, you are not. Tamed Headcrabs are not allowed unless otherwise approved via an Auth Application. This would require a very good reason, as headcrabs are always hostile creatures.

Please remember, that even though this is a donation, breaking these rules could warrant a de-whitelist; if the rules are contiously broken, the Headcrab whitelist will be locked behind an application.
