- MEGAUPDATE REGARDING EVERYTHING SINCE THE PREVIOUS UPDATE -
THE FINALISER FOR THE FOOD CRISIS
DAYS TWENTY NINE - FORTY TWO (Missing info needed if you want stuff added on.)
The storms that passed through the region of City Twenty Four had critically affected the local infrastructure on a wide scale. The Geo-Storm continued to ensure the city was covered in an ice-summer, due to the continued malfunctions of the Weather Control Tower within Italy. For two weeks, the city progressively endured as it continued to feud amongst the dwindling population for depleting resources. [Calculations were almost reaching a -75 though updates stopped arriving. Was busy with final college work stages since then.] As the supply lines continued to be frozen in place with imports becoming halted, Project Evergreen stalled and work on the SOLIS Project continued with no quarter to its delays. Despite the ongoing attacks of Xen creatures that had xenoformed the lower levels of the city - the Civil Workers Union, Civil Protection and the B.R.I. did not stop their operations despite this.
The city eventually did see itself stabilise even during the storm, where steady improvements and work to restoring infrastructure and food distribution operations continued without heavy deviance from its route.
- PROJECT SOLIS was completed during this time, where work continued even during the storm. The large structure in the middle of Victory Street was critical to providing heat distribution to the entire district. Attempts to sabotage the facility ultimately failed.
- The Civil Workers Union constructed a very large vessel capable of harvesting leeches at an incredible pace. The cannery was once overwhelmed with large amounts of leeches pouring into the singular entity, however attacks from multiple hordes of creatures cause upmost tensions to rise in its cannery. The hordes were swiftly prioritised for sterilisation after the incident, destroying them entirely.
- Multiple generators were attacked causing them to be disabled, damaged and / or repaired during the catastrophe, lessening Combine response to both the crisis and anti-civil activities. Eventually, the Civil Worker's Union prioritised City Restorative Operations as to maintain any decaying structures, technology and quality of life.
- Project Evergreen thawed as the preparations previously made succeeded in ensuring grain growth and supply was safely gathered. However, local railways completely froze over, causing heavy delay in said supply chains to reach their destination.
- The city manufactured a water recycler to gain access to melted ice. It provided a method for clean water to be gathered after lakes and reservoirs froze over.
- A shooting occurred on Victory Street leaving one individual dead, another wounded, and a handful of citizens traumatized. Civil Protection are believed to have amputated the suspect after a gruelling ten minutes of fighting.
- The MAA Parade Occurs along with the unveiling of the MAA Statue, For a brief evening; MAA Soldiers in uniform become a common sight though some of the underclass choose to assault and attack MAA Soldiers leading to Civil Protection getting involved once bottles begin being thrown.
- Insurgents exchange fire with Civil Protection through Triumph Street. Automatic gunfire followed by rifle shots break the peaceful silence. Gunshots were ringing out almost daily and shootings became a more common affair for citizens. The Regime addressed this with additional security measures, despite strain.
- Zombie attacks were common, Civil Protection deaths and mass-inspections & curfews were called during the chaos of the crisis. Individuals were hung from the catwalks, while the Civil Administration recorded a loss of over fifteen documents.
- The transfers of most of the District's population left a great deal of skilled labourers lacking in the area. The city suffered for a great deal until their return. Though the Geostorm was over, PROJECT SOLIS overheated the district with heatwaves for a brief period due to its continued running, before it had to be deactivated manually, with the loss of multiple people without protection. The climate returned to normal.
- City 40 stabilised and was able to still produce, though the main harvest still remains ruined. Continued shipments arrive to City Twenty Four that feeds the population.
- Industrial Seventeen sent food rations to City Twenty Four after the city reactivated OCIN.
The city recovered after the Geostorm successfully, with an event score of 80/100 following the events that had occurred between the previous update and the return to City Twenty Four from Industrial Seventeen.

CHAOS IN INDUSTRIAL SEVENTEEN CONCLUSION
The month-long reprieve from City Twenty-Four has ended. Those who survived the chaos in the industrial district return home back to a life uncertainty, as the Food Crisis ended by the time they returned. For better or worse, the tourists from Twenty-Four brought change to the industrial district. Perhaps this was the entire reason the administration allowed this transfer to take place, given the unpredictability of the citizens that are registered on system.
—The Purge & Vuente Underground—
After a plot to overthrow the corrupt Vuente Cartel's administration was uncovered and the district was thrown into chaos. Overwatch slaughtered the corrupt Civil Protection units by order of Sector Seventeen's adjutant to the Global Administration. Politicians in the industrial district were not spared, leaving the positions that the corrupt officials had held empty, running on fumes. The Combine sent forth two Civil Protection commanders to take charge of the district until replacements could arrive as a last resort. It is likely these replacements could end up just as corrupt as the previous administration. Thomas Newcastle who arrived to the region, shortly after his arrival, quickly evacuated after discovering the level of danger and abhorrence of the Industrial Sector... it is questionable whether the Combine have decreed his desertion to be an amputation offense, or whether to give him another chance of redemption. Nobody knows for sure.
Though staggering from the loss of Frederick White, the Vuente Administrator known as 'Reyes' survived the entire ordeal, returning with a vengeance with his enforcers that were loyal to him. Industrial Seventeen units that are successfully corrupted continue to sneakily operate under the shadows, providing a means for Reyes to continue his terror tactics unopposed. Local forces are already hard-pressed dealing with the resistance and the hydra threat.
—Project FLYTRAP—
Despite the loss of one of the CPRD's most experienced scientists being Hex Sanchez, the local CPRD team was still able to gather all of the research data and information they needed to finish their project. The Industrial district was seen as merely a testing ground for a dual CTAP-CAI experiment using the secondary air-exchange facilities to produce Xen Spores into the air supply. Project FLYTRAP would soon be implemented globally for functioning Industrial Sectors only as Mass-Dispersal-Suppressants to unruly populations, installing an aerial-produced toxin to breathe in for unruly regions
—Hydra Threat—
After countless hours of research, the CPRD was remotely able to find a way to fight back against the Hydra nests plaguing the city, though the nests were not combatted directly. An egg was stolen from the nest with an Overwatch strike force, leaving no trace or recipe for disaster in its obtainment, by sheer luck. Discovering that the hydras could be controlled or killed through the use of specific temperatures and in the use of cryogenics, the scientists developed weaponry specifically to deal with the Hydra threat. However, this came far too late as shortly after the chaos erupted within Industrial Seventeen, the nest awoke and took over most of the construction zone as the entities pushed forward. The area is now a quarantine zone, and is a hotbed for testing cryogenic equipment by local infestation control teams.
—The Foul—
The local resistance group managed to destroy the local air exchange said to be polluting the city while only taking minimal losses. The air exchange was believed to be the source of the pollution in the industrial district. Its first attack disabled the structure, causing the air quality to slowly improve in the district, where wearing a mask was no longer deemed mandatory. The functions of the air exchange were later to be revealed as a catalyst for 'The Foul' - produced by the FLYTRAP machine using Seattle-Prime XMZ spores obtained in the West Coast of America, during the Operation Codename: 'VENUS'.
Sadly the air exchange was built too close to the city, as methods to remove the pollution entirely failed... the air-conditioner generators were constantly sabotaged and underpowered to deal with the aerial threat, with the air exchange being too close to the city in its proximity. The rebels had unknowingly destroyed one of the main generators keeping the air in the city somewhat breathable.
The Combine has started construction of a new air exchange at a location much farther away, deactivating the air exchange unit at Shell Port... hopefully far enough away to fully remove the pollution affecting the district that demonstrated a likely blockade for a remote OCIN Connection. Construction is very slow. The air-exchange that was attacked is currently routed to secondary systems permanently due to the serious damage caused by the rebels and is only used as a means to suppress the civilian population should they attempt riots or worker revolt through the use of The Foul.
—Rebel Redemption—
While Lambda showed incredible disappointment with the rebels from Twenty-Four, the successful destruction of the air exchange somewhat redeemed the rebels in the eyes of Lambda. Their bold moves against overwhelming odds proved to deform most senses of doubt. They allowed the resistance to escape through the use of the ocean surface, and therefore allowed them to return towards City Twenty Four. The Broker survived along with many of his compatriots. The resistance caused the collapse of the Vuente Cartel through the use of subversion, though its results were rather a worst-case-scenario which brought upon reconnecting Industrial-Seventeen to the Overwatch AI.
