Devblog #22 - Grenades, Cigarettes, Masks, Ambient
Big ol'thanks to the Developers as usual for their amazing content!

Some of you may already be aware of most of this devblogs content as much of it is already in the server but to catch up since then I’ve listed the larger changes below. Thanks again to the developers and thanks to the community for improving and making the server a joyful experience, whop-de-doh! :approve:


1. TBC Grenades



Support for grenades in TBC is now implemented with a set of grenades available to craft and use.

  1. Frag grenade - Deals good damage within its radius.
  2. Flashbang – Blinds your opponent and reduces their action points on their turn
  3. Smoke grenade – Generate covers of smoke for sneaky maneuvering
  4. Incendiary grenade – Sets an area on fire dealing damage over time


2. Cigarettes



@Fruity with his magical skills has conjured up the addition of cigarettes without the use of PAC. Thank you Fruity for filling up every characters lungs with some good tasty ol’fashioned smoke! Shops with the snacks, luxury, alcohol, non-alcoholic permits may sell them. Don’t forget to purchase a lighter as well to light it up!

3. Masks hide your identity

If you equip a bandana or a gas mask you’ll show up as a “Masked Person” to individuals looking at your character. This includes characters you’ve f3’d.


4. Ambient music system

A new ambient system is implemented to boost the atmosphere in the server and reduce admin busywork as we no longer need to manually play music as much as before. Players now have more control over music as well, the ambient can be switched off or reduced in music volume via the settings.



5.1 Tool durability

All tools now have durability implemented. this means you can no longer buy a tool and have it last forever. To encourage tool shops to grow your tools will decrease in durability every time you use one in a crafting/cooking/etc recipe.


5.2 Scenery text



Players can now place down descriptive scenery text with /scenetext <text> each player may have 1 scenery text active and it automatically fades away after a while.


5.3 Minimum character text

We've there was some confusion when filling in the character creation text fields in relation to text limitations. To clarify this we've added the minimum character descriptors.


5.4 Transaction logs

CCA may now view transaction logs with their PDA in search for suspicious acitivty
