Hello, I'm dingus. I come from a different community. I love roleplay and I wanted to see how and why this community is booming with so many players. How old is this community and can you guys help me out? What's going on atm?

Also, few things about me. I love Civil Protection as a whole, I love Star Wars and hl2rp

Welcome to the community. Basically we used to be under the name "TeslaCloud" back in 2018, but that community collapsed and we henceforth became what you see, now. We started off and built up from nothing other than a Discord server under development from 2019 in January. We had a christmas launch in 2020 but though what you could expect to go wrong in an HL2RP server did exactly that. So we shut down in February and sorted ourselves out.

From that point, we were in a development and reformation cycle again to which we launched a very successful beta in in June / July. We launched the main server around either July or August.

What you are seeing now is the result of the dedication, or perhaps just sheer stubbornness from our part, lmao.

You can apply for CPs in the faction information section on the forums where you can find "Applications" as a section.

As for what's going on right now, we're getting event arcs organised and storylines drawn, including a reignition of our lore section for the HL2RP server. Enjoy your stay, my guy.

I can talk about Civil Protection my boy

Essentially, we are the Classic Civil Protection Hl2rp. Some of us are bad, most of us are good. And a couple of us are just plain evil. Civil Protection on Willard isn't what you usually see in Nebulous or other servers. We are given a ton of leeway in what we can do, and we aren't like this stark weirdness of OfC+ being cold and unfeeling.

i5s - Rl are essentially still human, with feelings, anger, hate, love, rage all of that. But instead of becoming cold like a regular old hl2rp OfC they retain their emotions. OfCs - Captains are where things can be a bit more drastic. Essentially a Transhuman in a Cop suit.

I'd be glad to have more cops, since we have an activity problem as of late. So, when the apps open up soon. You can apply.

Current affairs in the server:

~City Twenty Four is placed directly under the squabbling influences of City Thirteen in Paris and City Thirty Two in Rome. Both cities are clashing ideologically due French Hyper-Republicanism and Italian Neo-Futurism. City Twenty Four's centro-isolationism approach was currently lifted away by the Sector Administration - the group of higher up administrators controlling different continental sectors across the world.

~City Two is currently under siege. London is nothing more than a heap of debris, due to the aftermath of the Seven Hour War in 2004. A massive uprising has taken place on the British Isles and by far one of the worst areas for the Combine to try and pick a fight, for the time being.

~We have regular events on the server including the resistance and the Combine. Up to you to decide who you want to find and join.

~We have a world map you can look into and interact with. Lore section is also on the forums.

Thanks a lot for the help. So, I definitely want to be joining any Union-affiliated factions as I always enjoy the roleplay there more. Can you tell me when the Civil Protection apps will re-open?

The two guys have been placed in charge of the faction and ultimately have so far been doing an amazing job at it. They can tell you what's what.

Just to clarify a little bit extra as well - Hiros and Robert are OTA leads if you ever wish to look into that, as well.

Oh, I know Hiros a little bit. I never had any experience as OTA, only as CP for like 1-4 years on multiple serious rp communities.
