For a while now, not many have really known both externally and internally what Willard's actual organisation and structure is laid out, causing a lot of confusion of who is who, who does what, what level is considered a manager and who do I need to go to first to begin any form of process?
First is the chart which you can see here:
Looking at this chart and starting from the top we have:
Management:
Staff Team & Developers
Mentors
Creative & Narrative Teams
Short Stories Team
Gameplay Teams & Other
First is the chart which you can see here:
Looking at this chart and starting from the top we have:
Management:
Community Manager / Tech Lead | Not really involved with HL2RP these days, but are the ones managing the Willard Community as a whole. Generally they are considered the highest point of contact with Atle being incharge of the Community as its Director. As for the tech lead, basically inherently part of Community Management as the Technical Leadership- when it comes to developers, problems on other communities within Willard and so on, they are the key point of contact. There is also a "Lead Developer" role but no longer in writing, more or less a theoretical position- the English side of the development is controlled by the Server Council. Who fills these roles?: @Atle - Community Director/owner @Votton - Tech Lead @Noodle |
Server Director / Server Council | The Council of the English HL2RP server, they handle all forms of higher up management affairs and other duties, ensuring the Server follows in its vision of HL2RP and makes sure everyone and all teams are up to date. Who fills these roles?: @Imperator RAD-X - Server Director (Also a founding CM) @TheDeNuke @Robert @Neonity @Memesky @Hayden @Divine - Server Council |
Head Of Staff | The Head of Staff whose duty is to gain new staff, remove existing staff for any reason necessary and keeps the Staff Team in check. They also have the ability to remove or pick new staff for the position of that of the likes of "Mentor Manager". They also primarily handle admin abuse reports and being the communication bridge between Staff and the Server Council. Who fills this role?: @Neonity @Memesky |
SS Management | The Managers of the Short Stories Team. They generally exist outside of the hierarchy or structure of the HL2RP side of things as they are only partially connected. But they are linked in with lore when it comes to HL2RP Willard Events and all that jazz. They are an interesting entity. Who fills this role?: @Hayden @alessiodoomboy |
Mentor Manager | With a Head of Staff also comes a "Lead Mentor" which is what the Mentor Manager is, the leader of the Mentors of the Server. They generally can add or remove mentors, handle any affairs within and so on. Pretty self-explanatory. Who fills this role?: @Shimac's Stew |
CT Coordinator | Once more, a leader. Or well Leaders- as unlike Mentor Manager and HOS, there is 3 Coordinators to run the whole Lore, Creative and Narrative sections of the Community, they have a lot of work generally in keeping the whole setup moving. Who fills this role?: @Astro @Cengiz |
Staff Team & Developers
Head Of Staff | Read "Management" |
Admin | It is worth noting that while Admins are full Staff members of the Community, they are mainly there for moderation of the Server and its respective Community. It is a misconception that Admins can do everything, even though they can't and we have Teams and organisation for a reason, to keep everyone on a limited amount of jobs. Admins are here for your moderation needs. |
Trial Admin | Trial Admins are those who are not quite full staff yet, but are mainly there to "Tryout" the role to see if they fit in with the rest of the team and to see if they can actually do what is being asked of them. They focus on the Moderation side of the Community. |
Developer | Developers are quite simply the ones make and baking the features of Willard and its many servers. Not every developer works for the English Community though so keep that in mind prior to messaging one... or don't message them at all as they can't do anything to help you. |
Mentors
Mentor Manager | Read "Management" |
Mentors | Mentors are the helpful members of the community given the duty of extending an helping hand to any player in need. Ensuring that players both old and new have some form of assistance to come by if and when they need it. |
Creative & Narrative Teams
CT Coordinator | Read "Management" |
Creative Team Member | Creative Team are here to run Events, Plan them, log them, etc etc. Pretty self-explanatory as they fill the shoes of a GameMaster in RP settings. Members: [Read the CT/NT Roster] |
Short Stories Team
Short Stories Management | Read "Management" |
Short Stories Member | A member of the Short Stories team who often run events, plan them and so on within SS. Basically what you would expected them to do. |
Gameplay Teams & Other
Auth Manager | This spot is for he who manages the Auths of characters. Generally being the one to make final decisions to accept or decline auths that people send in and keeping the team up to date. Members: @vasilidesu |
Auth Team | The Auth Team is those under the Auth Manager helping keep Auths in constant review and making sure all is well and good. Just a nice time to help out the duties of the Manager. |
PK Manager | The PK Manager is the one who handles all the PKs everyone submits. Whether a request or appeal, or even a change to the PK policy. They are the person for the job. Members: @Cengiz |
Gameplay Team | The Balance Team is committed to ensure the server does not go too far sided one way or the other. Their job is to make sure Factions and Rebels are both operating smoothly and are not causing balance issues for one another. Members: @Robert @Rabithunter @Hayden |
BMD Manager | BMD Managers are those who run the BMD side of things within the Rebel scene. They also have a big part in the Underground group and its operations, keep Taskmasters in line and generally ensure the Player BMDs are doing well and getting orders sorted. They also have the responsibility of updating player rep and keep the economy in check. Members: @Rabithunter |
Faction Leader | Faction Leads are those who lead Factions obviously. They sit under the Balancer or Balance Lead depending on how you wish to call it by. |
Rebel Representative | Rebel Representatives are those who hold some authority and control over the Rebel scene, similar to BMD Managers who handle the Underground and its operations- but generally when you have issues as a Rebel, your best bet is to communicate with the Representatives who will relay Rebel issues to Staff during meetings and keep the Balancer and Gameplay Manager in the loop about the status of Rebel sided gameplay. |
Data Composer | The Data Composer is someone who well... composes data. This can be user feedback, general community analytics, creating useful boards and such and well handling a load of data useful to making improvements to gameplay. |
