<:: LEGION SKY ::>

Legion Sky is an airborne corp-formation that acts as a rapid response force for Overwatch. Their primary mission is to quickly respond to developing high-intensity situations and rebellions. In accordance with this doctrine, Legion Sky is able to be fully mobilized and in the air under one or two hours. The legion is split into five fifteen-thousand man divisions (1st Airborne Division to 5th Airborne Division). A fleet of heavily modified C-17s (or Mil Mi-17s for closer and tactical needs) acts as Legion Sky’s primary transports into hot-zones. Under normal circumstances, Legion Sky is grounded at the ‘ANVIL’ Mega Depot: awaiting orders from Overwatch to be deployed at a moment’s notice. In smaller-scale situations, if the incident demands it, Overwatch will send over a small detachment of Legion Sky to the area. Legion Sky is mainly reserved to respond to events such as the Eastern Uprising by the East Sino-Indian Confederation and the ongoing Soviet Reclamators situation.

Legion Sky excels at paratrooper drops and helicopter air assaults. When doing paratrooper operations, Legion Sky is able to bring its whole load of weaponry and specifically designed armored vehicles - turning Legion Sky into a fully operational mechanized force (imagine the VDV during the Cold War). When doing helicopter air assaults, Legion Sky is unable to bring much of its heavier load and is turned into rapid light infantry.

Legion Sky has a long history of operations throughout the occupation of Earth, none more so when the Eastern Rebellion occurred. The 1st to 3rd Airborne Divisions were sent to China to assist Overwatch forces in the encirclement and liquidation of over-stretched ESIC divisions. The 4th and 5th Airborne Divisions were dropped into Indian cities to stall enough time for larger Overwatch forces to move in and combat heavily armed rebels and coming Indian army divisions. In the aftermath of the ESIC conflict, Legion Sky was reassigned to wipe out any leftover remnants. To the present, Legion Sky is currently operating against the Soviet Reclamators.
