Dark red is direct french land. Light red is puppet states. Bright orange (aka norway and denmark) are allies

Assuming the Continental System actually wouldn't have collapsed into open rebellion by the time of Napoleon's death should it have succeeded, but I'd say this is rather an accurate depiction. Dunno about Prussia and the Austrian Empire, they'd have to be practically idle for there to be that much red on the map.

The hold on Italy was never complete (Italy wasn't subjugated in its totality), on top of what Rad-X said (mostly about Prussia/Austria, never held either). How long did it take you? And what's the website? I could use a few map colourers myself. It's pretty good!

Took me less then 5 minutes, I was also using this image as a reference to his land and puppet states and allies.
I'll probably do a semi realistic one later on this week.
