Summary:
The Posthumanist Coalition is a relatively substantial group of resistance fighters located within the South-Eastern fringes of the North American landscape. This location, lying within the now archaic wastes of America, serves as the homefront of the group. Multitudes of minor cells have also been established across select parts of the world where strategic opportunities were present.
The Coalition is an extremist counterpoise of more traditional resistance values. While the hatred they hold for the Combine Empire clasps them squarely in allegiance with most groups and organizations opposed to the Union, the means in which they approach the potential reorganization of a liberated mankind and the malice they carry for all non-human creatures, generates a great deal of mistrust for them. Because of this, they typically act independently of larger and more widespread resistance cells, such as Lambda.
The beliefs they hold center around the controlled evolution of mankind, a concept not dissimilar to the current occupiers of earth. They believe that, while the combine is the greatest enemy of man and must be destroyed, the technologies, wonders and even horrors brought upon the world should not only be preserved, but reutilized by mankind well after it's liberation for its betterment.

Organization:
“They may have their empire. But Earth is ours.”

The Coalition is housed within the scarcely intruded anarchy zone of the southern corner of the former United States. Nestled upon the small Hutchinson Island in Georgia, lies their main base of operations, a long defunct and heavily refurbished Westin Savannah Harbor Resort. This houses the top leaders and most valuable secrets, while also being the location where most research into advanced concepts, be them of Combine origin or human, are explored.
The entire island is well fortified from potential attackers using a great deal of improvised defenses. The surrounding city of Savannah is also lousy with scouts, snipers and forward checkpoints to prevent any xenian or union reconnaissance from breaching it's small, but formidable border. The group also makes use of the Savannah river for access to the Atlantic Ocean. A small custom dock and supply yard is emplaced upon Cockspur island to receive and send away small supply vessels that occasionally arrive with research materials and foodstuffs necessary for continued operations. The group also engages in trade with smaller non militant elements for supplies, though this makes up only a small portion of gathered and housed resources. Food is grown atop of tarped roofs using soil plots, designed to look as inconspicuous as possible.
The ruined city of Savannah offers a healthy amount of protection from prying eyes. What one sees before anything else, is the dying metropolitan districts. The burned away gardens and parks. The smell of xenian flora prospering in the undisturbed lands, long since conquered. This local xenian infestation, brought on by unknown means, is one of the principal problems the homestead will face. While the island offers shelter from it's corruption, the resort and living spaces of the Collation are constantly being encroached upon by uncaring alien flora and fauna.
To combat this, a small group, similar to the CRU in function and name (Simply called The Restoration Force) spend much of their time preserving the immediate surroundings using explosives, flames and manufactured chemicals; all gathered and made by the groups Research Division.

The Coalition is led by a small council of members. Each one deriving from special duties within the greater cause. Known details of each member is listed below.

Casey Reagan:

Primary Authority.

Compared to the far more anonymous members of the council, she stands as the most documented individual of the group. Not by any intent of hers however. Unlike most who find themselves in the greater resistance, Casey was once an Administrator for City Seventy from the years of 2007 to 2011. Due to her adherence and seemingly genuine appraisal of the Transhumanist ideals, few suspected her eventual disappearance from the public and private eye. Officially, she was murdered by rebels shortly after her departure from City 70, a hasty coverup for the factual occurrences.
In truth, her sudden withdrawal from the union launched a manhunt carried out by local OTA forces in an attempt to track her down. She was never found however. Not so much of a trace of her was uncovered for the next few months. In time though, outland scanners managed to find her fleeing to the anarchy zone. A hunter chopper along with an OTA kill team was deployed, but found only the destroyed scanner and nothing else. Due to this, it is believed that the coalition forces found her first, and had existed sometime before her departure.
The overwatch forces have declared her to be the head of the Coalition, which seems to be an assured fact. While never going too far into the open, word has spread of some of her appearances.
If her rule of City 70 is to be any indication of conduct, she is a hardline, openly authoritarian figure. She was hardly hesitant to engage in questionable acts if she deemed them necessary, which seems to have carried over to the general attitude of the Coalition. She is believed to be alive and well, rarely venturing out from the homeland of her group of outcasts.

Richard Halloran:

Logistics Lead

Little is truly known about him, though some speculation is notable.
He is believed to be the head of global operations for the group, in charge of most distant cell activities. Naturally it can be assumed he collaborates quite often with other members, but it is unknown if he actively engages with outsiders. Intelligence is his field and he has thus far done well keeping sensitive information, most notably the location of the main base, from the combine.
It is believed he uses Terminal 9 as a means of transferring members to desired locations. Whether he operates under a false name and CID within the Terminal is unknown.

Unknown Doctor:

Head of Research and Development

Aside from running the Research Division of the Coalition, very little can be gathered on this person, simply due to the overflow of information. A total of six different names have been attributed to this man, or woman, along with several different points of origin. Most of these are suspected to have originated from within the organization as ploys and deliberate and sometimes propagated lies. What this person and their team has accomplished is unknown, as many similarly false claims have been made. Far as can be proved, no major technological developments have been made. No evidence would suggest signs of the organization ceasing its efforts to correct this assumption.

Thomas Aristides:

Restoration Captain

Presently the head of the restorative efforts of the local Savannah area. While likely the lowest member of the council, this sect of the Coalition is desired to expand beyond it's very limited scope in time. His exact duties, aside from the running of the Restoration Force, are unknown. It is believed he may cooperate with Kirsten Winston often as a military advisor.

Kirsten Winston:

Marshal

A former North American conscript for a short period after the war. Served in the air force of the United States prior to union occupation. Little else is known aside from her position as a leader of the militant branch of the Posthumanist Coalition. Deployed tactics by the Coalition imply she specializes in underhanded machinations to achieve her goals. In spite of the many obstacles that often lay before her forces.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ideology:

“The world will never be the same. It is important we not find ourselves shackled to a begotten past while our future falls further away each passing moment. We must do as we have always done in the face of adversity. Adapt. Evolve. Becoming better than we were yesterday, is the only path for tomorrow.”

Posthumanist Colalition000011.png

The Posthumanist Coalition wears the ideals they carry shamelessly, regardless of the ire it can bring towards their own members. Unlike many of these groups who seek to return Earth to a similar state prior to the Portal Storms and Seven Hour War, the coalition believes that this not only a futile goal, but one hardly worth chasing.
They desire to repurpose the various technologies of the combine for the exclusive benefit of mankind. This does not simply end at the application of medigel, or highly efficient ration systems to combat famine. No, they seek a far greater, far more controversial end with such technologies. They seek what mankind was promised. Ascension.
They are transhumanists at heart, though are well aware that the combine can never be trusted with the final destiny of mankind. They seek to ascend to the stars with man, and only man. To cast all others deep down if that’s what it takes. They seek immortality, they seek power. They seek everything that so many have come to fear. Yet, no love is held for the Combine empire itself. The invaders will serve as nothing more than a stepping stone, a final tribulation for mankind to overcome. After all, no star was ever reached without first climbing a mountain.
The Loyalists of the world are viewed as little better than the oppressors from on high. Cell operatives will regularly target these individuals, be they administrators or simple doctors, in order to negatively impact Union operations. They are not above extreme tactics, such as terrorism, to achieve any desired goals. Despite this, they are generally hospitable to most civilians, so long as they are not loyalists, or getting in the way.
They are also a widely human-centric group. They view Vortigaunts the same as most people view headcrabs; pests. Parasites. They hold no sympathy for the plight of the Vortigaunts and grant them no quarter. For such creatures are viewed as little better than the combine they fled from so long ago. Some are eliminated on sight with no remorse. However, this is often a task easier said than done, especially for smaller cells. Often, they will stay their hand unless a costless victory can be assured. The Coalition will also generally refrain from attacking vortigaunts that are directly allied with other local rebel forces, in order to avoid unnecessary conflict. In certain circumstances, they may even, begrudgingly, work alongside vortigaunts if the greater good calls for such actions. Enslaved Biotics will rarely be spared, but even if they are, they will be 'liberated' only to serve with conditions very similar to what would be found inside the Cities of Earth. As of now, only two biotics have been captured, as the Coalition has no means of recreating the advanced collars and shackles worn by the Vortigaunts. Typically, they do not seek out biotic slaves, so the purpose of the captured duo is uncertain.
These prejudices and actions alone put them at odds with most organized groups of rebellion, who generally favor Vortigaunts, having forgotten or forgiven past conflicts. But the Coalition remembers the opening hours, days and even weeks of the Portal Storms. On a dying planet, there can never be two dominant species. As such, the hostility towards these creatures is rarely born from the division of species, but from the harsh realities of a broken world.

Tactics:
“There is a grand subtly in victory. Frankly the best kind is where your foes have yet to learn you’ve won.”

Tactics V2000000.png
For the most part the group operates as a non-militant subversive force. Not by choice, but due to the sheer amount of obstacles and struggles they must constantly overcome. With little in the way of allies with other resistance groups, they must cover all bases alone, leaving them very vulnerable and overextended in many sectors of operations. They also lack arms and weaponry often seen with other groups such as lambda. With little interior support from corrupt, or sympathetic loyalists, modern armors and weapons are devastatingly hard to come by. Most operatives will simply use recovered and heavily refurbished weapons from the old world. Failing this, widely available, though highly ineffective, homemade weaponry will be deployed.
Due to the lack of reliable armaments, the group typically avoids active combat unless they can assure the upper hand. Overwatch forces are rarely engaged, and only if severely outnumbered. While the group is adversaries to the Vortigaunts, these creatures will only ever be engaged if definitive advantages are stacked towards the Coalition forces. Close Quarters Combat is avoided at all cost with most foes due to them often lacking any form of armored protection.
For the most part, the Military-Arm Arteria has served as the primary foe of the Coalition on the homefront. Despite these troops being far better supported and equipped, most minor engagements will end with a Coalition victory due to much better weapons training and field tactics. That being said, these tactics have proven faulty against the far more attuned Overwatch forces. Only one major engagement has been recounted between the factions, resulting in a brutal amputation of all present Coalition Forces.

Appearance and apparel
“Those who look proper, shall prosper.”

Appearence V1000029.png
For most members, uniforms are a non-existent concept. Most that simply work from within the confines of Savannah or other clandestine locations will often be identified with nothing more than a single armband. Most will have embedded onto them, the inginia of the group, though others may simply be a flat, unassuming red hue. It also goes without saying that clandestine operatives make no attempt to show any colors while on mission.
Soldiers, or active militants of the Coalition tend to be the only ones with any real uniform. Surprisingly, the uniforms are quite theatrical, far more than may be expected of a rebel organization. Typically soldiers will wear dusters, or trench coats. The color pallet is an unassuming grey with different hems dependent upon rank. Light Grey will be the mark of common soldiers. A vibrant red will signify officers, or commanders of any type. They will often come equipped with various bandoliers, field equipment, and environmental assets. This however, varies depending on need rather than miscellaneous fashions.
The uniforms are produced from within a previous defunct workers shop in a nearby district of Savannah. While the uniform is impressive, it is little more than a natural compensation for a lack of tactical equipment. After all, behind the tail of the peacock, you are unlikely to find bulletproof vests. The same can be said for the flamboyant footmen of the Coalition. For them, it's an illusion. A means to appear stronger and more put together than they really are. Who knows if anyone actually believes it. Once the shooting starts, it really doesn't matter.

Notable Events:
“It could have gone better. Just make sure no one else figures that out.”

Citybuild Fin000070.png

2011- The Coalition is first encountered shortly upon the Departure of Casey Reagan. They would be documented as Containment 23 by Overwatch forces. Any actions taken prior to this are entirely unknown.

2013- The group caused a major stir within the North American continent. A regional claim to civil elements that the Suppression field had been disabled within certain regions. At first, this prompted a stringent and large response from overwatch forces, even temporarily granting the Coalition as Contaminant-Prime. However, within a few days it was realized the claim was completely fictitious and the group had instilled no noticeable effects on the field, which was still whole. This would not be the last time the group made completely false, sweeping claims.

September, 2014- The group assaulted a supply Depot said to be housing a shipment of Standard Issue Overwatch equipment. Believed to be guarded by local civil protection within the outer region of City Thirty, District 4. The group organized a force of 54 fighters and four additional logistic elements to steal the equipment. However, they were met with Synthetics and Transhuman defenders who had laid a trap. There were no survivors.

December, 2014- As a likely realltation for the previous defeat the group organized the successful assisination of the District Representative of the District 4, including his wife at the time. The loyalist housing block she resided in was also set ablaze, injuring 22 others, but killing none. This was naturally used as further propaganda against the group.

2015- A large conscript force sent to locate the home of the Posthumanist Coalition was deployed. A large firefight took place 202 miles from Savannah, led by Kirsten herself. The Coalition had been tracking the group for some time and launched an attack upon the road. The battle was a swift and profitable victory, as all salvageable gear was rounded and secured. They would lie about the actual events, claiming that the attack was against an Overwatch battalion.

2015- The group claims to have made strides regarding production of a personally manufactured Pulse Rifle. These claims have yet to be proven, and are believed to be false.

2016- The group begins to have a clear presence throughout Asia as well as Europe. Operations in the latter are believed to have begun as early as 2014. While they are not widely regarded by the public in any respect, they have been noted as a troublesome and particularly opportunistic group by authorities.

2016- A combine train was assaulted and multiple anti-citizens were released from captivity. Curiously, one of whom was a biotic. It was believed at first to be an action of local lambda branches, but suspicions turned towards the Coalition as evidence mounted.

Always has to be ginger chick that leads these groups.

Kind of what we are, only that we wanna get official and have mass power

Made some changes, particularly regarding the relation with vorts, as originally I made the coalition appear far more needlessly hostile than intended. Feel free to post any criticisms of the group so I may attempt to address them.
