Staff Reformation Update

Hi everyone, this announcement is going to be focused on informing you that an internal restructuring is in progress, one of them being the way staff works on the server and performance checks on current running factions within the server. We've been analysing as many threads, concerns, criticisms & critiques to put our effort into issuing a maintenance fix for having a stabilised server you can enjoy. Last week was indeed rough - it proved a great many things, some good and ofcourse some bad, but we are working to improve the community under a long term benefit. Here's what we have in mind for our staff structure:

We've noticed a lot of confusion among staff when it came to the GM/MOD concept and have identified it best to merge the but still allow for specialization, so if you prefer to create events for players you can still do that but the baseline moderation applies for all. We've also introduced a new trial staff rank to teach new people the basics of in-game moderation.

Here's the list of new and remade positions starting under Community Assistant:
The Head of Staff (@Hiros )role will be taking care of the staff activity, applications and such. This person will also be able to promote, demote and be in close contact with CMs.

Then we’ve our Senior Administrators. Each Senior Administrator will be focusing on a single aspect of the server and are below the Head of Staff. We'll have 4 SAs (2 for event) + 3 assistants (1 per category).

We’ve got three specializations:
PK Appeals/Requests (@Gr4Ss) + Assistant [Non SA]
Faction SA (@Maroon) + Assistant [Non SA]
Event SA (@TheDeNuke + @Bling) + Assistant [Non SA]

PK SA (@Gr4Ss)
Will be taking care of the PK Situations, PK Appeals and Requests on the forums along with a PK Authorizations and so on.

The Faction SA (@Maroon) is responsible for overseeing individual factions, their role in the community, and streamline the way they work together to make the server enjoyable. He is in close communication with all faction managers, and ensures that they are following the objectives and solutions that are decided by the staff team and the community. Aside from that, the Faction SA ensures that every faction has every resource they need to successfully run, such as whitelists and development features.

Event SA (@TheDeNuke + @Bling) focused on planning, creating and ensuring that events are run properly and without any issue. This person will also be taking care of the big events and they will mostly decide what can be given out during events hosted by Admins

Admins
Admins are here mainly to ensure the community can remain to a high-standard, our rules are enforced and to settle disputes amongst the playerbase. Admins join various sub-teams to help keep the server running from dealing with ban appeals, to RP quality, and events management.

Trial Admins
Basically New people that are here to be either tested or old folks that were inactive. This is the trial period where we teach new people the baseline of moderation required for Admin.

More updates to follow, we're keeping close eyes on community feedback and are working on improvements! Check out @razan's CCA faction improvements being another welcome update to fix issues!

What happens with existing staff applications? Will all GM/MOD applications be treated as trial admins but specialised in certain areas?

If upon being accepted; you'll be put into a trial position; if you do pass, you will be able to pick an area where you would prefer to specialise within.
