As you sit within the CMU, you spot a stack of pamphlets placed within a plastic pocket on the wall. With nothing to do while you wait, you grab one and read.

How do I become eligible for CALP?
The Combine Assisted Living Program was made for those who are unable to carry out their duty as a citizen due to illness, disability, or old age. With this in mind, you must meet ONE of the following requirements to be eligible for the CALP:
- Have any untreated physical disabilities that prevents you from participating in city work cycles. Examples include: amputation of limbs, blindness, deafness, nervous system damage, debilitating pain, partial or total paralysis, loss of movement, etc.
- Have any untreated mental disabilities that prevents you from participating in city work cycles or normal society. Examples include: schizophrenia, symptoms of psychosis, downs syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, severe brain damage, habitual insubordination, etc.
- Are suffering from any prolonged/permanent disease or illness that prevents you from participating in city work cycles or normal society that your local Civil Medical Union is unable to treat.
- Have suffered a severe injury, whether it be at work or in your daily life, that results in one of the previous three conditions.
Note that the CALP is available to ALL citizens, as well as members of the Civil Protection and Combine Civil Authority! Members of the Collaborator's Party and equivalent may also be eligible for increased benefits!
If deemed necessary, the Civil Protection may order you for examination by the CMU for the CALP. If you meet any of the conditions above but are unable to provide proper response, you may be made required to enter the CALP.
What happens once I am accepted into the CALP?
Once deemed eligible and accepted by your local CMU, you will be issued a relocation coupon for transit to a local medical in-processing station. If you require assistance in order to make this transit, you may be admitted to your CMU's recovery units and assisted to the location upon your relocation time arriving. Upon reaching medical in-processing, you will be given a second examination to determine what medical care is needed within City 19, so that they may be properly prepared and able to render aid upon your arrival.
After this second examination, there will be a crossover period of no more than 24 hours, before you are sent on your way to City 19! You need not worry, as all major paperwork and in-processing is handled by your local CMU and City 19's in-processing procedure!
How do I find out more, or seek elligibility for the CALP?
Visit your local Civil Medical Union for any and all inquiries about the CALP. Let a CMU worker know if you seek examination for the CALP, and they will inform you of their local procedure for examination.
Remember, the good citizen rests easy in the palms of Our Benefactors.
