Official The Combine HUD Update

At long last, the Combine receive a much-needed update to their Heads-Up Display and Visor systems, bringing them a bit closer to the modern standard.
New Waypoints

It was about we did away with those old, Clockwork-Era box waypoints. The Combine can now enjoy a fully animated waypoint resembling City 17 (or just a general combine logo, if you like). These new waypoints can also be used along with a feature added a short while ago, allowing you to choose between 148(!) colors when creating a waypoint. (You can view all available colors through the /ListColors command!)

OTA Compass

The OTA now have access to a toggle-able compass at the top of their screen - this compass displays their bearing, along with distance markers tracking other OTA, CPs, and Team members. This will hopefully allow them to get their bearings better and be more efficient during deployments, especially in unfamiliar environments.

Socio-Stabilization Readout

You know those good-old useless lines of text at the top left of your screen? Long ago, Willard took steps to make them more useful by removing the filler and keeping only the useful ones, but we have now taken it to the next level. With this update, everything that is connected to the Combine network in some way is now effectively logged and will show up for every Combine unit at the top left — getting a ration? They'll know. Using a Combine lock? They'll know. Sending a letter? They're already reading it. Breathing? They probably know that too.

BONUS: Matching shoulderpads and armbands

The CP models now have matching armband-shoulderpad colors. Very fashionable.

Miscellaneous

  • - Ration Distribution is now automatically enabled and disabled based on playercount. This will allow manual ration distribution once again while ensuring rations can still be given out during low pop hours.
  • - The recently-mentioned weapon balancing update is now in. You may see some changes to your weapons.
  • - The playable piano's range has been lowered.
  • - The server will now restart automatically once a day. This ensures that new updates will always be in without manual developer intervention, and may increase performance rates.
  • - We have implemented a new entity-saving system. We'll leave the technical stuff out, but this will hopefully improve performance and server speeds, and decrease the chances of containers, vending machines, and workbenches vanishing. It's still being polished out with small bugs being patched, but it's an improvement.
  • - A new CP Command uniform has been added with access to the TAC-4 frequency.
  • - Clothing items now support inventory icon outlines.
More, exciting updates are in the works, big and small. Stay tuned!
