For anyone in the UK, this news has broke headlines, the Conservative Party member Sir David Amess was stabbed to death by a twenty-five-year-old man whilst doing a public service interaction at a local church. His death shows us the toxic nature of British politics and how deranged idiots can use easily available weapons (in this case a knife) to commit unspeakable acts of politically charged murder.
The attack was provoked by his affiliation with the Conservative Party, the current party in power across the country. Whilst the current government has made decisions, not within the best interest of the UK (even myself, I am not a supporter of Conservative values), I find it absolutely abhorrent that a life was taken for no other reason than the actions of a collected party. My thoughts go to Sir Amess's family and I hope proper justice is achieved.
I've made this post to shine a light on what happened and the possible motivation for the horrific event that took place today, as some people here outside of the UK may not be knowledgeable about British politics. Please do not turn this thread into a political debate as this is not a place for ideology discussion and argument.
Rest in peace Sir David Amess.
