Name: CWDT
Type: Turret
Year of Appearance/Production: 2015
Round Class (Only required if writing a about a weapon): 9x19 Parabellum Rounds
Manufacturer: Civil Workers Union | Funded by the Security Council
Summary:
< : : CIVIL WORKERS DEFENSE TURRET : : >
< : : The Civil Workers Defense Turret, or CWDT for short is a Prototype model for a simple defense turret for the CWU that will shoot anyone with illegal contraband, I.E.. Kevlar, a Gun, A Weapon so on and so forth. It currently uses 9x19 Parabellum Rounds, and has a slow fire rate. As of recent in City-XX a lot of robberies on the CWU has occurred, and Civil Protection are sometimes to busy to respond to that kind of stuff, thus the Manager requested to make a Prototype model of a new turret that will take out any threat that may be apparent.. It as of now has two variants. The CWU Version, which stays in the CWU or any area of high risk the CWU may be operating in, and the IC version. Which holds two barrels and more ammo, used to take out Headcrabs and Antlions. : : >
TEST-LOG#0023
< : : Recent tests have proved good, the Turret doesn't shoot people on sight unless holding a weapon.. But, it'll assume anyone that holds a tool of sorts is a threat thus we had to program it to allow people who have signed in to use tools without being shot, we have yet to successfully make it recognize people being attacked yet.. As for the IC model, it was near perfect. It shot headcrabs with decent accuracy and speed, and did not target Infestation Control or CWU members. When we took out its ammo and got a volunteer, it did no shoot the citizen immediately and began to do its warning as per usual.. For only about 3 seconds, before firing a them. Some fixes do need to be made, but overall it has been a success. : : >
TEST-LOG#049
< : : After recent improvements on both the CWU and IC models, they seem to work fine. They do what they are supposed to do, and thats all that matters to us. Just need to get CCA and Security Council approval on the whole thing, and maybe CWU robbery will go down. Someone suggested making one for the CMU, and even the OAA, but it was shut down rather quickly. : : >
