WAR TODAY IN BERLIN AS OUTER BERLIN DECLARES INDEPENDENCE FROM THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT

At approximately 3:30PM Union Standard Time, the Berlin Government sent a now declassified signal to a nearby relay station for emergency aid. Moments later, we received reports that the outer Berlin regions had risen up in open revolt as a response to imposed pay cuts, tax increases and further rationing introduced by Provisional Chancellor Kelvin.

The Berlin Government solemnly denies all claims of an uprising, stating that stability is better than ever before. Despite this, earlier today, leaked footage of open fighting between civilian forces and volunteer police was captured near the Brandenburg gate. Furthermore, a video was briefly uploaded to UUNET.COM before being swiftly taken down in a matter of seconds, apparently, only a few lines of footage was saved.

"My name is Hans Kerr. I represent the Anti-State Accord."

"Mein Name ist Hans Kerr. Ich vertrete das Anti-Staatsabkommen"

"We have three, simple demands. The death of Chancellor Kelvin. The disbandment of all volunteer police forces. The withdrawal of Nomad soldiers from our home."

"Wir haben drei einfache Forderungen. Der Tod von Kanzler Kelvin. Die Auflösung aller freiwilligen Polizeikräfte. Der Rückzug der Nomadensoldaten aus unserer Heimat."

"We claim responsibility for the attack on the Berliner NEXUS. We declare war on the Berlin Government, and will not lay down our arms until all three demands are met."

"Wir übernehmen die Verantwortung für den Angriff auf die Berliner Verknüpfung. Wir erklären der Berliner Regierung den Krieg und werden unsere Waffen nicht niederlegen, bis alle drei Forderungen erfüllt sind."
We reached out to Chancellor Kelvin for comment, however, he was unreachable. When spotted by another press team, he only offered a brief remark; "They're just some lousy teenagers - there's no riot - everything is fine - go back to your homes.". The press team was then allegedly fired upon by nearby volunteers.

This represents a massive escalation in tensions since Chancellor Kelvin took power last month. Thus far, Kelvin's government has reportedly been responsible for near enough 5,000 deaths, in a city of only two-hundred thousand. More will be reported upon as the situation develops.
