I recall this place vividly, the Motherland I was raised and frolicked in as a young girl, carefree, oblivious, naïve and innocent to the world. Destined for a humble purpose, to take part in feeding my country on my family's pastures, raising the cattle and other livestock I cared for dearly. Alas... Something I had no interest in, for I was destined for a greater purpose, even at such a young age.
I humbly rejected my family's ideals, to which they understood and offered no contest, blessing me with his assurances to ensure my dreams would be fulfilled. Not to just feed my countrymen and women, no. To serve them, to ensure our society was protected. A dream of mine I had since I was young. Albeit... I would have my dream fulfilled just in the way I did not envision for him to intervene in.

First it was minor things, changes in the weather, people going missing, unexplained phenomena. Was it truly time for humanity to face it's penance for the un surmounted wickedness it'd caused over the centuries? Perhaps, yet this wasn't the great reckoning he had planned for us, no... He was testing us. Like with everything, this was to be a test of my- No our faith. We endured through it all, persevering as we fought back wave after wave of his hordes. Fending them off, day by day, month by month. Our faith waned, we assumed we wouldn't survive this... Test.
We were wrong, for when we were ready to capitulate, his creations came. They poured through the great wounds in the sky, formed by his will and our rewards?
Our Ascension.

Labor or service. They offered me. They gathered my bloodline and spread us out, only maintaining my connection with one who had bought me into this earth, separating me from the one I made my vows to all those years ago. My faith still prevailing through it all. My duty was my purpose, my duty leading to my service. So I took up the mantle, becoming yet another one of the arbitrator's that patrolled our Benefactor's cities. Dispensing justice, judging lawbreakers and removing those who dared to stray from his path.
Despite it all my faith, was viewed as weakness. As if I was a liability. I explained my methods and my thoughts, my loyalty reaffirmed yet my... Performance lacking, so they sent me East. To where the Rising Sun had well and truly set. Yet another test of my faith. Vice, nepotism, sloth and ego was traded by day, gunfire and injuries by night.
Through it all I served, trading pistol fire in exchange for pulse fire, hails of our Benefactors verdicts in exchange for lacerations, abrasions and injury. Yet it was here they looked upon me, managing to manipulate their sloth in exchange for my furthered ascension. Slowly, but surely. The ladder being climbed.
Alas, it was the Genevan who sadly bought their issue with us. Resulting in their exile to a dilapidated husk, abandoned by our Benefactors.

Cast out, exiled and abandoned. They dragged their dissonance with them, to which the locals had no interest in. So they sent us across the ocean, to one of the Siberian cities that'd been left as little more than a husk. It was here where my faults would be put on full display, punishment after punishment, deduction after deduction.
And it was where my bloodline would be damaged so. The one who bought me into this world, my mother was taken from me. Done so with a flick of a wrist.
My grievances turned into anger, my anger into rage. I swore damnation and hellfire to fall upon the one who ordered such. I turned back to him for guidance yet again. And what he told me? To harness my hatred, to turn it against those who would dare to raise arms up against his light, to judge those who strayed from his path.
And so I did, my wraith being bought down to one so innocent, one so... Naïve, I nearly killed him with a single blow. I froze upon the realization and I begged for forgiveness, I begged for his recovery. To which he heard me, he returned healed but different. Yet the damage was done, the one who loved him, he attempted to strike me down. He nearly bought down a hatred that should only be reserved for those who would dare lay hand on the one you love. One that I sympathized with, my deliverance only being two of our leaders intervening.
Time passed afterwards and I watched and my heart began to ache, brothers and sisters in arms, taken from me and cut down, disposed of and replaced. All the whilst, my ascension progressed. Moved up yet again and hand-picked due to my competence. Only several days afterwards to be invited to the same table our leaders sat at and given the same authority and privileges as them few. Yet my mind began to wander again. For I noticed someone, in need of guidance.
I noticed her, green eyed and auburn hair. Someone so young yet thrusted into such importance, dedicated and entrusted with the wellbeing of the populace. She was plagued with her own issues, for someone so privileged dared to abuse what importance given to him to belittle and harass such kindness. Someone who had strayed from the path. And so I intervened, those above listening to my case presented with one of our leaders and the man she loved dearly, they listened and they thought upon it.
Sadly before their verdict, I was sent away yet again, to oversee the regions surrounding our hollow terminal.

Scattered, dashed upon the darkness of a realm between the realms. It was where I was taken to, selected by a being inexplainable to most, revered by those in science and feared by those shackled. Heathen gods and unexplainable realities lie in waiting, awaiting to be peered into at the lighting or a brazier. The first one opening into a realm in the skies, islands scattered and suspended in the air with the same Tyradinium that plagued City-8 appearing to have began here, spreading into our realm through some unknown being.
But that was not the most confusing, strange machines scattered through out the isles held the very fabric of reality together, other machines capable of preventing those falling into the abyss, bringing them right back into the plain of existence as if they'd never fell at all. But that was not the most confusing. Great tears opened with unfathomable structures pouring through. Decimating a lone ship before raining down fire on those who'd been taken, all of us scrambling and disappearing across the islands back to our point of contact, scrambling to return back to the very planet we called home.
I fear that we have encountered something far beyond what He had designed, for this place breaks every rule as set forth by His designs. And I fear that many will try to harness this place for ill. Be it those in power or the very ones who I serve to quash.

An inevitable downfall, as prophesized by some. All set in motion through whispered voices, back-alley deals, underground movements and emotions. The emotions of those downtrodden, beaten and suppressed, those emotions I helped to keep down. Those who were pushed too far in turn, pushing back harder to only in turn, turn a flickering spark into a raging wildfire, eating away across the continent.
The matter is, my position in it all. Some would see me hung for my hand in it all, others have me incarcerated for the rest of my time whilst others, would simply allow me to slink away into the unknown to leave what existence I have for myself to be carried out. Dead, incarcerated or exiled, fates reasonable by most, unwanted by some, for they view me as little more than a tricked victim, lied and deluded into believing whatever I wanted to hear.
For now, I must do what I can. Those who attempt to cling to power wish to flee north, taking those who they can, others wish to go East and some? They wish to stay. Including Her. Someone who I care deeply for and have ensured her safety where I can, albeit... Not to the best of my ability. Her friends, colleagues and the sort, all of them must endure, both for her and my sake in some vein attempt of absolvement for the acts I've done. Some vein act of goodwill that I can fall back on when I am put before him to weigh up my deeds.

(ASK TO BE ADDED)
Saintly, Pious, Devout, Blessed, Atheist, Heretical, Sinner, Demonic, Fallen
STICK-02 - The French Peddler
A double black-mark as well as a reckless nature. You peddle narcotics as well as steal the food from those serving valiantly within the Medical Union when they're not around. Continue this path of wickedness and thou shalt find nay but a grim ending. Then again, you also did show me the ropes. But you would do well to remember the commandments, for he said "Thou shalt not steal."
You have been promoted, I suppose congratulations are in order. Is what I would say if I could hold a shred of respect to you, for you are slowly slipping. You cover your tracks though sadly, that machine of narcotics having been moved or destroyed. I shall keep my eye on you, but I feel as if you'll make your way into my business for you are close with 98. Don't stray too far or you'll find yourself in an unfortunate position.
You have finally, after long last. Been put down like the feckless swine you were. Oh how you would've joyed over seeing me tarnished in the mark of incompetence. Good riddance, if it wasn't by the Ministry's hands. It would've been mine in the outpost.
UNION-1 - The Trenchcoated Veteran
Another transferee, yet a veteran it seems. i1, former MCP and Rank Leader and you even tried to retire. You've seen it all, from both the tales you share as well as the command you show in the field. What you also show however is a more dark side, for you confessed to me blatantly that you've strayed from the path, killing innocents to just send messages. Whilst it is not my call to judge you, he however is watching. I pray you don't stray too far from the path to end up an untimely demise as with guidance I feel you might be able to led back upon it.
HERO-8 - The Fortunate Soul
You, you should be dead. Yet it is not the case. For if it was not for quick thinking and cunning, you'd have been yet another one that would not be walking with us now, he will watch you. For he watches us all, perhaps that moment in the sewers, he blessed you and gave you the strength to not pass on yet.
HERO-13 - A Cautionary Tale.
Irony is something that happens to us all, be it something small, or something large. You, are the greatest example of irony. One day you're executing our own comrades without a care in the world, thinking your untouchable, the next day? You're on an operating table, lying there scared and alone whilst doctors rush around trying to help you. And in the end? It was all for naught, you deserved your end. Fitting for someone of your stature. Good riddance, and may the next one be better.
STICK-9 - The Cowboy
One of the various medical units within the precinct, you're rather... Friendly, shall I put it? Despite it all you're still competent. Just don't do anything brash, I consider you a friend and many of mine have been cut down. I'll keep my eye on you, when I can.
JURY-6 - The Wisecrack Detective
Originally part of the batch that was transferred to City-8, you and I have worked alongside each other several times. The Cross case, this moonshining business and countless other patrols, sweeps and other day to day menial jobs. You do have a mouth on you though, and one that I fear could get you into trouble if you're not careful.
Roland Hewitt - An Incompetent Leader
You were the counterpart of Thirteen, from the same hole you all came from. Industrial-24, how you're still breathing is incredible, for other units with their incompetency would've had them shot. You parade around with bravado and arrogance being your weapon, thinking you're unstoppable because you're in charge. Yet you clearly didn't heed the tale of Thirteen, did you? You'll have your time for what you've done and the way you act. Be it either internally or the lowly degenerates in the slums.
QUICK-02 - The Cavalry's Commandant
The leader of my new squad, and the co-commander I've been assigned. A certain change of pace from the usual patrolling. I shall see how this plays out. However some of the units you've provided me names I believe will not make the cut. The rest? We shall see, all in good time.
KING-707 - The Enshrouded Berserk
An envoy of the northern countries, yet maintaining a visage of stoicism and calmness when in the present of those who we uphold to protect, only letting it fall when you swear vengeance upon those who'd dare to attempt to threaten our method of existence. Yet another of His judges picked and selected to enforce His will and message upon those who'd dare stray away from the path.
STICK-307 - The Cold-Hearted Sisyphus
An enforcer under my dedicated watch and command, entrusted with the wellbeing and safety of those who are selected to serve. A duty that is all too respectable and one that I began to drifted close to. Alas, through your demeanor I can read you like nary a chapter in a book, a great weight rests upon you, a burden you alone wish to shift but continue on with every waking step you take.
I standby ready to provide reassurance and guidance, to offer confession in private and silence if you extend a branch to me for whilst I am your commander, I am also one who cares for those under my watch.
Irida Jager - The Precarious Timarete
Another unit I have taken under my wing. Someone who is dripping with potential, yet lacks the confidence in themselves. You yearn for respect & self-confidence, yet you're unsure on how to contract it.
Stay with me, dear artist. For the canvas you've began to paint your story onto, is only just beginning.
Together? We'll form a masterpiece.
Starry-eyed, determined, downtrodden and withdrawn. All stages I watched you pass through, and you sought the wonders of technology to have your emotions suppressed and memories replaced with delusion, something that I opposed but, you wanted. So I complied, giving you delusion to replace your imperfections. And well, it worked, you gained what you wanted dearly, confidence. Confidence that came all too late for the structure in which we served was promptly dashed to the side.
I shall watch over you, regardless of what action you take. To continue with the structure, or to flee from it's grasp.
We have both fled, for a lack of a better word. You managing to get out before me and well, for a lack of a better word. Scared, scared of those who you had your sights on now only to be standing next to them, your behavior erratic and impulsive. To which my own theory is developing, know that I shall help you, regardless of what happens.
PATROL-019 - The Eastern Bulwark
Akin to me, you hailed from the Eastern Lands. Steadfast, disciplined and prepared. Yet, you knew as well as me when it was ready to call our losses, yet you wish to remain. To continue your bloodline or to find what of your bloodline remains. Admirable, yet you should look to saving yourself. For a corpse cannot find what it misses.
Ludwig Jager - The Austrian Dove
A freedom fighter with a reputation to his name, yet a masquerade perfectly played for the last two decades. Fading into the background as an utter no-body, only to reveal your cards at the very end and grip the Genevan Resistance by force, taking those who would've squabbled and beginning the long march to liberation no matter the cost.
Unafraid to put those who prioritize themselves down as well as being able to root out dissent as if you'd been a so-called 'protector'.
Juniper Stenhouse-Roberts - The Former Cog In the Machine
The once grandiose Secretary-General of the Collaborator's Diet in Itabashi-Kita, now another fighter having returned to Geneva to topple those who sit in their opulent halls. Calculating, cold, yet inquisitive. Either telltale signs of a sociopath, or someone just emotionally exhausted with the world, yet determined enough to see those who collaborated hung from the highest balcony within Geneva.
Louis Carmichael - The Drugged Up Reprobate
The third Rank Leader to flee, whatever lies they told you being ripped out and your past returned and in turn? You found someone albeit she's never around when we need her. But alongside your past returning, so did your abuse of substances, clouding your judgement and warping your behavior. Still though, you know when to make the right calls... Half of the time.
Marcus Cross - The Southern Bulwark
The once Consul of I-24, now yet another freedom fighter in this great struggle. Yet, you have more than you let on, for you've seen past the great veil that only a few of us have. Traversing through the realms coming face to face with one of our so-called 'benefactors', only to assist in slaying it like yet another headcrab. Diving into ancient tombs, discussing the existence of man with an almost omnipotent orb as well as keeping the potential keys to our unravelling out of the hands of madmen and fools who lack the insight to use them.
It's imperative you make it through this ordeal, for our ventures past the veil may begin yet again.

For what twisted individual targets those who heal and tend to us? That is the question I am currently asking, you have been targeted by those who have strayed too far into sin. A ring of peddlers, murderers and foul people target you and your acquaintances and what for? Drugs? Money? For twisted and sick delight? All questions we are currently asking.
Alas, like dear Emiyo, you too have been forced to bare the mark of an outcast only being sentenced to a suicide battalion of Conscripts. Yet again picked upon someone in power to be extorted out of what little credits you have. Know that when the time does come, I shall speak on your behalf, for I have reviewed your file, a matter in which you had no say for your own safety.
Emiyo Marcum - The Unfortunate Downfall
As much as I want to help you, you push back which I cannot fault you for. You're constantly hauled off inside, interrogated and beaten over issues that potentially do not involve you. Perhaps it might be wise for you to take lessons from your associate's, and slink into the background more, lest you inevitably end up back there and you don't come back out.
Split apart, only to be reunited in a most unfortunate way. Ripped from your place of employment only to be stained as an outcast from our society and sentenced to menial labor, alongside having been hurt by someone you held akin to a sister. Know that I shall attempt to amend the bridge that has been burnt, perseverance is a long road, but most rewarding if kept to.
Eleanor Marchand - The Prioritized Duty
You are one of the individuals within the small cohort that has assembled within the clinic I have maintained my eye on and yet? I feel an unknowing force has driven me to bear a burden to keep you safe. I do not know what it was, but I must try. I've failed once before and I will not fail again. I- I cannot.
Separated, for months if not nearly a year. Sent back to your home whilst I was reassigned to toil in the snow swept wastes outlying Vladivostok. There it was I served, all the whilst being harassed and pestered by the the one who would've seen my face tarred with the mark of incompetence, yet it was not. Fending off lowly passerby's, alien incursion and pests only describable as oversized locusts, it culminated in our reunion in a situation only describable as Deja Vu. Another city left to rot which was torn asunder by our Benefactor's prized warriors, you thought of me all these months and yearned for our meeting again. Know that I will keep my eyes on you and know that His attention is on you too.
You, you have taken the option those more courageous would take. To shun our so called 'Benefactor's' and eek out your own existence with the person you hold dearly. Yet- Your heart remains open still to save those in need, your colleagues, friends and so forth. I shall stand ready, to assist in your exodus, like Moses before. Freedom shall be had.
'Tzu' - A Foreign Elder
One of the several biotics that has found themselves on our planet, yet one that has dedicated themselves to the struggle and battlefronts invisible to most, an admirable effort that I must commend you for. You have saved many lives before today, both the people I work with and those who need it most. I hope you're not cast aside or transferred out from this terminal. Many souls here need your care more than ever.
One of the chosen few, chosen to walk in-between realities. Gazing upon pretenders to His destined goal and Our Benefactors. We drifted within the cosmos, you being our messengers to beings unknown and unseen before, whilst I acted as divine protector. Shielding what harm could've came to our group, keeping the flock together whilst we roamed. Meeting two false pretenders to His title.
Shiva & Vishnu. Pretenders, the pair of them.

Nataliya Sokolova - The Caretaker

My service to my Benefactors is my eternal reward. To carry his judgement out on those who'd dare stray from his light and attempt to raise up arms against the ideal vision of humanity that he created for us all. Throughout it all, I have endured, carrying out judgement on many, both Xeno and human alike. But I am not perfect, I beg for forgiveness for my mistakes, and for those who I held closely to be at rest. Some of them, my fault. Others, I could've prevented. They shall be remembered, all of them. For candles shall be raised to honor their memory and sacrifices and their actions preached to those who seek to know.
Ascension. Our true goal as a species. To be ascended into his light, guided by Our Benefactors. I gazed unto one of the up lifters and they spoke to me. They had noticed my duty & service to Him, to which I was awarded with the most prestigious of positions of that of Leadership.
Alas, a position that has it's own hassles. An arrogant and insolent child thinks me of their subordinate still despite having done nothing but bark orders and whine as if they'd been told no with a temper tantrum to match, unlikely to have felt the stern hand of discipline across their cheek nor have they truly outshined anyone else. Such an arrogant cur would've been cut down by the Chief... To which I have been extended an audience with back within my old posting.
If you were to look at me, several titles would be thrown my way. Species-Traitor, murderer, tyrant, as well as several other similar titles. All of them marking me as some form of heathen who attempted to profit in their own way during our occupation.
But that was just a baseline, others have heralded me as a savior, wearing a mask of oppression but taking the time to show humanity within, making the choice to allow a life to continue when I held the power to end it at a moments whim if I decided. But through it all? I have committed unspeakable crimes some of them I won't ever be able to forget nor forgive myself for being complicit, if not the facilitator of said atrocities.
But for now? All I can do is simply repent, repent for my actions both past and in the future for what's to come. Whilst I am free now to live the life I wish, can I truly trust those I've taken up arms with and live side by side with? I don't know, but for now? All I can do is try.

THE FALLEN
Requiescat In Pace
HERO-3 - The Emotional Betrayed.
I have finally understood, and realized what has happened to you. Was the wraith you bore upon me justifiable? Perhaps. Yet your emotions blinded you and you have since fallen into a grave. Yet another one, executed on a whim. Perhaps in another life we might've been good friends, however in this world? This world has no time for such things as relationships. May you rest in peace, far away from this hellscape.
KING-5 - An Unforgivable Mistake.
What I did to you, I will never forgive myself for. A mercy I thought I had prepared turned into your near death. Whilst your innocent nature is something that is holding you back, the wraith I bore down on you was something I reserve for those who need to repent, I'm sorry and I cannot make it up to you no matter what I do.
STICK-4 - Taken Too Quick.
You took me under your wing in my first few days here, handing me a spare set of plates as well as tending to me following my...Incident in the slums. Nonetheless, you took me under my wing and refreshed me on the basics, codes standard protocol as well as everything a unit needs to know, I think cause of that you got me promoted so I thank you. Shame about what happened to our suits though but eh, it is what it is.
I am usually never incorrect, you however have let me down. You arrive here how many weeks late, acting a buffoon and you paid the price for it. Demoted back to i4 yet you still think this is one big game, perhaps you need to be shown that this isn't a pastime and hobby. Then again, you're from Sector-10, says everything doesn't it?
What am I doing? I feel as if the people close to me are constantly slipping away. We could've helped you but- You slipped away, too fast. Yet another one fallen from the internal strife of bickering.
VICE-8 - The Arabic Brute
An envoy of the middle east, following your own religious ideals and ideologies, despite it all you're a merciless one, nearly beating someone to death in the street yet you helped them, so perhaps you're not as bad as the others, what spoilt in their own decadent and benevolent ways. We'll see how you expand but given the way you're going I won't be surprised if you end up dead.
I have heard of your passing, executed by the hands of one of our own. Whilst I did not know you well, I will make sure you pass on peacefully. Farewell, and be at peace.
PATROL-6 - The Englishwoman
Yet another transferee from my batch, this time from the former English Isles. I've looked at your file, you're like me. Former law enforcement, continuing your career within the Civil Protection. However I've noticed how you look at me, like I'm some sort of zealot, hm. Then again, after what happened within the CZ, can't blame you.
Yet another one executed by our own, from my own YELLO batch nonetheless. You were shot for having an opinion, one that our so called "leaders" disagreed with. Whilst our interactions were brief, I enjoyed working alongside you. Yet another one I shall pray for to pass on quietly, farewell.
Sophie Purnell - A Forsaken Soul
One of the assorted black-bands residing within the Terminal. Yet one that appears to have gathered quite the notoriety, with said notoriety you have garnered the attention of some... Less than savory units, I worry for your position given your social score, which is something I will attempt to amend if possible. I hope that the clinic will not abandon you, you're a good person deep down, just dealt a poor hand.
We have reunited. At long last. To which my smile was façaded by a mask of duty and diligence. I shall keep my attention upon you, like I do for the rest of them. For know that in my own way, despite what has laid before you, you have stayed the path, remaining resilient and determined all through out.
Alas, you have finally passed on. Cut down by those who flaunted their power, trading arrogance and guile instead of dignity and respect. If, I was there, perhaps it could've been avoided. You're at rest now, but know that your story shall be carried on by my existence as well as those you held dearly.
Uwe Schulz - The Faithful Martyr
We have known each other for many months, albeit. You were a victim of circumstance and bad luck. Forced out from your positions by those who laughed and drowned in their own guile and arrogance, forced to turn to the other extreme and take up arms.
But I knew you really, a soft-spoken and kind hearted soul who tried his hardest to see the good in people no matter the circumstance, be it here, City-8 or Terminal-7. Always there and always willing to be a shoulder to cry on.
Which is why it pains me so to hear of your passing, cut down by one of those still bind enough to believe that what has happened was simply a minor insurrection, blinded by loyalty and arrogance still. Know that your name shall be remembered, one of the martyr's who gave his all to ensure others will see their tomorrow.
