Let's get the hate train rolling (I expect you all to hate this!!!). Considering we're drawing closer and closer to having more 'realism' mechanics on the server. How about having it so that when dragging someone's ragdoll you aren't able to run. Maybe even walk a bit slower than usual?

This would be pretty cool though I don't know how the devs would code it

Isnt this kind of already a thing, picking up corpses and stuff is a bit messy anyway as if you're too fast, it immediately drops the thing you're carrying.

Not sure if there has been any recent changes to it but if not then no. For a long time players have been able to run away with ease while carrying somebody. Only time the body drops is when you jump, try to go through a forcefield, or maybe use a ladder.

This would be cool if dragging bodies was actually a viable way of doing things. I can name too many occasions of the body dragging mechanic fucking people up (Ergo; Combine barricades restricting people from walking, thus they must run. Forcefields stopping kidnapping and it thus resulting in PKs.)

Absolutely agree

If there's a way to code it and distinguish between when you're carrying a body and a plastic bottle it'd be nice.

If it's not possible you'll get slowed down for everything you drag including small objects, afaik the dragging mechanic is a default Helix thing

Don't quote me on this but since some props have a weight value by default I'm sure there's ways to do it. Or just add ragdolls to a list in the code/filter for the word 'Ragdoll' etc, there's a few ways it could be done but actually writing the code is beyond me. I'm sure other devs could figure it out with no issue.

only if they let us jump with ragdolls (many have perished because of a 1ft obstacle means they have to be left behind)

It can be done. Just look at the better zipties plugin. Only problem is it occasionally gives you speedhacks too
