Whats your guys experiences/thoughts on semi serious hl2rp or hl2rp in general

Im quite new in the hl2rp bus and it might already be dying,most servers ive played on were semi serious though there were a couple of serious ones. (IX and Willard).
I searched up hl2rp and found the deep gaming server is "oooooh children likers ooooo" and i dont know whats the condition of semi right now. im also a bit interested about you guys experiences (sorry if my english is shit)

IF you like semi you might aswell play darkrp it's under the same premise of semi-serious RP anyways. Serious RP involves no mic and some actual character dev, semi-serious is more script based and constant pvp, there's not really any civis and if they are they're always trying to revolt against civpro.

To add to that, I think you can have serious RP with voice. But most servers on garrysmod that dub themselves "semi" serious aren't serious at all

Yes, stuff like RDR2 is good for this, and obviously the whitelist gta servers, but GMod is a little lacking in that regard.

Pretty simply put it's all just dark RP with a HL2 paint and some more grindy aspects then money printers. I played on that late at night and it was okay, but a major issue is that the Cps on there want it to be more serious then it really is. It's kinda just rebels vs combine in the city.

ive had SOME rp in semi serious servers, vanilla and landis. but its always during when the server is a bit dead
