"Hi, Mark. I came as fast as I could, I got the report file and the financial accounts. It's safe to say that the Worker's Union is doing well in this city, we've seen an actual net growth -- Who woulda thunk it?"

"Yes... Interesting. Well done, Jesse. You're obviously an asset to the Union, but this... This makes it harder for me to say..."

"... Say what? Mark, you should be happy. Darn it, we've made bank. I thought, wait, what... What're you tryin' to say?"

"I'm sorry Jesse, but you're being laid off -- Now, wait. I understand that you're upset, I am too but my boss has decided to make some cuts. You will get a severance package but you need to leave the city - There isn't much work around here --"

"Good evening, would you two like to order anything?"

"No, sweet heart, I gots to go... I'm sorry Jesse, I hope you'll be able to find something - I'm sure you will, and, uh... Be sure to leave your stuff my office."

Jesse sighs, holding back tears and looks at the colleague leaving and then to the waitress "A soda and a chicken burger, extra chipotle..."

Jesse sat there in the near empty diner of City 1, contemplating her life but there's a twinkle in her eye. An idea to both get her out of the city and land in a job while also, hopefully benefitting her family which she loves truly. She takes her mind back to the many adverts strewn about the city, she's gonna take that ticket.

I have been here for around three to four days in total, it has been rough... Punishment after punishment, it's been grueling, I'm beyond belief but I kept my positivity and remembered my time in the LDS

Ephesians 4:26-27: "In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are angry, and do not give the devil a foothold."

It is very important to keep my cool, my head and my bounce... Cool blues and smooth blues, that's it. With that I've scraped myself back above the deficit and defeated the looming dread over my head, for which I'm glad - For the faith will keep me.

injury.jpg
Today, I and along with my fellow cohorts have saved a life of an injured one. My heart sank, my stomach churned at the sight of the blood but I pushed through as someone in need was on the very knife edge of life and death... We did it, we saved him and his leg! He shall walk again and carry on his life, the sight of his face and smile was enough of a reward today, we've been truly blessed.
Proverbs 24:11: "Rescue those being lead away by death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter."

Though, I wasn't prepared for a darkness later on in the night..

life taken.jpg
I had taken a life of a person, never had I felt such sickness and fatigue from the bloodshed - I had killed one of God's creations, in his image. He will never forgive me for what I have done, especially as the man had a sickness of the head. I'd never forgive myself. I still remember the crunches and sounds from the baton hitting him, it echoes in my mind...

I don't cuss and I don't cry, I'm just glad that cows can't fly.

As if this place couldn't get any worse, we have a murderer on the loose. Either a cult, gang related, loan sharks or some deranged psychopath. It is demonic and I don't think this will bode well for everyone involved... More people will die, the news will spread and a storm of anger will erupt sooner or later. This is something like out of the old 'Friday the 13th' films, an altar comprised of dead body parts, especially the head and the heart. This must hold some symbolism and is apparently connected with a previous case. I talked to a JURY unit about this, a lot things on the table. We will have to keep an eye out and work to put an end to this perversion.

God, what has happened to us?

The days turn into weeks now, a lot has happened. Murder mystery upon murder mystery, which all stinks to high Heaven. To see their lifeless eyes haunt me greatly, I can smell the stench of death through my mask but my stomach holds up and my heart hardens at each passing corpse. There are too many questions and no answers. We must get through this mess otherwise it will all go to heck... This case is very deep and it does not look good for certain people, especially those holding power within the city. There must be a way, there must be and there will be. I keep my faith in God and his angels, for now I need his guidance and help. Forever have I been faithful and loyal, unwavering even.

Among the nagging and persistence of STICK-7, my superior, I have taken a partner. Increased rewards and share the punishment, apparently to help out with things in this city, keep my guy alive. A spur of the moment thing, due to the nagging but I think I've chosen well, I hope at least but this is deviating from the real issues that plague us and the city.

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13.

Day by day I get disillusioned with the civil protection and the union, by the actions and consequences. There's seemingly no winning, you're either left alone or just simple punished for someone else's mistake or a fault of command - Even when a mission is successful, a mission of no losses in unknown territory? Sure, dream on. There is no such thing as victory in the civil protection it seems, chewed out by the people who don't bother come out and fight along side us. What can you do? Nothing, exactly but I feel the tension in the air, it's so thick you can cut it with a butter knife - People are sick and tired of this command, I can't say I blame them and once the day comes, I won't bother help out the superiors, they decided to step in the shit. They have too much mustard if you ask me with very little to show for it.
The murder case has all been dropped, suspected suicide which I call BS on. One witness which the the big players believe - I had to shoot and kill. I do not believe it, the real ten-cent men see no problem with it all. This I find suspicious but I can't die standing up with this, it's too deep. Varmints run the barn here now and I must soon repent for the sins of murder and harm I've caused, my heart goes out to the fellow Christian whom I've shot like a lame animal. I think of the blood and his face every night, the two people I've killed stand there at the foot of my bed, watching me. The guilt is simply too much to bear but I must go on and grit my teeth, to survive. Urski Smirnov was his name and his broken cross I now possess.

I'm sorry...
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Another day, another dollar. They say that to cope with the fact that life is shit and someday it will pay off. They are right it will pay off; Someday, somehow... There are good moments here but are often ruined by the bad ones, loss of an eye for a promotion sounds good but it doesn't help that the devil's hugging my boots to demote me or get me into trouble over trivial shit. I'm sick to death of it, there's something that needs to change soon as some people are losing the script and acting wrongfully. I have to walk down the street with eyes in the back of my head, not only from the terrorists but mostly from other units, nobody is my friend here - The other units are traitors, wolves and varmints, can't be trusted. I need to be careful and be more lone-ful to survive this long road, try and make it home.

I'm pissed at the world but I'm not looking for trouble, other people causing me problems for no good reason. This place has made me physically ugly but what's more worrying is that my own soul and mind is becoming ugly, getting more meaner and angry at the people who don't deserve it. The people and place grind you down into hostile husk, they're winning on that front but I won't break, they will not win this war. It's all a test from God, I have broken some of the laws of the all-mighty... I feel nothing much shame, anger and contempt with most of the people around me.

@Tsunami
You know... At first, you punish all of us for having no equipment while there's logistical issues, you beat one of your cohorts out of the blue for said issue and prepare a speech about how crap we are. Personally I think you are a jackass, but I forgive you. It is not in me to hate or hold grudges, though I have to admit there are a lot of things which you are right about and actually give good advice on but it's a shame that you made that one big mistake. To error is human and we're all not perfect.

Matthew 6:14-15: "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

At first, I thought you was wrong and heavy handed but it turns out you were right all along. You've taught me the necessities here, just realizing... Even behind your tough exterior there's a softness under it, all most human. You're a good cop.

@BantaMan2015
JURY-6... He's one of the few units around here that you can actually have a chat and a laugh with. Everyone's willing to sell you out or beat you. Other than that, he seems to be a fellow officer with his head screwed on and actually wants to fight the crime within the city rather than beat the snot out of his fellow cohorts. I have my respect for him, especially after seeing into his work and dedication to it. I look forward to patrolling with you again, partner. I hope you crack this case and nail this guy's or girl's balls to the wall for what they did - I know you can do it!

We're partners now, you can't make this up. It's like something out of a detective film or even a western, even having the same motif of cracking cases and solving crimes, though I doubt we will get any glory at the end of it. It looks bleak but I am hopeful, knowledgeable that we will get along greatly. He has a good head on his shoulders to which I respect greatly. Good things will come of this, I am sure of it.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11.

I've recently talked to JURY-6, talked about retiring soon and he's all for it. He can't help but nudge me to do it due to the dangers that lurk here. I finally got to the point and I fumbled the ball, I've done nothing but disappoint and most likely upset him but this is salvageable and I'll keep up with my promise. He's my friend and I hurt him.

@Cjtn10
Oh yeah, Five... That Russian, no wait, that Ukrainian chick. She's really nice, and quiet but been in the force for a long while, possibly when I was still a kid. I can tell that it has changed her, everything really but I like her a lot. We near enough always patrol with each other and is a very capable officer, got a lot of respect for her and definitely don't want to get into a fight with her. Kicked me so hard in the stomach and back that I couldn't break, left a nasty bruise too during hand to hand training. I look forward to going on patrol with her again, she's a blast.

I haven't been able to talk to her much but what I've seen from her is that she's Rank Leader material and I'm often over the moon when she's in my PT or around me. She does comfort me a fair bit too, though the more I spend time with her, the more questions that burn in my head and tongue but what questions? Even I do not know... But I ask this: Why did you order me to shoot a blank at your foot?

@AshTronaut
Another number five unit, this time from KING. He's an Italian officer, a little small and kinda... Feminine? I guess? He's cute and quite precious. How anyone that innocent gets in civil protection stumps me but other than that he's actually capable and is seemingly getting far. I like him, he's nice and good - What is there to hate or dislike? I look forward to serving with him some more in the future, he's a good kid. Oh yeah, he hasn't tried pizza, I gotta get him some or make some for him at some point.

After getting to know him, he's a great kid. 'Kid', I say, he's only a few years younger than me. He told me about his past, my heart truly melts... It melted before, for him but now? Even more, he's too sweet and innocent. I feel there's something more I feel towards him but I can't ever explain it, not to myself or to him... I've felt it before but never gave it time to consider nor acknowledged it. I often think of his face, especially seeing it for the first time... Something's there...

It has been a while since I talked to five, he went on to become an i2. I still really like him but we've grown a bit distant and I can't help but feel that he's not reciprocating how I feel about him. Well, I ain't been honest and open about it to him but I feel that I'm not his type anyway and that's fair enough but I'm glad to see that he's doing well and I am truly happy for him.

@JustDanny
You was there at that assault and got promoted after it. You chewed us out with 02 for the losses of two rank leads and a YELLO trooper. I have very little to say to you...

@Purple Knight
You're the new one that came into the force and an even newer addition to STICK. You're kinda like me: tall, nice and a wobblin' jaw but what I really appreciate about you is that you're human in your ways and it's really sweet though I'd implore her not to try it with STICK-8 but I don't think there's changing her mind, I really wish her for the best with both her love life and career.

I've seen you've went into the quick squad, and so early into your career too. Some high ups must have an eye on you - Though I haven't seen much of you recently... We should catch up some day.

@albertossic
I'm not sure what's happened, what's got into you or who hurt you but you've changed. You punish me for following dispatch's orders, not following your orders while I was tangling with a necrotic then you want me to do some bullshit in the CMU which doesn't need or warrant involvement with a STICK unit... In those short few hours you've caused nothing but headache for me but you've taught me a few valuable lessons: You've taught me to not trust any other fucking units here, you've taught me to stand up for myself and you've taught me to be angry. Thank you. I will see you from time to time and still crack a grin but I'm not looking to hug you.

@MrMindBlow
What can I say about Noah Majors?... He's one of the guys that I had to escort around that murder scare, keeping him safe until the murderer got killed by one of my PT partners. He seems like an all right guy, friendly when having a talk with him and has some good wit about him. He tried paying me and another cohort for protecting him, that was very sweet of him but I had to decline it, out of morality and saving face. I see him about time to time but I don't have time to chat, neither does he. I wish him well.

@Wraygun
A needlessly cruel man amongst his own men and women, a treacherous bastard that's out for the blood of his own. A man who is a danger to morale and socio-stability, it will bite him in the ass one day. It nearly did, though he is most likely a product of trauma and the advent of the utterly disastrous quotas set up in front of us. Deep down there is a good officer but he's buried beneath all the dregs and shit of sin, greed, cowardice and degenerate tendencies. I cannot look the man in the eyes, nor can I find any clause for redemption or forgiveness. It is not in my nature to hate but he brings he stretches my limits of good faith in people. It will all come crashing down - Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, ashes to ashes and dust to dust. May God forgive you.

@Marco
The man cannot catch a break, a soul of misfortune within the force. It is like an accident that's happening in slow motion, it hurts seeing it, one of my men getting blackmarked over a quota of all things by that walking degenerate JURY-02. He won't leave you alone and I don't have the strength in rank nor mentally to tackle this beast. I'm sorry, I'm supposed to take care of my men and lead them diligently and safely as possible but I've failed. One day it will bite the bastards, one day. Things need to change.

You seen to get in t trouble a lot, from what understanding I can get it's with women. - It's very little to my understanding but I want to help you, I will help you but so long as you are willing to help yourself.

@Labmann
A troubled man mixed with police grade equipment and weaponry is a recipe for disaster... Something has happened to you either in your past, in memory replacement or service but it doesn't give you the right nor excuse to act like you do to the civilians and your fellow officers. I don't hate you as a person, I hate the way you go about this schtick - I'd like to help you overcome that problem, I see potential in you as a person and an officer... Only time will tell.

Nine sat there in the spartan barracks, wearing her comfortable clothes, a fellow officer comes up and sits next to her and starts a conversation. She looks upon him, her face more soured from her usual joyous self.

"So, nine... How's it going? Heard you've been having some trouble. What's up?"

"It's uh, rough man. I can't seem to catch a break but I got there in the end - I'm out of the woods and kept the faith in myself."
"That sorta shit happens out here. The leaders - Anyone above i3 don't have our backs much. I don't know if they're that blood thirsty or just frustrated. You'll get over it, you've done this. You'll have no problem facing the storms ahead of us."

Nine nodded, rubbing her arm as she spoke again.
"I'll take your word for it, nothin' seems right... I won't be holdin' anythin' against them. I just pity them more than anythin', I hope I get harder battles in the future. I can finally grow more as a person, hopefully make it to the other side without fire and brimstone.
"Eeeh, don't be talking like that. They're not keen on the religious stuff. Like I said, you'll be fine. Keep your head up like you all ways do and keep that positivity up -- We need more of that around here, sadly. Don't let it die... Anyway kiddo, get some sleep."

The cohort stood up and ruffled a hand through nine's hair before heading off elsewhere. She decides to take the advice and turn in for the night; A night that will be long and taxing on the mind, everything racing through her head, especially recent events. It begins to spawn nightmares.

Damn I give one spanking and I'm the devil... sheeesh. Suck it up ya bunch of cry babies. If you think that's bad wait till you see what's coming next.

Also: I'm confused as to why I'm being placed as having beat you for "Not having equipment." You guys got in trouble for having TOO MUCH high priority equipment. Make it make sense.
