Chaos Theory feedback

From the perspective of a helper it was a nice event. The only things I did not like were technical issues (but that is because not every addon is perfect and can be blended into the willard stuff), and some players just running around as soon as the path opens.

It was alright.

Would have preferred more passive rp at the start. Bit of time to get to know the cast and build some vague form of connection while also getting a feel for your own character.

Actually navigating through the facility was pretty confusing since there was usually not a wholly clear path, made even worst by the fact most people were just full sprinting it from one end of the facility to the other, so rather then being able to take the time to react to the whole ordeal I have to play a game of catch-up so I don't get lost and left behind. Most of the event was spent holding w rather then actually rping. Not really the event runners fault but it kind of brings down the experience.

I think the stealth part was interesting, but should have probably been better communicated beyond us being directly told we couldn't just shoot. Should have stripped the guards of their guns, and if that isn't enough of an indication to be stealthy then I dunno what will be. I'm also not sure how we got stuck outside the map bounds; shouldn't of happened, and the fact that trying to then leave this place we weren't supposed to get stuck in to begin with resulted in us just getting hit scanned by NPCs was a huge matter of mixed messaging. I'm gay. On top of it also being pitch dark.

Big finale: I crashed. It was probably cool. But the time between me crashing and the map change for the epilogue was also very short. Can't imagine it was much of a shootout.

Epilogue: Cool IG. Cops could've probably used a bit more screen time. Slightly peeved that they hesitated on shooting me, only to fill me with lead the second I start typing -- would've been nice to react to my last family member getting gunned down before I too follow in their footsteps. Think the gap of ten years is also a bit jarring. Why keep them alive this long if they're just going to be killed to get rid of witnesses. Ten years is a lot of time to blabber to the entire civic populace. Kind of confusing. Could have had it where maybe rather then hanging out in an apartment we've been prisoners under the Combine forced to work, and after years of doing whatever are finally liquidated for one reason or another.

I don't know who's the bird. It's probably Lying. Stop. Not funny. Not endearing. Very distracting, very immersion-breaking. You guys can go invisible, you don't need to be a bird to spectacle, it's the worst way to do so.

I'm pretty sure at least like 2-3 players did not make a single /me beyond three words. And even then it was probably only one or two /me's.

I don't necessarily have any specific suggestions on where improvements could be made other then just slowing things down. Having the RP be more centered around characters actually interacting with one another rather then just Hurry evacuate Get out !!! Also vet people more or something IDK. I dunno how some of these guys write out these applications and then barely RP. It's impressive to some degree.

I look forwards to Vault 127 sequel.

I will be representing Alessio when he goes to court to battle the allegations.

I don't know what it is about these events that keep timing me out. That, the aforementioned pacing issues caused by everyone running all over, not that many interactables, and people suddenly disappearing are criticisms, but I did like the setting, the GM replies, the staff being attentive, the opportunity to see some unique things like the random vortigaunt and the red skull (not sure what that was about, still), and the roleplaying that actually did happen. I will say the most puzzling thing was seeing the guards automatically go for the offered HEV suits instead of the scientists actually qualified to operate them because at least some of them were worried about OOC HP S2K stuff. That part was definitely some of the most absurd stuff I've seen and I'm not so sure that paid off.

I totally missed out on the epilogue so no feedback there. I liked the event, but technical issues and player issues tend to plague these.
