THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS AND INVOLVED STAFF MEMBERS!

PLEASE LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK FOR @MrTuki and @MrMindBlow ON HOW YOU FELT ABOUT THE EVENT, WHAT YOU LIKED AND DID NOT LIKE AND WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER!

If you have nothing to say that is fine too! We hope all the participants had fun and we look forward to hosting another expedition!

If you have pictures or videos to share, feel free to send them here too!

Great expo!
The atmosphere was great, the ambush part was executed about as well as can be considering the explosive needed GM intervention.
The helicopter was a big threat, and getting shot at by OTA from the edge of the smoke made it so even in the bunker I had to keep my head down to not get laserbeamed.

For an ambush expo mission, yeah, obviously it isn't going to be up there with the greatest, but for what it was, well executed.

I enjoyed the expedition. Most S2K-focused events don't actually provide a challenge for the participants, but this one did. A bit more pre-S2K roleplay, and post-S2K roleplay could have been fun for the rising action and falling action, but it was not advertised like that so I can't complain.

I didn't go for the money, given that I took zero items and donated my chips to other people there, I just wanted the combat. I can't help but feel there could have been a little more challenge from the OTA side, like an EOW instead of an OSL - but the OWF Leads picked the response, not the Expo Hosts.

I wanted to see more death, but I don't know how I would have personally gone about that without deviating from the response team chosen by the OWF Leads.

Good:
- S2K expo, we need more of these from time to time
- Enjoyable gunplay for what it was worth
- Good map choice, could have been more out of it.

Bad:
- Our only advantage was delayed until half of us were already down
- Could have had more to balance the scale to our favours
- Terrain was hard to climb, hard to take advantage

The entire response was done by astro (Same OTA lead that left literally the day before the expo happened).

It was sort of the idea.

This took long because I was yelling at TRL (your pilot) to use the LVS one but he ended up going for the pill, bit of misscomunication there... Classic willard.

I will say in short!
Expo was nice, I'm not complaining so much, actions outside of the main game are always better!
It's just a pity that it was so short, I was waiting with excitement for those 2 weeks. I barely shot/died and the expo was over.
I also expected there will be a counter-attack like for this difficulty level, for example, a dropship will soon arrive with OTA unit.

Such honest 7/10 8/10

Loved the expo. Both sides were practically balanced to one another and the chopper was an enormous threat. Even in the bunker up on the hill we had to keep our heads down or risk getting beamed by OTA or the heli. Of course it'll never be perfect, especially in S2K

I realised how plop the Leopold scope is I enjoyed seeing the atomic structure of vortigaunt eyes :)

Expo was good, Everyone played their part and while yes some aspects could have been better (chopper not arriving until half the OTA were already dead 🧌) it was designed to be an easy ambush from the rebels and they got a fair fight out of it despite the odds

Rest in peace basileus. Bro died for a crate of wood 😭 hopefully OTA found it enjoyable as well. Fucking laserbeam ar2s are scary

I played OTA.

My only complaint was the APCs being frozen. We could have driven them backwards, turned them sideways for more *mobile* cover.

Tuki raised a point about the barricades, however, these barricades would have been useless due to the high-ground advantage held by the rebels/vorts.

This isn't necessarily the fault of the GMs, but I think OTA rushing up the hill 1 by 1 and getting picked off massively degraded the event. I was under the impression we would have to storm the convoy and clear them out of the river bed / buildings / cave, but instead they came up one at a time (only once did I see 2 on my screen) and got slaughtered by 3-4 rebels at a time.

With the amount of loot involved I also think there should've been a reinforcement wave or an ambush on the way back to the end of the event. Felt very easy.

The OTA were able to do their own strategy, they could have done better, maybe. But they decided to follow their own plan, that was the player's fault if anything.

Respectfully, it was either hunker down in an already shitty position. In which rebels can easily win us out in a battle of attrition, or at least gamble a charge towards them.

We were dead either way, one of our strategies actually involved moving the APCs to a better position. Though you denied us this by freezing them. APCs would have been pivotal but we were forced to make do with a gas station that can just have grenades be lobbed inside, and half a hill to cover us from one side but not the other.

Our means of executing an effective strategy, that being a hunter chopper which would have pulled attention from us, came in half-way where half us were already dead. We were dealt a bad hand- and so the options were limited.

The APCs were frozen and made unbreakable at the fear of them literally being exploded because, haha fucking janky source vehicles. In that end, my bad. You could have done a ticket to unfreeze them and I would have probably taken it at the moment. (Again, I was a single GM overseeing a bunch of shit from both sides it wasn't exactly easy.)

In terms of the chopper, I can't say anything there, it was SUPPOSED to arrive with you all to the valley but the person piloting it was kind of... struggling.
