How long is the ban for?: 1 year? (not really clear)
The reason you were banned?: Appearent Powergaming and harrasment i was sent no proof simply told.
Why do you wish to be unbanned?: This is about the mega event that took place, i wanna be unbanned cause we were told in the very beginning that we can act rude and be sorry the wording "assholes" towards civilians as CP's, i assume the powergaming was about the Amputation that happened, i was told by multiple liasions and a higher up i think it was 999 some i1 i dont truly remember, but basically i knocked him out, brought him to the cells, i made SURE to ask for permission to amputate, the i1 gave permission, and that's it, and the harrassment? we were literally told my admins we can be rude, just not full on harrassment, the worst i did was insult people, call places shit holes, and had a fight (no actual physical violance just words) between C1 cops (me) and C24 cops, never once was i truly harrassing anyone.
Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: i do not have any kind of proof at this time, if i can manage to grab any evidence by the time this gets checked i will post it here, but you can ask most of the CP's who were there at day 1 of the mega event, we were told by admins we can be rude.

Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: i1-999 (i think, they were there who told us to amputate)

Hiya,

I'll clear up some parts and give my input since I am directly involved in this. Please don't kill me for replying here! As Azure said, the event took place during the mega-event. I can't honestly say what they are talking about the harrassment, others will need to clear that up but I can give accurate context for the amputation.

Evidence:
Here is the exact screenshot from the moment it occurred.
The civilian in question was certainly causing disruption and I made a remark of "If he's asking for it, so be it.". Rather than being a formal go-ahead, I was using it as a verbal cue and was going to carry on with proper roleplay such as preforming before they seeminly just mag-dumped the civilian.


Following the civil protection guidelines, amputations "must be performed behind closed doors in the Nexus or in a desolate environment and not in the blatant public.”. This situation took place in that visible jail cell and in the presence of a civlian within the civil combine administration. This isn't nitpicking, but I am rather giving an explanation on why I didn't give permission to amputate. As an i1 I know to follow these guidelines and have others do the same but I wasn't even given the chance to roleplay these actions out before the sudden death.

Rule Violation

2.0 - Powergame & Fairplay
-- The act of forcing an action onto a Character without the consent of the other involved player. This means forcing an action onto via a /it, /me or anything else is Powergame.
---- It can also be called Powergame when you perform an act not possible in real life.
----- You should always roleplay an action that another player could realistically act upon or notice (e.g stealing something during a search)
------ Even if the person has agreed to a /charsearch, you must still appropriately /me attempting to take away items from their inventory.
------ Looting downed characters during an active firefight is considered Fail-RP and a form of Powergame.
-------- A roll to determine the success of your action must be performed after doing the /me or in response to the other side's roll.

They fired upon a restrained and contained civlian with zero roleplay buildup, no /its', /me's or even speaking. Myself and others have repeatedly reminded civil protection players to use /me's and follow due process, especially with amputations such as these so they are satisfying ends for characters.

Third Strike
As far as I am aware, this is the third instance of power-gaming from this individual with the second time during an expo when playing a CivPro unit. But others will be able to speak on this.

The player in question acted prematurely, broke powergaming rules, and ignored proper amputation protocol (but this is moreso an IC issue rather than OOC!). While the faction does allow CivPro to be rude and harsh IC (We're literally the vilians), there’s a massive difference between edgy RP and skipping roleplay for executions.
I am only commenting on this scenario since I was directly named and witnessed the violation.

Not replying to the message genny sent but i want to add, i was never informed of any mistakes i made nor was i ever informed of any kind of strikes, i was never even ALLOWED to have my chances to change my actions, no one ever told me i did something wrong, never was i warned for any strikes never even once was i informed i did something wrong, MAYBE if i was told i did something wrong MAYBE then i would've been able to have changed my ways.

to add to this, i was a RECRUIT, aren't recruits suppose to be INFORMED about things? shouldn't they be made AWARE of mistakes? yes for the event i was a i5, but that was for the EVENT.
