What's your personal take on the great market crash on Counter-Strike 2? Several items are now much more expensive, or cheaper. Do you reckon this is for the better, or for the worse?

Several Chinese and other people have started killing themselves, they put an insane amount of money into it.

It's sad, inevitable but very, very sad. I feel bad for the people and I don't understand why valve would do this out of the blue

It's sad to see that happen, honestly. Over $1,000,000,000 in CS2 skins was lost from the market crash. To put it into perspective, that's almost the cost of the Burj Khalifa ($1,500,000,000). On the bright side, for a moment, you didn't have to spend car money just to buy a knife or gloves.

I think for a game like CS where there's been years of market development, hitting the reset button on prices is fucking over more people than it is helping, the CS community really hasn't changed much over the years, the game was a closed loop for so long.

I think it's a mistake on valve's end, honestly. They were legit making so much money on gambling n whatnot (which supported pro teams for years), prices of reds might go up but knives and gloves lost their status, which probably were the big moneymakers because of how hard people worked for them (or swiped for them)

Glorious brother Gabe has brought the proletariat class financial relief by bringing down the bourgeoisie iron grip on gold knives

I watched an 80$ skin (character skin) become 20$ in the blink of an eye, but considering I spent only 20$ on the Shattered Web battle pass years ago, I'm still in a big profit. Not that it matters to me since I just like having the big stuff in my inv and not selling it.
