My PK Appeal Denial.

Why were these aspects highlighted for my PK Appeal denial; when... they all act in favour for my characters survival?

I was not given a chance to roleplay; I was shot while typing, with a copy-pasted /me execution.

I do not think this PK is correct, nor the verdict justified. Hence, I am making a complaint thread.

Well, I was planning on saying this, but even more now since it was mentioned

Yes we did arrest him, since he was wearing the exact same gear as Doctor, and was to sit in a cell, until further confirmation could be acquired, but during the arrest he felt that powergaming was happening and wanted an admin to come look at it, and after some time of no response, he said he had to go and we agreed that it was but that he would be in a cell UNLESS it was voided over him altering his appearance enough, he logged off outside the cell, rather quickly kind of annoying considering it would take like 10 seconds to go into the cell

So he was meant to sit in a cell, but then he later joined again, and due to changing of the guard, he logs on, and claims he was not in a cell and therefor had been simply detained over confusion

so in my opinion he should not even have been walking free, as I believe while we were fine with him leaving, he broke the agreement that HE proposed, and therefor LTARP

I didn't care at the time, since I was dealing with a bunch of shit, and well had moved past my role
 
This entire ordeal just reeks of bad faith.

Shooting someone mid-typing without prior hostile action = direct rule violation

Execution performed *supposedly under fire* and with medical help seconds away = impossible to roleplay properly

Use of a suspiciously fast (almost certainly pre-written) /me = violates the explicit "no rushed or lazy /me's" in bleedout protection

Mind you Ahab's /me only appeared four to seven seconds after Irida being downed. If anyone were to write that in that span of time, then they'd be writing around twice as fast as the world record holder, Helena Matoušková at around 955 CPM.

Immediate admin slay before any medical RP = bypasses the 5-minute bleedout grace period (obviously a consequence of abovementioned violation)

Staff denial containing a provably false statement ("isolated from medical aid")

Even the existence of a PK authorization from RAD-X does not override these rules. The PK policy couldn't be more clear on the fact, that a PK auth only allows you to attempt a PK, it does not give blanket immunity from FailRP, powergaming, or bleedout protection rules.

She wasn't isolated lmao. You shot her in the main cargo hanger with 3 others 3m away from you another 2 that was standing beside. You also had around 3-5 within 10m besides the one already mentioned. This is just a straight up lie. You walked up in a busy hangar sprayed them down mid talks and pasted a lazy /me.

Does it always have to be rebel players? Can't they keep it in their pants for one goddamn second? I seriously don't get how anyone finds this fun or appealing. They go cross-eyed and froth at the mouth at the thought of getting another PK on their scoreboard. 2 years of character developed wasted so you can get a sick clip for your MLG montage. Just ban these people already. I beg!

This actually isn't true. You're talking about CPM not WPM lol. Ad hominem.

Helena sits at 955~ CPM, Ahab's /me would be at least 1700 CPM. I never mentioned anything about WPM.

It doesn't help when we're talking WPM. E.g. 37 / 7s * 60 = 317~ WPM

it's being dealt with my slime, don't worry. Sorry for the trouble. I've been concentrating on V3 so haven't been fully involved but now sorting it with Reece

@Marco , back again.

You and others most likely already saw the PK Appeal and it was annoncened on the underground discord as well but I will write something here so this complaint can be laid to rest. I looked at the comments and usually this is for the mods to deal with but I will try my best to answer :)

The first denial was made on incomplete context and that is our mistake. I will say again but myself and Reece apologise, especially for the confusion as we ourselves were also confused. As everyone else had said in this thread and rightfully so, just because we are at the end of this iteration does not mean that roleplay can devolve but there is confusion about because of the uhhh- quickly ending story.

If you guys have changes you'd like to see for V3 PK rules I will make a discussion thread so we can hear your ideas. We wanted to do a google form thingy but usually people ignore them 😭.

Once again, I am sorry for all of the trouble that this has caused. If there is anything myself or Reece can do, please let us know!

Idk it feels like twice now ive heard that the guys doing the Pk Appeals were confused about some of the matters that we're broucht up after the verdict was already decided like with this pk appeal and the one involving the Front base raid where Orlok did not know if Crime timer was active or not. Like as far as I know I don't think there is any deadline for you to come to a verdict so if you are not sure about things ask more questions to clear the confussion up rather then rushing the decision to accept or deny it.

Couldn't even play the last day btw; the PK should've never gone through in the first place, let alone the /slay.

Whoever ran that /slay command needs to have their critcial thinking skills vetted, and, in my humble opinion, set to a position where they can never, in any situation, run a /slay command.
