in the same way the lobotomy did. The lobotomy technically removes the mental illness one has because the victim will no longer have the capacity to think. (don't quote me on that, i just needed an example)

This isn't going to be the most formal complaint post, but I'm angry.

The starboard ban, by raising the amount of stars needed to get a post, removed all possibility of starbait as we call it. The bad news is that we haven't had a single new starboard post in three months and three days since the time of this post. Good news is we haven't had any starbait. Yay.

I'm mad, I want to see what the community has to offer. According to the law of Willard, anyone who posts starbait will be "investigated and punished accordingly" Lucky for the moderators, they get to sit back and not moderate the starboard because there haven't been any stars in three months.

And... Unfortunately, the infamous gay and Asian post would make the current and exceed current starboard expectations.

Here is the most recent starboard post. I've seen higher quality things with lower star amounts in the media channels before. No hate to Czesui, I just needed an example for this. However, they would have enough stars to make it onto the starboard if the stars needed was lowered.

In conclusion, lower the star amount to three again, personally I'd take five. The policy is annoying and pointless, I want to see all the wonderful things that the players make, if they make starbait, warn them or whatever the appropriate punishment may be.

Also, to all who don't want a starboard at all:

The starboard is fun to put effort-filled creations, or silly source shenanigans on a pedestal, but the server's been down so not much content can really be found for it. Dunno what current starboard requirement is, but five stars sounds reasonable. Seems way to serious for something not that important.

The starboard bait fiasco has been finished for months now. Starboard must be reopened. LET THE FREE FLOW OF GOODS AND COMMERCE BEGIN AGAIN

But I do hate fun and players.

In any case the server has been down for a long time. Check the number of posts in November and December for more accurate statistics. If you really want to boost the numbers up then the requirement can be lowered to eight or something, but the chance of getting anything up there until V3 launches is pretty low.

As for the whole moderation thing, I heavily disagree. It'd be silly matter, mostly subjective, and no doubt a general time waste. The last thing I'd want if I was an admin is to also be a reddit moderator, or for someone to get "punished accordingly" for sharing a screenshot of someone saying dumb stuff in-game.

The starboard should be removed entirely so we can be rid of this pestilence and hasten our return once more to the glory days of old where man roleplays not for cheap laughs but engaging story and character exploration. The board has only ever served to highlight moments that we ought shake our heads disapprovingly at before moving on to the next sensorial distraction in our day-to-day.

Total starboard death.

I gotta agree with fam on this one. The required stars for starboard posting now is way too high and strict.
While I agree with the initial incentive, it's been a while and I think personal punishments for the starboard baiters should be been sufficient enough.
