Hi, last night some random blue suit decided to go '/me breaks vent', called an admin, and broke into the vent at the back of the Sunrise. This was pretty annoying because a random citizen with no good reason or IC knowledge just decided to get inside our secret stache which we had been promised over and over again wouldn't just be metagamed in the first week, but here we are. The staff member who responded to the @ then decided not to open the one-way vent but to delete the entire vent from the map (which is impossible to undo without a restart and fucks up the textures of the map until a restart is done). This meant that even after fixing the vent and getting a prop, the admin dsconnected, the prop was deleted and people were just able to get in all night.
I thought the idea behind having secret staches and areas was that they're meant to be secret, and just because you've flown around on singleplayer doesn't mean you get to just /me gets into the vent. Imagine if any secret area on any other map got accessed by a random blue suit because they did a single /me. Why even have a one-way vent system at that point? Totally pointless.
The main point is even if you're going to have this kind of system where people just break into secret areas with no requirement or consequence, don't irreversibly delete the door please it fucks up the server because of the missing area of the map and can't be fixed by an admin until the server restarts.
edit: a sidenote of something else that happened that was inappropriate, an admin oversaw and allowed a raid of the Sunrise while the owner wasn't online which is strictly against the rules, thankfully eventually because the person doing the raid was such a minge and did a single /me they ended up being stopped. But both of the computers were deleted in a raid that shouldn't have happened and all of the notes and people that were signed up are gone, again because an admin jumped the gun and made an irreversible change. The vent thing I have no idea if it's against the rules, I hope it is because it destroys the possibility of any base being secret. But the raiding a store while the owner is offline is 100% against the rules, it was even on the intro test - and should not have been allowed.
