Denied Alcohol lowering the Spore bar?

Gives more use besides from alcohol effects like being drunk if that doesn't exist yet also add drunkness I suppose to punish the impatience of drinking too much to lower the spores..
 
Makes sense. If you're drunk you probably don't care about the spores so you don't really control your breathing around the spores as well. I wouldn't lower it too much, if they did at all.

They never lowered, the idea is that they should, but increases drunkness as a trade-off, so you have to wait a little for it to go away.
 
I was thinking about your text becoming slurred or practically useless to understand instantly if one is drunk/tipsy. But never to completely stop you from speaking. You could also argue if having a high alcohol level in the bloodstream affects the infection in a negative way.
 
You've got to use gas masks + filters to help with spores, we do not want alcohol to do that
