I'd suggest a 7 day wait between learning languages. So, you'll use the first 5 in 5 days, then wait 7 days, then spend the next 5 days using the next language... Just a little too easy for some people to be omni-lingual.

Also something like this
Should be every 10 intelligence points you have, you get another language slot. You should start out with 1 language to learn (so you know English, 1 from character creation, and you can have one more from audiobooks)

I suggest a HARD CAP to how many languages somebody can learn. Half the server is fucking polyglot by now and it's very very cringe.

An intelligence cap is a good way of doing it but I'd frankly up it to maybe 15 because we can't really do the slow learning of languages in addition to a language cap of three or so. It could also be a mix of that system of learning languages but until you reach X intelligence level you cannot add on another language.

It isn't really that unrealistic that people with frankly a lot of freetime ICly learn multiple languages, especially in a world where so many people are mixed up it's almost like the Tower of Babel in some ways, so, makes sense.

I would personally very much like to see a hard cap and time based limitation on how many languages can be learned. Kind of ridiculous how omnilingual the entire server will rapidly become if there isn't some sort of barrier, especially since many characters start with two right out of the gate.

There's already a handful of suggestions with the audiobook time and have been adjusted accordingly. Check the implemented section or such for other related audiobook suggestions
