Really curious as to what these "Militia's" Would be in actual practice. Like Brown shirts or are we talking Yugoslavia type shit? And why would the Combine even allow regular citizens to just raise arms and drill in paramilitary/military gear. It doesn't really make sense to me From what I've read it seems like you'd might Aswell just have the arteria arm become a full fledged faction of like Loyalist Reservists to be deployed into Sewers/Slums ect. And then have a certain Politician express interest in them, Win them over and use them to coup. I don't see the average T-1-T-2 Being allowed to physically bear arms and train, It just seems so bizarre considering we have CP's literally grab people off the street and beat them. Wouldn't these Militants potentially using this training to fight against Civil Protection be seen as an Issue? It just seems so bizarre that in a literal 1984 type civilization that we'd see the regular loyalist be "Allowed" to enlist into or even form a Militia when helmets are so tightly controlled hell even kitchen knives raise a few eye-brows from Civil Protection.
Generally because it's going to be shit similar to Weimar. Politicians within the Senate need to figure out security. It's in their interests to either use citizens loyal to themselves (a militia) or find alternative protection.

If you don't vet actual loyalists, you'll probably get shot. So it needs to be people actually loyal. It'd be up in the air if you actually give them batons. You'd have to work something out with cops. Otherwise, as a politician, you give these citizens rocks or shanks or whatever the fuck to protect you less some guy bash your head in with a rock or shank you for opposing their party.

Training would no be official. It's not like the Arteria. You aren't getting firearmed trained. You aren't getting anything official. Best you can do is getting a stick to bash someone's head in.

So then it's going to be Republican Brown shirts vs Futurist Black shirt's in the street?

That's what I want to envision.

Republicans, Futurists, Humanists, Transhumanists.

Let them duke it out. Elections would get super heated for Prime Minister/Leader of the Council.
Meanwhile Citizen Reps would duke it out.

I want Weimar Republic RP.

I just wanna have fun.

Make the Dystopia interesting.

Something is now in the works in collaboration between CCA and CPs to help boost Loyalists and patch the current CCA issues. All I ask is that everyone be patient as this progress begins moving forward as we have now got a full-blown discussion moving at last.

I will mark this suggestion as ACCEPTED but be mindful that the end product may not be a 1:1 representation of what has been suggested here thus far. We are switching to the idea of a "Council" which is based on this suggestion along with other additional content to make sure that this council that gets made in the end actually has purpose and meaning, as well as a full operational structure.
