Implement the simulation pods for OTA from D47 where Transhumans can enter a pod each and go into a training simulation where they remain and practice till deployment.

This'll keep OTA away from the gate and occupied to those who wish to be a background character and just generically RP as a Transhuman.

Good idea, but there's one reason this'll never ever ever be added

City 24 V3 stretches source to its limits so much that, if you want to add something, you need to remove something
So, removing 5 apartments to add in a rarely used training room for OTA isn't really a good tradeoff.

Ignore AdamCF. He is just a hater.

just add a teledoor to the sim room so people don't have to ask an admin to TP them for sims

Probably better to try and train on the dev server or something. Seems like a waste of time and resources for one relatively minor faction.

Alternatively, just make a simulation room for both cops AND ota At least it has a raison d'etre in that case.

Maybe go do actual roleplay on a civilian character instead of
1. Wasting time on an event faction
2. Wasting a server slot
3. Wasting resources for this "simulation room" that could be used to improve the map

"Server slot" The server is never full anymore and if it is I'll proudly switch to make a slot useful.
Wasting time on an event faction, consider the fact that people are possibly new to factions and only had a chance to apply for OTA, this makes them interested in playing as their only faction and some only get on to play OTA from past and current experience. Some people don't enjoy civirp.
It's not really wasting resources when we have resources right infront of us on D47 but yea could go and train on devserver.

If people wanna RP as OTA and there's no guidelines as to if they can or not flag on at anytime then get over it.

By 'resources' he means the fact that there's a limited amount of 'brushes' (the geometry the map is made of) and entities that the source engine can handle. To add anything to the map, something else needs to be removed. Adding a simulation room to the map means you'd need to remove other areas of the city, many of which have already been repurposed for the upcoming v3 update

I know you guys dislike OTA due to the recent sweeps but taking it on the forums for zingers isn't really the proper way.

Take it to management or someone who cares, your just creating animosity between players this way.

I have nothing to contribute to this conversation as I am indifferent as to what you waste your time on, as playing HL2RP is, in general, a waste of time.

Does OTA Not do Squad based trainings like once a week or so in nexus? If not they should consider doing so keeps the members sharp and helps the newbies get acclimated. This way they're not bored and don't flag to wipe the slums out. And they get to train and better themselves, Like it or not they may icly be "Highly trained super soldiers" but oocly the people playing those "Highly trained Super soldiers" would really benefit from a weekly or once a weekend Training session to sharpen up on tactic's and behaviour. Set a time. Have the guys hop on discord and for like an hour go over shit like breaching and Military tactics. It's fun for OTA, It keeps them outta the slums from destroying rebel rp so developed rebs get to live. And it gives the newer and bored OTA Whitelist holders something to do.

Gotta remeber while CP's are the face of a server. OTA Heavily Heavily contribute to that. If I'm some guy who randomly decided to check things out on a Sunday and some CA is giving a speech guarded by OTA And I get plastered 0 rp I'm gonna be pissed but If there's some rp I.E they knock you back, Take warning shots use V.I.P Protection tactic's it paints a nicer picture. OTA Are just as important if not even more so on a server, They're supposed to be professionals

Propping up the sim room and adding a teledoor would not contribute to the brush limit in any way, shape, or form. I know that’s not the original suggestion but still. My suggestion is the best.

But you can already do this.

believe me I have tried to contact staff about it

tried
Unless there's an addon for it, I doubt Atle will push an update just for a teledoor, maybe in a big update. Not to mention the "sim room" is also the admin box, meaning we don't want OTA coming on for a training session, getting in the way of admin sits.

I cant help but feel like that would be really really funny.

this isn't darkRP why are you doing admin sits just PM them or get them to complain on forums
ah yes, all requests for staff help can be solved with a PM or two or a forum post. Anything else should be discarded
