A member of our group, Jeffrey Swade, had given the passcode, which he should not have been aware of ICly to a person outside of our group in an act of treachery against our group, being motivated mainly due to out-of-character reasons for doing so. An hour later, he was then PK'd after getting into an altercation with Civil Protection from when he initially leaked our code for no apparent reason.

The people to who he leaked the base codes then proceeded to raid the base under the false knowledge that Jeffrey Swade owned the base, which he did not, and that it was abandoned post-death, which it wasn't. Their IC reasoning for raiding the base was to "retrieve Jeffrey Swade's items", which none of those were Jeffrey Swade's items as Jeffrey Swade did not store his items at the base and had no part in actually collecting the large number of items stored in the base. He went rogue and gave out passcodes he shouldn't have possessed, as he was never informed of the codes in character to my knowledge.

They had been authorized by staff to raid the base because the staff was under the false knowledge that these were 1. Jeffrey Swade's Items, 2. Jeffrey Swade's base/group, 3. Jeffrey Swade owned the apartment, 4. That the people raiding was part of the group, which they were not, and is in direct violation of raid rules. They then proceeded to loot all our stuff, which took months to collect.

Staff during the whole ordeal were seriously misinformed and confused about the entire thing; as they were under the impression that Jeffrey Swade had owned the base, items, and had owned the apartment our base came to be stationed... Which were all false, as Jeffrey Swade was a minor character in the group, they made much later when the base was already established, was inactive during most of it, did not station their items at the base or use the containers, did not aid in collecting the items to any serious degree, and that the people raiding the base were not base members and not at all associated with the base, in which staff assumed one of them WAS a base member and authorized the raid to proceed, pretty much forgoing the requirement of the 2 or more member requirement or owner being on to raid.

The people to who the codes were given weren't associated with our group at all and Hoki was unfamiliar with them IC and OOCly. He couldn't even recall giving them the codes initially as he pretty much admitted to doing it impulsively without much thought or consideration of other base members.

I am not asking for any punishments. I am asking for my items back. In my opinion, this situation is rather absurd, as the staff seriously messed up on their part, yet they think it is all fine. It is a huge error on the staff's part and none of this should be remotely acceptable, as their IC reason didn't align with ownership of the items OOCly and who are entitled to them (those being Javichu, Pawlu, and I who spent months collecting them), them raiding the base without any of the members on, staff being under the impression that everything was owned by Jeffrey Swade, staff confusing someone not part of our group as being a member and authorizing their raid, and further more.

Apologies for the passive-aggressiveness. I am rather frustrated with how this came to be and turned out, so please excuse my anger in this thread. I am rather disappointed in the initial verdict despite everything and would like to see it overruled so that I may have my items returned. Thank you.

Hey Pipri,

This is still being investigated due the potential FailRP that was involved in giving out the passwords/passcodes and so.

What about staff ignoring the base raiding requirement? Despite having the codes, they still would not be able to open the door unless they broke it open to my knowledge.

It was broken in.

Requirements wise as mentioned it's to do with Jeffrey as was a member of the group but now "PKd" but the possible FailRP regarding that is generally speaking being looked into as potentially it doesn't look like it's a proper PK, instead of leaking out the codes and getting the char purposely killed.

Can you clarify? I'm not sure I understand.

Members of groups can be considered owners of containers instead of it being solely one person, but there was the misunderstanding that this player in question is a member of the rebel group due to the passwords being given out for rather no reason based on last known information, so it's being confirmed by other staff dealing with it as the staff involved aren't supposed to be giving any verdicts due to potential bias generally speaking.

Alright, thank you.

For future reference, the containers' contents were collected through the combined efforts of three people, in which Jeffrey Swade contributed little to nothing to the container's contents, and did not use the containers at any point (past one exception in the distant past) to store his items. Ownership between the containers was split between Pawlu, Javi, and I, as Jeffrey never at any point had tried to contribute to the container himself or use it.
I am still not exactly clear whether or not he was informed of the code IC, as I know for certain his other character was informed which was PK'd and he later ended up joining us on another character, but I'll assume that I did.

Still find it absurd that they were permitted to breach all the containers, none of which stored his items or had him ever contribute items to, using the excuse that "they were retrieving his items."

Add on them breaking INTO the base to steal over 300-400+ items that he never owned, regardless if they thought it was his and the base was abandoned after his death, which it was not, and staff authorizing this raid without any base members being due to believing that the raiders were base members, which they were not... It is without a doubt that the raiding rules were broken here due to ignorance on staff and the players' part.

@RedHotGinger votton told me to bump this. would like to see your statement/opinion on this so that I can respond to any worries or concerns you might have before this is accepted/denied.

@RedHotGinger I've not yet received word on this.

The major points are raiding rules were violated, failrp was involved, and the potential of metagame.

Hey Pipri,

The refund request is ACCEPTED due the FailRP that happened, which you showed me through Discord.

@swagile will deal with your refund.

I apologise for the request taking so long.
