Honestly, with how the events occurred that happened to my character. I am more mad about the fact on how he died and the situation was overall dealt with. I felt like I was targeted due to the silly nature of my character and I feel like the solutions provided where not only poor written but I felt were intentionally funneled off to kill my character off last minute.

I don't really wish for a appeal but I wish for action to be taken affect on those involved and in the future... have actual GMs handle these, People with writing skill like the SS team, and, have the CPs involved to refrain from taking harsh action upon minor offenders.

I'll boil down the situation into three parts.

1. Context
2. Vinyl needs a demotion
3. CPs involved require in terms of repromanding.

Context

My character in question was "Sir Billybottoms" a shitpost character at first but developed into something more refined, I wanted to break away from being serious and tried to actively provide civvies and everyone else something to do. My antics were tolerated and I'd assume that a little insanity, concerning but workable would be a good middleground. He has enough depth to explain his antics and be silly enough to be entertaining but be serious enough to hold weight.

While I had fun on him. Problems occurred when I was detained.

- Firstly, the only crime committed offically was "criminal trespassing" but this only really occurred when they waltzed in, getting their lost property, their "steed".

- I was detained and then told there was "a quest" down in a pit. Before I could really react I was shoved in and had no time to react or even RP, just S2Ked down in a pit.

- I survived but RPed breaking both of my legs, In a situation like this the only real way to "survive" is to put all of the g-force into your legs to survive a fall. While painful it's realistic.

- I survived and managed to inspect the terminal, it required a password so I assumed getting it wrong will alert officers so I attempted to get my character to cut the wires and slide in, pushing the broken wires aside.

- Not only did this not work, I was injured regardless and apparently, a yellow stickynote was asspulled ON THE MONITOR and it magically allowing be to get through. I was told to inspect the terminal but I HAVE and ICLY I would of noticed a obvious note but apparently they left it out during their post.

I find the events leading to my death not only unwarranted but poorly written and frankly, idiotic. A highly secured facility would NOT have a convenient sticky note to allow access to EVERYONE seems silly with everything being bio-locked. That and the fact my character being shot over tresspassing literally doesn't make sense, I was pushed and my legs were visibly broken.

Vinyl needs a demotion

Vinyl needs either a demotion or be heavily reprimanded. They don't know how to GM events and their solutions are hap-haphazardly plastered together and prevent alternative solutions. Some would argue that you can't fit in a small gap but there are contortionists and escape artists who can fit in small gaps just fine, With gap I'm dealing with not only was large enough for them to fit but also made actual sense. A Facility as secure as this won't leave passwords lying around and with bio-locks being common place it's safe to say it'd be a better alternative.

Consistently, other alternatives I presented didn't work and I resorted to what was provided, Vinyl hinted to the wires leading to a terminal, checking it allows for easy escape access but overall I checked that "escape" but it merely read "ENTER PASSWORD", the moment CPs were storming in the terminal MAGICALLY has a yellow sticky-note with the password written on it, Vinyl clearly taunting me and asspulling a solution last minute blaming me for not figuring it out while I ALREADY INSPECTED IT. The power shut off before I could do anything and conveniently a terminal shutting off = CPs swarming me. No wonder slummer/rebel RP is dying.

I feel like Vinyl is new but with how he dealt with the situation, with every alternative blocked or non-existent it just feels like he wanted my character to die and them being a CP member and likely a RL probably gives me heavy suspicions on staff bias. They need a demotion or a reprimanded for this and for them to never GM, they don't hold fair sportsmanship and clearly funnel people into a single vision when it comes to their sessions, honestly feels like they only got in due to having friends inside the staff team/being a former staff.

The CP's

How it was dealt shows that these CP's are either impulse players, new or main OTA. They have no idea how to really roleplay and seem to only play CP for the powertrip. They powergamed my death which didn't even work and the reasoning being over a tire, a rubber tire.

While my character "technically" "broke" in they were just retrieving something they owned, something stolen from them. ICly I should of been punished but I shouldn't be given a death sentence just for being in the wrong place in the wrong time. Even with other possible factors in place, like Billy's mental illness they're well enough to not cause problems and can be easily swayed and moved aside. ICly the combine can either seem them as a potential asset or just a minor nuisance. They are capable of working and don't show any mental or physical illnesses that prevent them from working.

I feel like the whole situation was an excuse for a free PK from some PK hungry CP, No one batted an eye and surprise surprise 2 admins in the CP's faction downplay the situation, ignoring the fact that they were FORCED down into a illegal zone for a minor crime.

CP's need a re-work. While not darth-vader clones they're only devolved into idiotic bullies who aren't concerned that their well being is tied to a fickle thread. Those involved need to be temporarily de-whitelisted and told step by step on how to act as CP's. They act like children, If a homeless knight with a rubber tire as transportation has more depth and entertainment value then these CP's, they need heavy reconsideration.

Conclusion (The Point | TL;DLR)

I just wanted to have fun, the GMing and the situation that led to this just goes to show that Vinyl is not fit for staff, let alone GMing and the CP's involved I feel like either intentionally killed me out of OOC spite or had awfully written IC protocols. While it is a dystopian environment it doesn't excuse poor writing and poor RP.

This and the fact that break didn't achieve anything goes to show the server hasn't changed, It holds empty promises and refuses to fix anything like all those past servers. I can't have fun knowing any character that breaks the norm or does something of ACTUAL value, be it silly, stupid or just different will be shot and executed with the opposing force being immortal supersoldiers who never get PKed and maxed out on combat and speed.

Willard networks boast about being orintated around being FOR players, with systems in place that allow players to do different langauges, craft their own scripts, etc but the more I look at the issues the more prominent it gets. By all means the server is leagues better from everything else but these issues slowly ruin the fun and limit what I can do.

TL;DR, At the end of the day, this all boils down to the staff and CP's involved. CP's were awful roleplayers and the GMing was a dud. They expect us to act and do more but push us down with these poor systems, staff and RPers. I don't wish to be un-pked as it may hold interaction value but I wish for whoever involved to be handled appropriately.

You cannot fit through this gap, even if you got the cable out of the way. Stop trolling.

honestly feels like they only got in due to having friends inside the staff team/being a former staff.
Almost as if having previous experience in a field makes you a more favorable candidate.

I see no problem with the picture above. Also SO TRUEEEEE SHORT STORIES TEAM SHOULD BE GM ON MAIN SERVER YESSSSSSSSSS. Also CPs should have sent you to CMU if they suspected you as mentally unstable…

- I tried prying the door open to no avail
- I INSPECTED the terminal beforehand and no sticky note. Oh wait, it appears last minute? Cool.

There was literally nothing I could do. Even if the """escape""" plan was unrealistic, the situation that led to it was idiotic in of itself. I mean, being amputated over hauling your own tire back? Guess that means you'll have to amputate anyone who j-walks.

Almost as if this is a ruthless dictatorship or something...
But either way I don't know all the facts as I wasn't on, so I can't comment on what you're saying.

The facts are the GMing was done poorly, The CPs pushed me over a minor violation.

While the combine are a ruthless dictatorship, they're are assimulationist. Borg like. If your useful your useful. They don't amputate random citizens just because they act a little funny, if they activley impead the combine's efforts they die for it.

Act with more free-will then a whiteblood cell, go against the regime you are a cancer that needs amputation.

The situation that lead to it all and the lacking alternatives LEAD to this stupid last-ditch effort of escape. While semi-unrealistic it IS somewhat possible but the general point being is that I SHOULDN'T be forced to make such a stupid play due to poor GMing, due to POOR RP.

Almost as if this is a ruthless dictatorship or something...

I was the guy who put a 9x19 round through your skull. I RPed feeling sorry for it, I asked my rank-leader to reconsider a couple of times, pointed out you were tied and had your legs broken, which I thought some vort/rebel opened the door and put you in there, or something. Dispatch told me to kill you under 51b and 63 criminal trespass. Despite my pleas, they were ignored. So. I did what I had to do. Sorry bro.

The gap was very small, in my opinion you wouldn't have been able to crawl through it. The wire (that I let you saw off) was in the way and arcing electricity as I said. Touching it would've caused your instant demise. The wire was also blocking the gap.

You attempted to push the wire aside, I /it you being shocked by it. Indicating you cannot just shove a 20000 or whatever freshly cut open cable aside. I already spared your life there.

You inspected the terminal screen, I showed what was on the screen, not the terminal itself.

(might be a bit meh at my part, I agree. I could've given a full description of the terminal)

A Facility as secure as this won't leave passwords lying around and with bio-locks being common place it's safe to say it'd be a better alternative.
Your character is named 'Sir Billybottom' I wanted to give you an easy way out fitting you.

- I tried prying the door open to no avail
1641169129188.png
(The 'door' in question)

You tried prying open a wall, I even let you know in a /it, but you ignored it and went off to saw the cable.

I feel like Vinyl is new but with how he dealt with the situation, with every alternative blocked or non-existent it just feels like he wanted my character to die and them being a CP member and likely a RL probably gives me heavy suspicions on staff bias.
You caused that situation yourself, I clearly did a /it stating that the cable is connected to an outlet outside the room. You wanted to saw it in half and I let you. That caused the power to go off in the room, disabling the lights and the terminals.

I am a CP not an RL, me being in the CP doesn't change my judgement. I am very pro-rebel/crime RP and would gladly assist them in any way. Furthermore, I handled according to my situation.

Another factor that I didn't notice beforehand is that you we're tied up, something I didn't notice because you're running around the place and interacting with items.
This was either done by accident or deliberately

This isn't a complaint about me but the CP faction, something I to a degree agree with you with.
Name-calling however isn't the way to go about that.

In my conclusion:
I handled according to the situation I was dropped in and with the knowledge I had to the best of my extent.
I described the environment and reacted according to your /me's.
You as a person were tied, something we discovered after the fact.

In my opinion, your permant-kill could be reverted.

I don't really blame you but whoever roleplayed that Dispatch and whoever were the CP's that pushed me were awful RPers.

It's why I don't really want a PK-appeal, what's done is done but those involved need to be reprimanded

I don't care for the perma-revert. I want you to be reprimanded accrodingly. While you are new I'll give you that the situations you pushed me into were both unfair and poorly planned out.

You're ignoring the fact that YOU blocked nearly all reasonable ways out. It's not my fault that the map design isn't distinct on walls or doors in that cell. The fact that I had my character be put in a situation where I was killed over a minor offence and then denied of every reasonable way out only to then materialize a way out last minute was awful. You could of just had a random blackout happen, but you made it so ALL CPs swarmed my location. You gave me no breathing room, no material to work with and you didn't specify your /it's.

This isn't about the PK, it's about how you acted that moment. How those CP's acted. I could care less but it's self evident that the server refuses to fix itself. It's a just stupid I had to even try to do stupid acts like shoving characters my ass into a torso-thin grate to get out.

The point is, the situation should of never happened. But the affects still linger. Even If I DO get a PK appeal this shit will still happen. The only reason why I brought you into this is that you were a contributing factor. I don't hate you, I just want approprite action taken upon those responsible.

Oh gee, where do I begin?

First off, your character is a minge character. No way around it, it just is. Just one look at your name and description says enough about what we're dealing with. If I didn't know any better I'd think this is a person who just started their first roleplay experience on Willard with no prior experience.

Secondly, Vinyl is new, yes. Today was his first day staffing, actually. Hurray! While yes, I wasn't impressed by the GM'ing, it felt like trying to salvage a terrible experience in order to create an atleast somewhat enjoyable experience on your part. Let alone the shenanigans as to how you got there to begin with.

Your hands were tied, literally. Vinyl didn't see that, because he didn't look close at you to notice the "This persons hands are tied" description tag. He GMed under the assumption that you weren't, and later on changed his mind. Frankly, he was put under a lot of pressure because of all of those things.

Here comes the next part, you won't like this one!

I was playing Dispatch during that entire mess.

I was informed you cut the wires to the terminal (somehow, while your hands were tied) and shut off the power in the checkpoint. Logically, Dispatch (me at the time) gets notified and alerts Civil Protection. I was actually quite generous in describing the location to give you ample time to do an escape or whatever you were even doing there with your hands tied. Nevertheless, you got caught down there. Broken bones, or whatever messed up state you were in.

You were not killed for having an old tire. Don't be ridiculous.

You were killed for charges: 51b, and 63. For those who don't know, that's Threat to Property, and Criminal Trespass. Both of these are terminal charges, 51b being black-tier = always death.

Why didn't I feel pity for you, and let you live? Because I'm playing an emotionless AI who won't feel pity for an old man who broke his legs while trespassing. @dingus is right, he begged to let you live. His pleas were ignored, the AI does not care. I once again ordered the immediate execution, and with tears in his characters eyes, he ended yours. There was nothing wrong here regarding RP on the Combine side.

To sum it up, your minge character was given way too much leeway in what he could do in the first place (tied hands, broken legs) and tried to do impossible things. Turned off power for the whole checkpoint instead of using the terminal to open the door, confusing Vinyl as well.

Was the GMing bad? Yeah, it could be better. But honestly, I don't blame him for one bit for his impulsive-GMing for what was already one of the weirdest situations we've seen so far.

I've rambled for too long, so I'll end it here. Hope I cleared something up, at least.

I think it's a bit degrading to say his character is a minge, come on, don't be like that. Sure, he wasn't your typical dystopian character, but he wasn't entirely mingey either. His name and description does need some improvement though.

Yet a CP calling me "Lord Moron" asking me to toss myself in a pit of certain death is less of a minge act?

My character is a silly stupid old man, but they aren't made for pure mingery. They're intentionally silly because the creates CONFLICT, ACTION, FUN. Nearly every other character I seen that isn't "mingey" is either deep as a cardboard cuttout or too reserved to be looked into at a glance.

By your logic, Vanessa should be a minge character yet they're reasonably silly.

As for your reasoning, a heartless A.I would know that just killing a citizen straight up causes issues. It's a loyalist city and there's little reason to amp unless absolutley needed. He wasn't a meance to society and was perfectly capable pawn, Instead of creating a interesting RP situation you just ended him there and there, No interaction, No story just death.

That's the issue, they aren't observant hence my want for removing of their GM status. They shouldn't GM until properly looked into.

While their staffing experience is entirely different, Their GM experience in that moment was unfair and horrible. I tried every reasonable escape route and resorted to the stupidest one out of pure desperation.

It isn't the fact that the time was awful, it was the fact that CP's were even really called in there. Anytime CPs are called it leads to immediate death or cockblocking.

While I don't want to be null to all consequence, I'd rather have a CP's being called as a last straw.

There were no reasonable ways out, the elevator or the door were the only ways out.
You shut off both of those methods of escape, the fact that the CP's killed you isn't my fault, they shouldn't have.

The blackout would've been noticed by Dispatch, and Dispatch was very generous with the time allocated to you.

I couldn't leave either way. They would just toss me back into the pit again and i'd die and correction, literally there were TWO terminals, THREE counting vendor in the back. The elevator was a null option.

It isn't the fact that Dispatch gave me generous time, It's the fact that they would jump to amputation of all things. I could of been stalkerized, interrogated or whatever but I had no interaction throughout. I'd rather die that way or around known characters over just falling and dying to a gunshot.

I know it isn't your fault with the CPs, You have no control over them. But you had control over what I had access to and it frustrates me I had to stick my characters ass in a thin ass grate as an escape. I just hope you try to specify your /it's next time.

You had a black-tier charge, which is unavoidable death no matter what. There was no way out of that one. Stalkerization is only really done as a "reward" for captured developed rebel characters who have proven to be able to roleplay correctly. With all due respect, I don't think CP's in that position would have considered to stalkerize an old guy called "Sir Billybottom's the Fourth".

I just think the situation itself was awful. The character simply retained their old property and got killed for it.

The charges in place, The GMing and overall the whole situation was a clusterfuck. While "crime" was comitted it should of been a simple affair not a full on amputation.

Really, it all boils down to interaction. Nothing came of my character dying besides "oh so sad, anyways". It destroyed a potential avennue of personal entertainment for me and I have no idea what to do next. If simply "breaking" into a warehouse just to get back what was his is a death sentence I might as well either be a faceless citizen or leave.

If he were to die, I'd rather have it be something more severe then damaged property.

Again, he wasn't killed for that. Stop bringing it up.

Right now, I fail to see where the actual complaint lies. None of what happened is worthy of a demotion, or "revoking someone's GM status" which doesn't exist. There is no such thing as a dedicated GM on Willard, as you were told several times at this point. They're all staff, the GM position was removed over a year ago now in favour of adminstrators instead.

This entire thing feels more like an anger-fueled rant, rather than a complaint. Most of these things could have just been discussed with the people in question, and does not warrant an admin abuse report at all.

There was absolutely zero admin abuse. This is a complaint rather than a report.

Since this is becoming more of a complaint about CP behaviour and far less a report on Vinyl. I suggest you make a thread in the suggestions sector of the forum as this is nowhere near a report on a staff member anymore.
