Add a toggle-able option to allow the player to always have their weapon raised, instead of having to manually raise it.

This is particularly annoying in combat, when you go to throw a grenade or switch over to another weapon and almost die trying to raise the grenade or gun.

I disagree with this purely with the fact it leads to people just tapping the toggle raise button by accident and having visual bugs that happen to look like you've raised your fists/gun to someone when in reality you have not. And this is a VERY common problem in clockwork/helix/nutscript

If someone accidentally enters the settings menu, toggles an option without realizing and doesn’t see that their fists are raised I’d be shocked. Plus a visual glitch in GMod isn’t something to be worried about.

True true. But shit can go down hill fast and you know this. Gmod role players are volatile at their best.. So a lot of problems could stem from this, though on the other hand it'd be extremely useful to have, even if it would be buggy.

I have toggleraise binded to X since clockwork, u can bind i think. simple as.

If you can bind it, which I'm not sure what the command is for that in console - then the bind suggestion is mute since the ability for you to do so may already exist.

No peanut head, I’m asking for a toggle option to skip raising the weapon entirely.

Oh sorry my bad.
Have you tried playing DarkRP I think when you switch to your weapon there it is already raised :angrycop:

In all seriousness, is pressing 1 button when you switch your weapon that much of a hassle?

To be fair it can be especially in TBC cause switching weapons takes like 1-2 action points and it leaves you extremely fucked if you do that just to switch to a grenade. Which takes 2 and it doesn't let you toss it. But i agree, its there for a reason.

Denied.
Like @Vinyl said, the weapon-raise delay is there for a reason. Realistically it would take you at least a second or so to properly raise your weapon and aim it, same for grenades, melee weapons, and whatever. Having it bind-able or always raised wouldn't make much sense and could introduce balance issues.
