Steam Name:Cyrus The Virus
SteamID: STEAM_0:0:11101

Name of the Admin you were banned by: Leudoberct
How long is the ban for?: Three months
The reason you were banned?: Stealing workbenches from an apartment(Breaking raid rules)
Why do you wish to be unbanned?: The reason i wish to be unbanned is because of the circumstance that i was in , the apartment was already opened and raided by CP's . I had IC information from another person that CP's did a raid on RB-2 and RB-3 , i was initially looking for an oven i could take and use but i came across the open apartment with the workbench mixer and oven and so i thought that since it had already been raided i could scavenge what was left , unaware that it broke raiding rules .
I also wish to state that i do not expect a full on unban , i would wish for a reduction due to me not necessarily knowing about the full extent of the rule.
Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: I do not

Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: (List the steam and/or character names of them or tag them) None that i am aware of .

For reference, these are the logs of your interactions with the workbenches.

Here are the excerpts from our rules that are directly relevant to this situation:

No staff oversight was present for this, nor was the owner of said workbenches even online. Just because the door is open does not mean that you are free to take whatever you want. Additionally, even if the base had been raided by CPs, there are still strict rules on them seizing workbenches, meaning that if they are still there, they are meant to still be there.

You say that you were unaware of the rules, but that is ultimately on you. You are expected to have read the rules, and the burden to do so rests on the player- this is something you should have done when you first joined the server, to pass the quiz. A harsh ban was given due to the fact that the staff team are growing very, very tired of incidents like this, and we want to crack down on this behaviour, as you are seriously screwing over other players through this.

I do admit it is my mistake for not fully overlooking the rules , but i do believe that three months is a bit excessive for something that is not really raiding in character but more like scavenging in my eyes , i know now it was raiding but i thought it was simply scavenging .

Quick question since it has been 1 week now and i was wondering if the appeal is still being reviewed or if its closed ?

Hey! Sorry to keep you waiting. I have looked over this appeal and what I can tell is that you just made a mistake regarding the workbenches. Though you have broken the rules, I think it's fair to reduce your ban to a month. I have no idea how @Leudoberct thinks about it, but if he agrees I shall reduce your ban to a month (which should almost be over considering we are a month ahead now).

No worries and if thats the case thank you !

Your ban shall be reduced to a month. Keep in mind thay any infraction shall have great consequences. We'll have a close watch on you!
