Name of the Admin you were banned by: neyoon
How long is the ban for?: A month
The reason you were banned?: Being part of an 'unlawful metagaming server'
Why do you wish to be unbanned?: Due to the fact that, there being no actual obvious indication of the fact that such servers were not allowed, I don't see why the ban had to be a month, that just feels excessive. And previously thereafter there was also no feedback from admins that this was even bannable when they did come to the server. When they said this wasn't allowed, I subsequently left the server, as being in it wasn't allowed. But then I come on, and see that I'm banned for a month.

And additionally the fact that the 'metagaming' part is just a complete assumption. We only catalogued information that we knew ourselves and got shared between other rebels, simply relaying it for those part of the group to see, not relaying information that could not have been otherwise disclosed amongst ourselves. The server's mere existance, in my opinion, doesn't constitute a month long ban for every member, that just seems obtuse.

Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: No, because I didn't take any prior to leaving, I just left when told it wasn't allowed.

Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: Ask Sniper, Sync and others, I guess.
 
I wasn't aware of it due to the fact that I don't check the discord often enough for that, and I currently have other things to be taking care of. Additionally, I'm not the owner of the group, I'm a member, so once again I don't understand why I got a month ban. I even left when we were told it wasn't allowed to exist.

Not knowing the rules doesn't excuse breaking them, it is each players responsibility to know of the rules, and this rule in specific wasn't written just yesterday, it's been there for a very, very long time.
 
Yeah, but a month? A month for this? This seems obtuse, especially because, once again, I'm not the god damn owner of the group, I was a member.
 
Yeah, but this ban's length is bullshit on the basis that I'm not the owner of the group. I'd understand a few days or a week, but a month seems just excessive.

And this seems comparatively minor as an offense, so once again I do not understand why the length of the ban is an entire damn month.
 
I'd advise you to seriously reconsider your attitude before continuing to reply to this thread. As of right now, you are way too volatile to discuss with.

As for the circumstances of your ban, everyone involved got a flat month, and extensions or reductions were to be discussed on the appeals itself. We do have evidence of you actively using the group to metagame, despite you being in the Underground discord already.

It's not our fault you didn't read the rules, have a nice day.
 
Again, not metagame, as the information relayed was known by everyone involved IC.

But whatever, at this point, I need a break from this server, and a month's time will give me time to figure out what to do next.

And considering me volatile when all I expressed is that I find the length of the ban to be excessive is exactly the problem I have with the staff team. But this isn't the thread for that.
 
If this appeal is to be reviewed in future, here are the reasons I at least believe that the ban should be shortened.

1) No obvious elusion to seek out the rules. I was operating under knowledge based on experience from prior seriousrp communities, and this was basically a first. Willard didn't stand out in it's conduct to me from the others.

2) Me once again not being the actual curator of the group. Considering the fact that it was made, I had assumed that it's existence was justified, especially considering that an admin was a part of it, that being Juicy, hence I had not thought anything of it.

As for the conduct you deem as volatile, I get how you may think that, but you should see it from my perspective. The server places no emphasis on studying the rules, and it should therefore be something that's present as a reminder in the discord rule channel, such as a small reminder 'Remember to read the forum rules as well, here's the link'.

I do apologize for any percieved bad blood or venomous tone, but I would appreciate more of a helping hand, not a smack across the face for it. You know full well that a month doesn't really mean much of anything in long-running rp communities, so I'm still green.

So that's where my frustration stems from. The same retort of 'lack of knowledge of rules doesn't exempt one from the consequences of breaking them', which while valid, is unfair in the sense that the server places little to no emphasis to seek the rules out in the forums, at least from my experience.

We have multiple reminders both in-game and on Discord. You even need to read the rules when you join the first time.

But, anyway, I believe you were already warned for volatile behavior by @Imperator GOOSE-X so I will let him have his say before dealing with this.

I would have appreciated if you addressed the second point I brought up. I'm not sure if you overlooked it, but I believe it is a valid reason for ban reduction.

The only reason I haven't processed this yet is to give Goose a chance to respond first. So we'll need to wait for that.
 
You were warned for the anger / toxicity towards staff, so personally I’d want the ban extended a bit to adhere to that warning.

However I’m saying this now. Anymore of this toxic / volatile behavior when you return, and I will permanently ban you.
 
Honestly I just want to find out the verdict, as all the other members thus far have been unbanned.
 
Look, I apologize for the way I have spoken to staff in the past. I have a tendency to use swears a lot and I have never (except in one instance), said anything directly crude, only used swears when I tried to convey what I wanted to say. It may have caused others to misconstrue what I meant, or misconstrue there being hostility or animosity where there wasn't any.

I understand how it looks toxic and I apologize once more for speaking in such a tone, it's just something that I don't have very great control over and never once did I mean to insult staff, only retaliated when there was clear mockery directed towards me.

So once again, whatever the verdict, I am sorry for saying what I said the way I said it and if the ban is reduced or lifted, whatever happens, I will try to establish a filter on myself.
 
Due to how intrinsically linked every party banned in this Discord is, I have decided on a unified judgment. That being the 3 days you have already been banned, with a permanent ban on any future confirmed metagame/secret discord case. There's also Goose's warning about toxicity which is in place as of now.

Accepted.
