Hi.

So, sometimes I tend to work on more things other than just Willard (or HL2RP in general sometimes) when it comes to coding - I saw some people were interested in what I make, so I figured I'd make a thread here where I can just randomly dump pictures or videos about things that I'm working on that may not necessarily be related to Willard.

I'll begin posting soon - feel free to give feedback if you wish!

Here's a small commission I did for someone yesterday - just an entity that takes an item and gives another item in return, in essence.

Over the Winter break, I began working on a gamemode-project - essentially a re-creation of the game Hacknet, but as a multiplayer Garry's Mod gamemode.
For those of you who do not know what Hacknet is, here is a short description from the Steam Store page: "Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hole as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports. Using old school command prompts and real hacking processes, you’ll solve the mystery with minimal hand-holding and a rich world full of secrets to explore."

So far it is going quite well, however, I've been having less and less time to work on it since the break has ended, but it has been really fun to work on and push my coding limits and learn new things nonetheless. Below are some screenshots from the game, followed by their re-creations in Garry's Mod.

I've also got the terminal pretty much fully working, as well as the file system and individual files.

Well, 'fully working' is probably an overstatement - there's still quite a bit of ground to cover, but I'm happy with the progress thus far!

If you haven't already, I would highly recommend you check out the actual game. It is fairly cheap for what it offers, and it is a phenomenal game.

And if you really enjoy it, consider checking out the DLC as well.

Started working on hacknet again. Today I wrote a custom settings library and added music, among some other smaller things.

It would be an interesting concept of taking the Hacknet experience in a more simplified way on WN. Have it that Rebels could potentially have temporary access to Surveillances devices, extremely limited control on Datafile information (one - two action change allowed) that is very expensive to attempt and risky but can be extremely useful if the situation requires alterations on information or tap into the CP's radio for a limited time before the radio channel changes its encrypted signal to a different link. If the rebels were to fail on attempting to hijack and hack Combine tech, their origin point is visible and can be tracked and can potentially hacked remotely as a counter to learn the information of the Rebel's status. Very Drafted concept but the gist seems to be clear.

Seems kind of far-fetched for the resistance to gain access to such technology and successfully breach the Combine network. And even then, it sounds more like a City 8-ish thing imo.

Here's a complete feature showcase for the Hacknet Project so far. A may have missed some things, but I'm sure I got mostly everything.

I also made a discord for the project since quite a few people seemed interested in it, you can join it here: https://discord.gg/6vpVbRYvzT

Make OTA spawn within a dropship and drop them off at some location for fun.

Maybe also make a framework of your own.
