Because I don't see how I metagamed.
About an hour or 2 before the vort freeing attempt I decided to just float around on scanner because I didn't feel like doing much on my vort until the time came. Upon flagging on and after a few minutes I see OTA talking about deploying in @dispatch chat. Knowing OTA and that they're alerted for vort freeings, I just start talking to them about it and whatnot. Then I hear them talking about 'practicing their route to the forcefield' with a 'training' in the sewers. This alarmed me because knowing Vadim of all people, I assumed this was just so he could see the fortifcations we'd built, and so he could have an excuse to go down there and sabotage them ICly. I told them to not to fuck with the barricades in @dispatch chat because let's be real, they were gonna do it. But then they proceded to ignore me. So, I DM'd Neonity telling them about it, because Neonity is the fucking OTA lead and obviously is gonna know about it beforehand. I only realized 'wait they might be on their rebel' after I'd sent the message (which never really mattered because apparently they were doing staff stuff and again, most likely authorized it in the first place. Could be wrong.).
Another reason I presume I was banned for was talking about said OTA training on the #unity-general. But this was AFTER Memesky mentioned it on the public channel, so after he did that I assumed it didn't matter if I did as well. I figured it didn't matter because of the Memesky thing, AND because, of course OTA are gonna know about the vort sweep. That's how they've functioned since day 1, it's not news to anyone that OTA are flagged on beforehand.
And the final part of 'what's a reason I might have been banned?', after the horrendous failure of the vort freeing, I flagged onto my scanner just to witness the rest of the carnage unfold. I was already PK'd and had literally no benefit to witnessing CPs mop up. I just wanted to watch because I didn't want to just sit in the character screen after.
So basically, because I happened to flag onto my scanner at the wrong time and because Vadim wanted to go down and [ALLEGEDLY] metagame for himself, I've been banned for metagame after trying to make sure OTA didn't do exactly that. Passive aggressiveness aside, if I ACTUALLY wanted to metagame to get a one-up on the Combine or whatever, I wouldn't have done it on the public rebel discord chats. I was just saying what everyone knew at the moment: that OTA went in the sewers for a 'training' before the vort escape.
If I'm somehow wrong about any of my guesses at ban reasons, please tell me, because all I can do is hypothesize. I didn't have any malicious intent with whatever metagaming I did.
