Subject:
| CID: 40643 | Name: Cameron Raynor |
Age & Status:
| 19 // Civil Status: Tier-3 Loyalist |
Assignment:
| City 24 |

Current Occupation:
Worker / Infestation Control Specialist in the Civil Workers Union

Ex-Affiliations:
City Restorationist Worker in the Civil Workers Union
Researcher in the Bureau of Research and Innovation

Housing: N/A
Known Aliases: N/A

Documentation of the individual prior to the invasion is scarce due to the burning down of government records.

Two weeks after the seven-hour war, the combine forces found Cameron in Dundee; taking refuge in an underground parking lot of a mall complex with approximately six (6) other persons. The individual was relocated to the designated City-31 for industrial labor work.

City-31:
"My life in City-31 was grueling and tough, to say the least, our work-shifts lasted hours on end. Part of me wishes I was never found in Dundee, to let the overgrown grass overtake the city and allow me to die. However, I wouldn't let my spirit die, I needed to continue working for the benefit of humanity. The hierarchy was simple: loyalists work on weaponry and other luxuries, standard civilians; such as myself back then, worked on food items and other commodities, while the underclass got fucked with the hard grueling tasks. The underclass had the highest death rating out of all of the three classes, this caused them to go into a sort of rabid frenzy every so often. Each day I lived in fear as the underclass shit-heads would storm the factories and try to steal our produce or kill as many of us as they could. As expected, I was attacked, the back of my head was scarred after an asshole whacked me with a shovel. Civil Protection didn't think twice about shooting underclasses who attacked us, without them, I wouldn't be alive." - Cameron Raynor

Individual has been relocated to City-24 after showing dedication to the cause. Civilian will prove useful to the Civil Workers Union - as a probable candidate to intake. Status was updated to standard civilian; Social Credit intake for labor work is now allowed.

City-24-District-43:
"My relocation was a surprise to me. Stepping off the train felt like a tsunami of good fortune that just fell on top of me, it was peacefully quiet. The clean air hit me like a hurricane, I could breathe, and I no longer needed breaks to gasp for air. My first day was tough, I had to sleep in the homeless shelter with the underclasses. It didn't feel nice at all, I felt like any of them could've shanked me at any moment. The very next day I went up to a Civil Worker and asked if I could work for ten hours. That's when I realized that ten-hour shifts don't exist in City-24. For once in my life, I was left stuck, bored out of my mind. I tried speaking to people but as a new person in the City barely anybody would acknowledge me, I was a ghost. Thankfully I managed to earn enough credits to afford an apartment and earned RB-2-302. A few days later, I bumped into Raymond Albert, I asked if the Civil Workers Union was accepting people and he told me it was - my heart filled with joy. Back in City-31, the Civil Workers Union was a prestigious job title only given to the most experienced and best workers. So I asked Raymond for an interview and ended up as an Apprentice in the Civil Workers Union. A day later I did my supervised shift; which I passed, and this brings me to the present time. I am currently a Worker in the Civil Workers Union, Mr. Hoxworth trained me to become a City Restorationist. I hope to serve to the best of my abilities." - Cameron Raynor

Individual's status has been updated to Tier-1 Loyalist. Individual shows no neural sign of rebellion; the expected loyalist Tier is to reach Tier-3.

03/08/2020: Current update on individual: Individual has left the Civil Workers Union and Bureau of Research and Innovation with assumed interests in becoming a Civil Protection Unit, monitoring status is ACTIVE.

09/09/2020: Individual was relocated to City-31 for lack of engagement in City 24 to undergo a re-education cycle about the benefits of industrial work and interaction.

11/11/2020: Successful re-education was recieved, individual was relocated back to City 24.
12/11/2020: Underclass citizens were observed assaulting individual, Civil Protection intervention confirmed. One Underclass amputated, five arrested and awaiting Civil Protection verdict.

City-24-District-43-2:
"I allowed my failures to put me into my darkest state of mind, I was relocated back to my city of origin as a way to help me find my path and see what my worth truly is. That being said; when I was offered my relocation coupon back to City 24 I was extatic, albeit a few Underclass scumbags saw this and decided to jump me, I was beaten to near unconsiousness while they rambled about me being a 'Union pet.' My immense hatred for the Underclass remains, those that cannot follow the simplest societal ideologies do not deserve the basic respect given to those that can remain cohesive. The only way we can prosper is if we unite and work together, not against each other. My goals are to become something greater than I was before." - Cameron Raynor

City-24-District-9:
"Due to a few incidents occuring in district 43 I have been relocated to here, after a rough time settling in I think I finally achieved my old habits of consistent work and productivity. Most of the people here are nice, some are totally driven towards work and others are rough on citizens for the sake of being rough. It's a complete mixture which provided ample challenges to help me overcome and grow as a person. I've taken up specality in infestation control and work towards being a tier four collaborator and, perhaps even, trial supervisor of Infestation Control. I must say as well, I definitely prefer loyalist rations over the last rations."

//: INTERCEPTED LETTER FROM UNIT ://
"I've finally made it into Civil Protection, father, I promised you to get you out of that shithole. I'll do everything I can to make sure that happens. City twenty-four is in shambles, I'm going to help rebuild it like you always taught me to. I can't get the family preservation benefit yet, the commanding units haven't promoted me; I'm still working on it. However I promise you it'll be the first thing I'll ask for when I do. There are more scumbags around than I imagined, underclasses living right under our noses dealing drugs; weaponry, being overall murderous-thirsty freaks. Once I get that family preservation benefit I'll see if I can also have a chat with you over the phone, catch up on the good times; eh?" - C24:RCT.YELLO-75

//: ENTRY LOG 1 ://
"No fucking clue what King-3 has it with RECRUITS, reading up on his squadron, seems like they were born to be assholes; I also heard he had an MMR procedure, it must've altered him to be more aggressive. Either way, having such a tough commanding unit train me the basics was quite benefical, it put me under stress and challenged my knowledge. There were times that he was happy and other times where he wasn't. Apart from that I had to re-educate a few people, Pablo Jahemes and some other cunt with a loud mouth. Pablo seems to be a sort of celebrity within the force, units like to pick on him. I'm not going to lie, I felt bad wacking him with the stun-baton. He was a nice man to me back when I was a worker and he never really deserved the re-education. Moving away from the initiation drama I managed to complete my first mission into the QZ zone with minor kevlar damage from a necrotic. Capt had me throw a grenade into a building and I managed to rescue a corpse of a dead OTA, it was thrilling in a terrifying way. Also I don't think the work-desk should exist, it's a cheap way of giving citizens free social credits." - C24:RCT.YELLO-75

"Well, a few months have passed. We lost two Captains and our new one established squadron specialisations, one of which involved a hefty amount of engineering work. So that's what I was put into; considering my past status. I've also recieved my first violation; mainly because no one taught me how to fucking sterlize a corpse. My tagline has changed as well and a few other doo-das. Oh, forgot to mention, I've been capable of redeeming my family cohesion benefit, last I heard my father was put into a quieter industrial zone and into a better housing unit. Far less deaths occur there and the last underclass attack was months ago. I have no regrets joining Civil Protection, I can trust them to know that my father will remain safe. I'm starting to become afraid of losing my humanity. I don't want to end up like
THEM. The amount of deaths I've caused in this job is starting to become numbing however I need to keep moving forward, for my father." - C24:i5.VICE-66

"Always relocated, always crying, always dying. They're looking at me, each step I take; judging me. None of the Zeros care, Jury doesn't care - he shot her. We're losing our own men by our own hand, why are they like this? I'll be shot too, who am I to run to? The rest will shoot me too, I just want to live another day, the screams never stop; their lifeless eyes gazing upon me as if it's my fault for joining the winning side; fuck you, fuck you, fuck you." - C24:i5.Vice-66

//: ENTRY LOG 4 ://
"That fucking madman tried to coup against the combine, he wanted to take control of the CCA. Vice-03 saved me from the fate of a traitor. We were told it was sanctioned by the Captains and to an extent, Jury-181 endorsed this. I refused, I laid oath to the Union and not a mentally deranged lunatic. For the first time in my life I've seen... a benefactor. I can't even describe it properly, there were a million thoughts racing through my head as I stared at it, I didn't see no eyes. It spoke through my head, I heard my FATHERS voice... and he was mad. After the benefactor adverted its gaze upon me I couldn't look at it again, I quickly lowered my head and kept it there but it just came closer. I could tell it was inspecting me. The coup against Orwell failed but the benefactor removed Orwell from office either way, those fucks ruined their lives for no reason. The benefactor left and granted Overwatch to decide our fates, two men propped up in suits. I'm assuming they're part of the "fourth floor" as they have authority over us. Either way we were all taken to the very cells we'd beat citizens in, the transhuman soldiers skinned us from all our equipment, the strange men told us to face the other cell where... I was... face-to-face with... JUDGE-02. I could hear her breathing, I could sense her despair and I was... afraid. I took that MR to feel somewhat normal but it didn't fucking help! I'm still that scared little child that listens to orders, needing their hand held by commanding units, I watched helplessly as the transhuman soldiers tortured her, crippled her, her screams of agony radiating through my face-mask... I want to see my father again, I want to go back to working for the workers union. What the fuck did I get myself into? I'm just a kid, barely even an adult, a useless fucking child that failed to do anything great in Echelon Alpha." - C24:i5.VICE-66

//: INCOMING LOG FROM UNIT AT INDUSTRIAL 24 ://

"I agreed to be sent to Industrial 24 to assist with a clean-up operation. When I arrived it was... quiet. We found a hardpoint with an AR3 attached, some moron asked me to remove the hinges and take it with us; that idea was quickly shut down. We found a train carriage on fire and there were... cooked bodies in it, their corpses were positioned in obvious struggles of help. Jesus, burning alive is one of the worst ways to go. Once we finally got out of the subway we were instantly met with a guy who just murdered his friend, he held a knife and was completely bloodied. I didn't engage; I instead took interest in multiple headcrabs that were rushing to our area - I shot them before they lunged at us. By the time I turned around the man with the knife was killed, chest full of bullets. I didn't even hear the gunshots, why? We moved onwards, heard screams from the medical building, we rushed in and saw multiple dead functionaries and a man hiding in an office surrounded by various necrotics. After successfully amputating them, three units went to assist the man whom had a tier four armband. While they did that I found a wrench and broke a set of planks against a door with my sheer strength and cleared another room full of necrotics. Once I came back the tier four was dead, shot in the head by the commanding unit; why? I don't know... I don't fucking know. We left the building and headed down the street when we got ambushed by three rebels. Judge-12 took so many fucking blows to the chest and head but kept standing, Helix-20 got their facemask smashed. By the time it was over I was surrounded by corpses and a pool of blood, I don't even know what happened... We moved on nontheless, into a pub, three people sitting there, one drunk; one serving and one simply relaxing. The commanding unit told us to get them on the wall and eventually we did, but with struggle, they were a curious bunch if I have to say so myself... I don't really know what happened in the mission after that." - C24:i5.VICE-66

"But I do, Cameron was in no state to conduct these atrocities, I am not bound to morality; only logic. Upon the detainment of the three individuals one attempted to negotiate with me, questioned which of my family members the Union have 'hostage'. Frankly, quite a bold statement if I say so myself. JUDGE-93 knew that their mental states have gone too far down the drain, therefore, as an act of mercy. We killed them so they didn't need to live in this hellhole of a district. Their brain splattered over the wall in a memorizing pattern as their lifeless bodies went limp. I moved on, obviously, a simple order should not affect my performance. I returned to the group and moved onto a house, the citizens there took notice of us and attempted to throw various pieces of garbage in an attempt to harm us; one even jumped out of the house in an act of desperation. I looked over to the right just as JUDGE-93 obliterated his legs, his despair and cries for help echoed through the district but were quickly met with swift oppression as he was shot in the head. Four units barged into the house to give them the same fate as the man, I stayed by the door to prevent any escapee's. We moved onto an apartment complex after amputating them, at the elevator there was a tier five; he was severely malnourished, clearly a lost cause. 93 instructed us to put him out of his misery and we did. Next we found two citizens that assumed themselves as boyfriend and girlfriend, so I clearly suspected Verdict 288; Non-Sactioned Procreation. Just as I was going to prosecute H-51 and H-20 came in, told me that H-20 needed to man up and to leave since it was too crowded. I agreed and stepped outside for a moment, Cameron at this point thought he had enough and tried to get me to stop; I was not diswayed by his feeble attempts by simply smacking himself against the head. I continued on, determined to complete the mission despite Cameron begging me to stop. Finally, we found a rooftop where three men stood upon, unfortunately for them one of the guys there committed identity theft, the other two were prosecuted for conspiracy. I personally disagreed with this verdict as no functionaries were available at the time, either way, I followed 93s orders. I shot one man in the head, his body went limp and fell onto his friend who ran towards a crate. In the crate was bread and vodka; I decided to show some mercy as I believe the other units would have suspected me for psychopathy. He drank both bottles and ate the bread however, with some audacity, the man spat bread and vodka against my visor; I shot either way and hit him in the throat. He fell back and gasped for air as his neck flooded with blood, spraying it all over my uniform. After that we simply returned to the razor train and departed back to District 43." - C24:i5.VICE-66

//: ENTRY LOG 5 ://
"Well the past few days have been rather... enticing. I suppose it all started when that biotic shot a beam at us, first time engaging such a target. I must admit, I felt rather nauseous for whatever reason. Unfortunately Judge-0 crumbled under the first lighting strike so I decided to ripcord, I'd rather not have the Captain slaughter me for failing to rescue her. This happened to be a good choice as I recieved five sterilized credits, this civil administration lady from the IMS; I still don't know what they do let alone stand for, treated her injuries. She was a rather strange short woman and had the audacity to ignore me when I asked her a simple question. Nonetheless I had to respect her authority. The very next day, while I was busy in CP-2, an elightened biotic; I have no clue what to refer to it as it was energized, assaulted the nexus. We lost quite a few members and the socio-stability was promptly fractured. In my opinion, this is brilliant as I get to see people cower in fear as I decide their fate under my baton. Speaking of batons, I figured out a few new torture methods I need to test out. You see, the baton conducts a measily fifty to three hundred volts. When in contact with a human test subject this is fatal, however we are taught to only briefly expose the body to this voltage. At maximum it is capable of incapacitating the subject in a single hit. Luckily the engineers designing the baton added a fifty volts, and they didn't do it for no reason. Fifty volts is unlikely to cause a fatal injury, thus meaning a subject can be electrocuted for approximately one minute; causing extreme paralysing pain, restricting the subjects breathing. Longer exposure is guaranteed to be fatal. This means I can play with my subjects, slummers primarily, for longer. I have also made up an execution method I really want to try out on an anti-citizen, utilizing the viscerator. Albeit bloody, the idea is brilliant and will cause extreme pain. Tie them up on a chair and muffle their mouths if you do not wish to disturb the Captains rest. Otherwise let them scream as loosely as you want. Anyway, after tying them up simply release a viscerator and close the door, give it about five minutes, and walk back in. At this point you may have blood sprayed everywhere and there are probably guts all over the floor, hell they might've even escaped the chair but failed to get to the door. Just sterilize the corpse and mop the blood. Oh right, the anti-citizen stuff, don't really know what else to say but here's some art I made as a slight recollection of what happened." - C24:i4.VICE-66

SURVIVAL.png

//: ENTRY LOG #6 ://

"A little boy cried in the corner, he missed his parents so much. Five years of suffering with other survivors, resources scarcely low. Across the city you could see towering grass and trees, reaching hundreds of meters high. This boy cried all day and night, he was scared and hopeless. Many talks about the child were made, 'should we kill him?' They asked themselves. The portal storms didn't stop, the group of survivors lost more and more men, women... even children. Through the sky, the group sees several large floating objects, the combine. Not knowing whether friend or foe they shoot at whatever exits it, three quarters of the group is annihilated. The little child watches as the blood and guts of his past friends fly across, their severed limbs hitting him harshly against the chest and head. He falls over and closes his eyes, the stress overcomes him and he loses consciousness. He wakes up and finds himself in a hell, he looks around, the corpses of who he loved and trusted surround him. It's eerily quiet. His mind, broken, walks him out of the area. Hours of walking around the destroyed city of Dundee the child stumbles upon a camp. The survivors look at him in horror, a child covered in blood; his eyes wide and expressionless. The group takes him in, they cradle him and sob. The innocence lost by the terror of war. His attitude over the next few months remain the same, rumours of rescue fill the camp, the child; whilst broken mentally, stops crying; begins to help with the camps survival. One day as he walks back to the garage with supplies a Stabilization Team encounters the boy. Training their modified rifles at the child, he stares back expressionless. The Soldiers take him in, send him off in a train to some other location. He never saw his group ever again. When the train arrives he is greeted by men in black suits, their eccentric smiles stretched for miles. They take him under their wing, to a dormatory, his own bed, set of clothes and numerous books. They rehabilitated this child; he started expressing emotions again, joy, hapiness, anger. However one issue remained, whenever he held a firearm or weapon; or was in a situation of fight or flight, some other personality would persevere. It called itself Maxwell, his alter-ego. This child was still mentally broken, he was prone to childish crying; terror filled his eyes whenever a member of the Union slapped him or beat him. His grades at this new facility were awful, he seemed to be another lost cause. Sent away on a train by 18 he encounters his Father. By some miracle he survived, the child begins to only care about his Fathers safety. He would do anything for his dad, the last surviving family member. Fortunately for the child, his Father showed undying loyalty to the Union; this boy copied his Fathers actions. The Union noticed his loyalty and sent him away to City 24, to live the rest of his life in a troubled city filled with pure loyalty and hatred. Utilizing his factory skill-sets he excelled in the Workers Union but he continued to worry about his Father. The young adult spent the next months of his life dedicated to join the Civil Protection force just so that he can make sure his Father remains safe with the benefits that Civil Protection provided. He failed at first, but succeeded the second. The amount of death, suffering and pain he gave and endured during his first few months as a functionary was too much for him. His mind started to break once more, revealing hints of his past. Out of fear of being executed he took a Memory Replacement. He started to feel new unprofound confidence, he was more violent; yet his heart remained that of a childs. The humanity of this boy held him back, unfortunately for him, his alter-ego grew stronger. It started to control him, become him. Each time it took over the boy would remember parts of what it has done, he was horrified, he tried to get rid of it but couldn't. Months of struggling, the boy gives up. Cameron... gives up. So I take over, I am the perfect version of Cameron; after all. Born through his trauma, I become the angel of judgement. The pain I inflict fills me with purpose, the death I cause becomes my new motive. The Union saved me, the least I can do is repay my debt through my service."

"All the friends I've saved are dead."

The delegates couldn't keep up, it was as if hell broke loose. He tried to run but something caught his eye on the stabilization readout... XRAY-0 and VICE-14 were critically injured, they laid motionless right next to the exit, VICE-66 swung around and jumped over the barrier, an overwatch soldier took notice of his attempt to grab them out and provided cover. As gunshots sprayed right above his head VICE-66 could barely feel his own body; it's been injured severely to the point he shouldn't be standing yet by some miracle he was, a single shot was all it would take to deservice him. He grabbed both of the unconscious units and threw them across the barricade. In a last ditch effort to help another unit he tried to grab XRAY-26, managing to get him out of the infested zone. Other units whom still stood ran in and swooped the unconsious up, VICE-66 looked back at the havoc; he watched as the Ordinal that protected him falls flat on the ground with a bullet wound to the head. He sprinted out of there, for once his mortality was questioned...

VICE-66 awakens, bolting himself up as the nightmare passes by him. He breathes heavily as another unit stares him down, getting up off his bunk. After a quick ration he donns his mask. He recalls what occurred moments before, he blew up a checkpoint to save Victory. Before he get's a chance to ask the unit if he missed anything he hears his tagline over the radio...

???
<:: VICE-66, make your way up the Overseer elevator. ::>

Putting his gear on he rushes upstairs, the other units mumble to themselves about him. Surely he's fucked something up, why would the command above want *him*? The playful jingle of the elevator goes through one ear and out the other. It opens to a dark room filled with buttons and a hole that reached to hell. To his right he saw the Captaincy staring right at him; he motions 66 to sit down on a flimsy interrogative chair. Complying with the order, the unit sits down, his heart races as his humanity floods back to him. The past few hellish days was too much for Maxwell to handle, his humanity started cracking through.

<:: You're alive. ::>

<:: Yes... Yes I am. ::>

The figure nods, reaching into his desk he pulls out a pair of uniform. It looks sturdier than his, more elite than his. Command uniform. VICE-66 stares at what was presented before him.

<:: You don't need an introduction, do you? ::>

<:: No. ::>

The towering unit nods, VICE-66 grabs the new uniform he was given. He hears the familiar voice of overwatch as he usually does, informing him of his promotion to intention two. The Captain, using his hands, directs him to leave through the same elevator. Getting up, 66 began his journey back. Before the elevator closed behind him he took one more glance, implanting the image of the place in his mind.

//: OVERWATCH NOTICE ://
Attention, VICE-66. Unit promoted to INTENTION TWO. Additional duties updated to datafile.

One:
"I've watched you since I returned. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't do this but in a matter of crisis; and me needing a secondary lead. I plucked you. You've shown immense improvement whilst in VICE. Do not disappoint me; or your squadron."

Fifty-One:
"Alright you know the deal, sixty-six. I'll take you through the mandatory memory replacement procedure. It's... different than the voluntary one."

//: OVERWATCH NOTICE ://

Attention, VICE-66, unit promoted to intention ONE. Overwatch acknowledges successful memory replacement intake.

//: ENTRY LOG #8 ://
"
I remember everything. I remember how the bandits and terrorists broke into my encampment before the ascension, how they slaughtered everyone I held dear. I watched as my mother and sister were dragged helplessly and slaughtered mercilessly. The combine forces saved me, a meer child; they didn't need to but they did. I remember my time in Echelon Alpha, all the 'classmates' that attempted to sabotage me from envy; I was sent away for my own safety, the combine cared about me. They were merciful enough to allow me to stay with my father, the days of struggle because of the underclasses inconsideration for others; civil protection protected me. My days of loyalty rewarded with a relocation to City twenty-four, I watched as more underclasses and terrorists killed those I loved dearly, they caused Hoxworth to go missing, they slaughtered Goodfella, they slaughtered every kind-hearted Civil Administration, they slaughtered my FRIENDS. The combine shown me mercy and kindess. The Union is my home."

"My name is Cameron Maxwell Raynor, my tagline is VICE-66. I am the secondary lead of VICE squadron in Civil Protection. I swear total loyalty to the combine."

//: PRIORITY ALERT ://
TOTAL RENDITION IS NOW IN EFFECT. ALL GROUND PROTECTION TEAMS CODE: COAGULATE, EVACUATE, SACRIFICE

"The train-station is blown, head for the underground; we'll camp it out!"

//: ENTRY LOG #9 ://
"We managed to evacuate to the metro station, unfortunately this runs through resistance networks; we'll need to... plan out our next moves. Scavenging for resources will be our priority. That reminds me, the summit took Monika Nemerothva with them, alongside all ministry personnel.. As far as I'm concerned, Code Black remains in effect and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone to save myself or my comrades. I would be lying if I didn't say this put me on edge, I do fear for my life however remain optimistic that the combine will come for us eventually."

"We've lost everything, I don't know what to do, Maesroe is crying and Walker is supporting her the best he can. The Ascensionist remains uncollared and, hopefully, loyal to us. We've found a small bunker area we can camp out until rescue, I don't know how long this'll take, everything we do will have to be done with purpose. I'm already trying to research a way into giving us radio communication in these tunnels; perhaps if we utilize the transhuman arms radio backpacks it'll give us some form of order. I can't die just yet, I need to tell my father I'm okay."

The_Survivors.png

//: ENTRY LOG #10 ://
"As I climb out the valley of death, I look upon the horizon, the city I once called home; beloved by many, now in complete ruins. Corpses of both xenian and human nature fill the streets, the stench of the dead clearly permissible as the cremators walk idly by. I reached my hand over the glooming moon, feeling the light bounce off my hand. Turning to my comrades, I nod in approval to all of them; we made it through hell and back. We are not about to stop now, we are the survivors of district forty-three, our adaptability saved us; the combine saved us."

SURVIVOR.png

"We were escorted by the transhuman arms, we walked miles in the rubble to reach a small rail station; the occasional gunshot would shoot out in the distance. We sat and waited for the train to come for us, the transhuman arms stood and guarded the entrance with confidence; exterminating necrotic vermin, protecting us. A familiar voice filled the ears of each unit in the station."

VICE-66, REPORT STATUS...

"I hastily answered the call, I told dispatch that I'm alive. Our Captaincy explained the entire situation to them. After the biosignal match beeped off my suit I was welcomed back into the system. Mere moments later, the razor train arrives at the station. We are greeted by other units that survived the enslaught; all with their own variety of taglines, they were shocked to see the Captaincy still alive ever since they heard about district forty-threes disaster. All the units were ordered into the train and we set off, leaving behind the citizens that looked at each other with anxious and gleeful expressions. On the razor train I conversed with the other units, hearing their stories. From the many districts that were there, barely a handful of other units survived; they were shocked that we had such large numbers. Though our friendly chatter did not last long as we reached our stop, district twelve. We were greeted by various rank-leaders, they split us off into seperate groups; district forty threes force primarily stayed the same. They took us to district eleven, I looked around the place, while it was less of than what district forty three was, it's still nice. It's larger as well. I think we'll settle in just fine."

1665191668624.png

The higher the climb, the harder the fall
I'm terrified none of it matters at all
I'm poppin' a pill, my head in the sand
I gotta get out of here quick as I can
Turn off the radio, miss all the calls
I can't be reminded, sick of it all
Tryin' to numb it, my head in the sand
I gotta get out of here, gotta get out

VICE-66:
<:: 13, is there any chance I can get a mental evaluation? Apparently some units have issues with me and I just need to make sure it isn't a condition.::>

HELIX-13:
<:: Hm? Oh yeah sure, let me just finish this up quickly. ::>

<:: 57, 29. Your civil partnership program was accepted, you will go through the process once the workers union have made the rings and set everything up. ::>

A marriage? I haven't seen one of these before. Like I care, as long as it doesn't cloud their judgement in their job.
57, stop staring at me and expecting me to say something back as if I attest.
I never cared. I can't fit in. Do whatever you want just don't let it affect your career.

HELIX-13:
<:: Right, 66, come with me to the medbay. ::>

They're still staring at me, I can tell. What are they whispering about?

HELIX-13:
<:: Sit yourself down. I'll go prepare the evaluation. ::>

Never once did I see someone happy to see me alive.
Rescuing me only to receive that sterilized credit reward.
Disgusting.

HELIX-13:
<:: Let's start from the beginning, can you remember when you began to feel like this? ::>

This is useless, I shouldn't be here. I'm not outside working.
<:: District nine. ::>

<:: Do you remember when you last felt happiness? Truly happy and not of a brutal nature. ::>

Happy...?
Hey Cameron!
I remember the last time I was happy
Cameron! Where were you? Wanted to give you this, a present.
Joining the force wasn't as bad either.
<:: Nice job, 66, I'm sure you'll make it far. Don't let anyone put you down. ::>
JUDGE-2, JUDGE-17, VICE-22, VICE-03. The only true friends I had, the only people I trusted.
<:: 66, you've been recommended for a cleaning operation in the industrial district, we can trust you with this one. ::>
The industrial district...
<:: What the fuck is wrong with you 66?! You've killed over a dozen people and didn't even bat a fucking eye?! ::>
<:: 66 stop acting so strange. ::>

I followed orders.
<:: Well done at industrial 24, you're being promoted to intention four. ::>
I followed orders.
<:: 66 PLEASE HELP ME! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! ::>
I followed orders.
<:: What the fuck 66?! You could've saved her! Now she's dead! ::>
I followed orders.
<:: You make me sick. ::>
I followed orders...
<:: 66? ::>
<:: Well done on reaching intention one. ::>

Who was that?
<:: I'm sorry to hear about JUDGE-17 and JUDGE-0, I'm sure you cared about them a lot. ::>

<:: No. ::>

HELIX-13:
<:: What about anger, any impulses or uncontrollable aggression? ::>

Their blood exhilarates me. I love hearing them scream.
They made me suffer. I simply repay the favour.

HELIX-13:
<:: 66? ::>

13 doesn't care. I remember back in forty-three how he said he hated me.
I'm meerly torturing him at this rate.
I need to get back outside.

HELIX-13:
<:: Here. ::>

Prozac? I'm not fucking depressed you moron.

HELIX-13:
<:: Take it at least once a day, preferably before you sleep. ::>

There is nothing wrong with me.

<:: Okay. ::>

There is nothing wrong with me.

"Well this workshift is rather mundane."

Why does he sound so familiar?
<:: 99 you're cleaning my weapons tonight. ::>

"Hah, don't be so harsh on the poor unit. I remember when I put you through the same torture."

Who the hell is he?
<:: Why do you know so much about us? ::>

"Alright fine, follow me; just you."

Acting like he knows me, brat.

"Tell me, is one still the rank leader? How's the xray rank lead by the way?"

<:: Who the hell are you. ::>

"Let's go back to 43, remember JUDGE-0s little coup?"

<:: Yes. I almost attended it but I got convinced otherwise. ::>

"Who do you think convinced you?"

<:: VICE-Three did... but he's dead, I saw his biosignal go off. ::>

"Is he?"

<:: Yes! He's dead... he's... ::>
<:: His... body was never found. ::>

"Ah the anonymity, I suppose it is necessary in my case."

<:: T-That's impossible. You should be dead, you can't- ::>
<:: I saw- ::>

I saw the bodies, I saw the dozens of units after that sweep. Their limbs torn apart by explosives or meerly riddles with bullet holes. Their screams ringing in my head... No... that's not right, what- what am I missing here?! I can't breathe. What happened that day? Why can't I remember it? The corpses - why do I remember that?! So much blood. I can't breathe- I can't...

//: LOG ENTRY #11 ://

"Moved about like herd of sheep, I am always adjusting to my surroundings. The industrial district is a nice welcome if I wasn't so naive... so emotionally weak. I fell for compassion once more as I agreed to abandon guard detail to respond to dispatch and the four units begging me to go underground, for a fucking useless ping nonetheless. Delegate probe teams were already moving their way underground, there was no reason for us to go yet I agreed. My pitiness resulted in the cinema being unguarded, one of the ministry of civil protection died as a result. I'm fucking done with everyone, all the fucking lower class units. Sent to canal duty because of THEM. Even Helix-13 has become a husk of his former self, everyone is fucking dumbing down in this district and I'm sick of it; now I could die because of their actions."

//: LOG ENTRY #12 ://

"VICE-01 stood before me with a new tagline. He marked my ascension to high command yet I continued to have one small issue in regards to my file. The next day I attended that canal duty, we almost got wiped, the team that decided to go before us got jumped by biotics and anti-citizens; none of them made it out alive. UNION-61 got pissy over my attitude, it's clear to me he doesn't enjoy any playful banter. Many units have mixed feelings about me, they think I'm too young for the position; I think that is irrelevant, experience, trust and competency is what matters more. I hope Echelon Alpha is happy for kicking me out early, I didn't turn out to be a failure after all."

VICE-66....jpg

//: LOG ENTRY #13 ://
"Thirteen is considered an unlucky number, a number representative of death. Yet after a year and a half I am still standing to tell my tales. My mind is clear once more from any difficulties, I understand my duty for the combine. Keep the sheep in check, most importantly, the shepherds too. The sub-human pieces of shit attack our zone because they think they will do 'good' for the world. I don't care if they kill me, I am replaceable, just as is every other unit and citizen on this planet. My father would be proud if he saw all the things I've done. He would cry out of joy from all the despair I caused to those unworthing of the combines mercy, the bloodshed I caused. The immense suffering..."

Underclass

"Murdered, mugged and destroyed the lives of every good living person; including my friends and relatives. Untrustworthy bastards that deserve the worst treatment."

Working Class
"Standard citizens doing their best to survive another day, it is my job to protect them when possible and to maintain order."

Upper Class
"A unique mixture of personalities set into one class, most are respectful of human life though a few maintain a rather pessimistic view of others."

Civil Workers Union
"Taught me everything that makes me what I am today, I have immense respect to members of this Union, most of them do their best to keep the city running."

Civil Medical Union
"It's become weak without Maesroe, I cannot believe we are trusting them with our lives"

Civil Protection
"Functionaries from different backgrounds, most are loyal to the combine. Most of them don't know when to shut the fuck up, they ruin my life."

Overwatch Transhuman Arms:
"Loyal machines of the combine, though I don't wish to become one, I understand their reasoning and expertise; immensely valuable members."

All Rebel Forces:
"You have slaughtered my family, friends and those I held dear to me. I will stop at nothing to ensure you are exterminated."

KING-3/VICE-3
"He's meant to be dead..."

VICE-01
"
My old rank-leader, his immense expertise and leadership makes me respect him by default; though he is quite careless about his own safety."

JUDGE-2/JUDGE-0
"Dead, watched her die in front of my eyes."

JUDGE-0 - [Goose]
"Followed orders from those above him, died in the crossfire. Rest in peace."

VICE-22
"Where did you run off to? Why can't I find you on the database?"

JUDGE-17
"Dead, I do not know how he died; I felt immense guilt for his death as he shown me respect."

JURY-181
"You think I haven't forgotten about that coup fiasco with you? You make me sick each time you stare directly at me. I wish you died in that off-world assignment."

HELIX-20
"Commanding officer from HELIX, I knew him from previous days. I trust him"

VICTOR-505
"He stayed in District 11, lucky bastard. I don't want to relocate either."

HELIX-51/HELIX-13
"You're going down the rabbit hole now. Your behaviour is fucking awful."
"I never see you anymore, the hell are you doing?"

HELIX-29
"A unit who hasn't lost hope yet, though there will be a day where she'll lose it."#
"From the sounds of it, you deserved that bullet between your skull."

HELIX-57
"I don't speak to them nearly as often as I could. His behaviour mimics that of an immature child, like myself back in Echelon Alpha."
"This unit had promise in him, ruthless killer. I loved watching you shoot your own lover in the forehead with that revolver. Shame I won't see you again."

UNION-61
"You'll never replace the previous rank leaders of your squadron."
"I stand correct. Goodbye."

XRAY-74
"I don't care if you're messing with me, your behaviour makes me want to beat you into a pulp."

DEFENDER-05
"A member of my squadron, they would make a decent intention two."

VICE-14
"I cannot believe I promoted you. Useless."

Michael Hoxworth
"Kidnapped and most likely murdered by resistance forces. He never returned from his trip."

Jenifer Maesroe
"Pure respect to this woman, successfully tricked me into flipping my hand over without her touching me; and saved countless lives on seperate occasions."

Samuel Lacrose
"Indifferent to me, his lenient attitude mixed with sudden outbursts is annoying."

Arthur Eastgate
"A fair but strict boss of the workers union, he ensures his workers are all prepared for anything."

'Boonie'
"Saved my life though I can't trust it anymore, that trench coat it always wears reminds me of those underground. Torturing and killing my fellow colleagues. I have no doubts in my mind that it saved my life under mere pressure from the combine."
"I trusted you."

William Dubois - Excecuted
"Dabbled into a cult and became a member of it, his mind tainted by the false words of a demi-god; limited in power by the vessel of our own universe. I ordered his capture and interrogation, however William dug his own grave after HELIX-51 got kidnapped. I will not miss him at all now that he's dead, no doubt deserved it."

Quazimodo
"Unshackled and unbound, I do not trust this vortigaunt."
"Where have you ran off to? Quazi?"

Evo - Ascensionist
"He knew what he was doing. Don't try to bullshit your way out of this one."

Felix Poelking

Vivian Garnier
"How do you know about the O-C-R? Why did you let your own personnel out early? Incompetent bitch."

Luca Carusso?
