Now I would post the event idea, but I am bad at explaining anything.
So whoever wants to, take my idea.

Basically, the event takes place in half life but the combine never came, and in like 2010 the portal storms cease and only really remain active in America right.
The story is basically 'how would humanity treat or deal with the xenian wild life, and especially the now friendly or neutral vortigaunts'.

Bit of a stretch there. Not all Vortigaunts are saints by nature. Most of them sided with humans as they saw allies with their race. Many Vortigaunts believe in a "One True Vortigaunt" ideology which makes them believe they are the dominant race and see themselves far beyond Humans. Many assume that if the Combine were gone. The XMZ would spread and possibly at some point completely take over The Earth leaving it Lethal for humans, making it a paradise to Vortigaunts where they can live free

A pyrrhic victory for Humanity against the Xenian onslaught, at great costs to the environment, human culture, and lifestyle as we know it. It may take numerous decades in the process, but humanity will inevitably triumph over Xen through the closure of any remaining dimensional portals connecting it and the border world. They have the capability of sealing the rift and permanently stopping portal storms, and also have access to WMD, militaries, resources, supplies, weaponry, etcetera.

Earth is irrevocably broken, millions of native species extinct, and humanity for the foreseeable future forced into urban centres (similar to the Combine's occupied cities), but with capable armies and weaponry at their disposal. Humanity and Vortigaunt kind will duke it out, with Humanity having a slight lead in any conflicts owing to their firepower. Vortigaunts themselves will mostly be fine, however, since Humanity will mostly seclude themselves in fortresses while Vortigaunts will likely find their settlements far away from human habitat.

If we go by Willard Network lore though, the future would be incredibly bleak owing to the XMZ alone. Plus the fight against Vortigaunts would be much more intensified and bloodier, with Vortigaunts' powers being greatly enhanced (thanks to equinox) and them being more aggressive and supremacist in Willard Lore.

(Forgot to mention but in both scenarios, Humanity has literal Deus Ex Machina devices/machines which allow them to completely win in either conflict, should they acquire them. Thanks, Aperture Science & Black Mesa scientists for that.)
