Name of the Admin you were banned by: Rabithunter
How long is the ban for?: One Month (extended)
The reason you were banned?:
FailRP, OffensiveRP
Why do you wish to be unbanned?:
Firstly, y’all just never explained to me what my OffensiveRP was, or what was actually wrong/FailRP about the PEMDAS situation. Everyone involved with my character’s roleplay generally had a good time, and it seems the only people that have a problem with it are staff. Secondly, extending the week ban to a month for a 9/11 gif I posted, then deleted 3 mins later? Seriously? I doubt it was discussed with any Americans, so thank God we have the Europeans here to deem it offensive, but come on. There was a period in the server where it was covered in 9/11 graffiti because there was a common joke that rebels would do an attack on 9/11. Is that offensive as well, or is a line drawn when it’s a gif you don’t like? Why was there no form of discussion in the previous appeal and just an immediate extension of my ban? Were any of the witnesses tagged spoken with, or was an executive decision made on their behalf by the staff team? It just feels like an already fishy ban, extended with fishy circumstances, and it all feels like an attempt for Staff to strong-arm me out of the community by throwing the book at me.

Hi there,

I can see where your concern is with the length of the ban! So i wanted to come forwards in regards to your extension since there were some unsettling posts that led to an extension.

The first one was the twin towers posted, as this could’ve been disheartening to some members due to the impact it could’ve had at the time in their life.

Whereas the other reason was the comment which wasn’t very acceptable and that was just hating on the community.
Now the main reason for the hating part is that the community is formed by loads of other players who have worked really well to form the current atmosphere it has. So this is considered quite disrespectful to them as well.

Yeah, this is a meme. I’m quoting the video I posted, and extending my ban because I said indiscriminately that Willard was a shithole (players included, not just staff) is kinda cringe. Seems like needless policing of speech.

And extending it for a mistake I had rectified even before anyone brought it up to me isn’t even kinda cringe. It’s very cringe.
I think it’s the sense of mind behind it. If I was a user at the time and posted something extremely rude which I can guarantee some people would’ve seen, then deleted it. This would be considered reasonable because I deleted it? It’s not a matter of it being rectified it’s just leaning toward the point that it was posted ok the first place.

So some users would’ve already seen it, therefore could’ve still been disturbing to others. The other example would be is if i found it funny and didn’t acknowledge how much of an impact it could’ve had, as I then saved it to dm to other people. It could still spread like wildfire. If this shows why it was still added to the length? So I understand the point that you had a change of mind and rectified it, but you have to see at some angle that this still would’ve been seen easily.

No, it doesn’t. I’m sorry for posting it, and I’m sorry for not deleting it a millisecond afterwards, but was any harm done? Did anyone do what you described? If they did without even talking to me, would I still be held accountable? This stuff just isn’t adding up to me, and as an American who’s spoken with other Americans about 9/11, the great majority of us can take a joke.

It’s the matter that accounts. As well speaking the joke to several other Americans, it doesn’t mean you’ve done a whole survey on the country.
There are still gonna be people who will be offended by this. The sense behind it is what matters the most here.

If I posted something, which makes me the root of where it came from. Yes, I myself would be held accountable.

I’m gonna end it right here, as we’ll just be going into an endless loop. So I’m gonna leave this with @Memesky

Hello there!

After having a long discussion with the staff team. It’s resulted in this appeal being denied based on the already given circumstances!
