idk man anytime i log in i hear of more chaotic situations that have arisen.

pretty entertaining in certain respects

You shouldn't need a plotline to make a map good. The map should just be good enough to attract RP on its own....like C24 did. Which is why we should go back to C24.
The roleplay should not be dependent on the map itself. The roleplay in-game is fine and the atmosphere was actually enhanced with the new map, especially since it is way bigger and way more spacious than that of City-24. Everyone enjoys the new map and so does the staff teams, so we're not going to be changing the map at all anytime soon.

#1 reason: No new rebels, since loot literally disappeared, which leads to 0 non-admin rebel acts happening, which leads to no CP RP, which leads to them actively searching for rebels (waiting outside the ghetto, and stuff like that) Which again goes back to the first point, no new rebels
Vaas here, the craziest LFC you'll meet. Loot is disappeared, yes, but there are events happening for it to try and ease the situation while they sort things out. (Dropship crashed in Infestation Zone event). Plus we don't realistically need loot to rebel; you can always rebel in little acts, it just depends on the creativity of the person. If you need a example; tagging over/making anti-propaganda and letting a CT or GM know to help you with it - not only improving Rebel RP by ten folds but it also gives CPs some RP if caught or could make more jobs for the Work Desk, overall a good cycle.
#2 reason: No stores are opened ever
When I'm on, two or more of them are opened. You must have bad timing.
#3 reason: BMDs are broken and there are 0 rebel events or tasks, also, of course, the unnecessary admin-managed group LFC does nothing to help with this, and simply decides to "help" big rebel groups, leaving alone potential new rebels, which really sucks.
If every little rebellion group was managed, it'd be a little hard to track. It's why bigger groups are focused as well because 1. easier to track and realistically in this sort of regime, little groups won't/absolutely can't do much. New rebels can situate themselves forcefully into rebel RP and actually create some development as they become a bigger, known resistance group.

There are always events for rebels, it's just usually in planning but if there is a flash event; you already know rebels are on it. as an example again, dropship event.
#3 GIVE REBELS A REASON TO GO TO THE QUARANTINE ZONE!! It's currently useless to do so and really risky
There is always a reason; currently we've been to that damned zone quite a bit. Dropship event and another event I won't disclose.

That's it from me.

Again, all you mention is exclusively for developed rebels or members of LFC, and not for new rebels.

It’s mostly for whoever actually makes an effort to do something
Sure, I mean of course your opinion is as biased as mine, but judging by the reactions to my post I'd assume I'm not the only one that thinks that

Reading that the whole blackout event was someone's improv idea to breathe some fresh air into the server and that CT doesn't even agree with it sums up my experience with WN this year.
I thought that it was a pretty retarded line of events considering the OCIN Danger Level: ""impossible"" lore, but at least there was something going on, now it's back to the same old nothing because CT will most likely do nothing with it, and the only event to look forward is now a disconnected short story about the most cliché faction of the Willard lore.

I’d do it again, CT be damned. :smug:

ngl the only way to temporarily solve this is to just create your own rp and mess around with some friends, whether IC or OOC. there's not much to do and not many events to partake in for the main server, and i can already tell that the plotline zeropants is talking about will take like another couple of weeks to even progress into an event we can all partake in

willard is always going to be boring at the end of the day, its like every other server on garry's mod. i can complain all i want about how boring one server is, but i can always play another and gain a whole new experience instead of continuing to play the same server that i complained about for the next couple of hours. that's why this whole christmas shutdown thingamajig has helped me clear my mind and take a break from things on the server and now everything is gonna be fresh and fun when i come back

I do believe this is the cause of most of it. The city? Meh aspects of it are not terrible actually but it could be better. Mainly, condensed a little because RP is too spread out over a city space bigger than it needs to be. And most of it are unused areas anyway.

The slums? Terrible. Not enough places to base, not enough loot and the area is not suitable for combat. Unlike indigent on c24, there is no room for intresting combat. Firefights in the Terminal 6 slums would happen in the open with not many routes of escape causing CP to just have roll over victories.

The outlands? Not even needed. While it's cool and there is a lot of intresting RP to be had there, we just don't have the server population to split the player base like that. If you let people sit in the outlands constantly, the city becomes empty. Altho I will say more effort could be made for rebel events out there, which is my fault too. Though, on my end both times I have tried, OTA all suddenly connect and ruin the event so.

Overall, I think this map will see a slow decline in the server unless it's changed. But not changed back mind. Altho c24 is well established, having one map for over two years leads to stagnation. Sooo a map change is definitley the right direction, but we need to find a new one. We've tried Terminal 6 wity good intent, it doesn't work they way we thought, so let's change it. With Rebel RP not able to function properly, Loyalism RP being lackluster and very exclusive to the CLC club and general citizen RP being endless wandering of an empty map as the pop is split even without the outlands open.
