A HALF-LIFE 2 ORIGINAL CHARACTER
| DESCRIPTION: It's pallid blackened dermis shines weakly when the light hits it. Its lower half contrasting flat-surface of its head, which is covered in scars and sealed up bullet holes; upon closer inspection its more unique features become noticeable, primarily the headcrab is caked in blood around its chitinous claws and cavity. Running along the central mandibles of the headcrab is a bespeckled yellow ichor, evidently its venom, stray droplets dribbling from it to the flooring, leaving an acrid residue, as well as harming anything unlucky enough to remain in it for too long. |

| -BACKSTORY- A headcrab same as most others, was born in Xen, from a Gonarch same as all headcrabs, and lived an unremarkably normal life, until its appearance in the sewers of City 24, though it looks pretty much the same as most others, its behaviours are much different, one day it took to attempting a herbivorous diet in a futile effort to overcome starvation, it began consuming the Xenian plant life in the sewers here, however an unexpected result came from this, instead of becoming a herbivore, the Xenian plant life reacted with the venom inside the headcrab, causing a strange neurological reaction in its brain, overriding some of its most basic instincts. And possibly allowing for more advanced brain function as a result. Can often be spotted stalking around the sewers feasting on whatever corpses remain from battles past inside there. -FAMILY- MOTHER: Gonarch. | -APPEARANCE- Appears similar to most poison / black headcrabs with a few notable differences, those being, its blood covered hide, venom leak on its centremost mandibles and various scars from previous encounters. -PERSONALITY- As a result of the unlikely reaction from the chemicals in its body, this headcrab has lost its base instinct to occupy people’s heads, and now instead, eats its poisoned and or paralyzed victims like any normal animal, truly disturbing behaviour from a headcrab, sometimes can be seen eating its own dead kind’s zombified corpses, though it does not eat its own kind. It seems to display much more fear towards live humans that look dangerous and much more aggression towards easier prey. -LIKES AND INTERESTS- Eating humans, birds, antlions, barnacles and just about anything else it can sink its teeth into. In a strange display of intelligence can sometimes be seen actively scaring humans with no intent to attack, almost as if it takes some form of humour from this. -DISLIKES AND AVOIDANCES- Strongly dislikes armed humans, bull squids, and other predatory creatures, including Civil Protection and Overwatch forces, due to their hunting. |
