I don't know where the world would've ended up without you stepping in... And I'm not even talking about the Black Mesa incident. I'm glad you've saved us from our downwards spiral. Glory to the Union!
COMBINE CIVIL ADMINISTRATION
I don't like politicians, not one tiny bit. When it comes down to it, all you do is make speeches and pass legislations. How about you lot get your boots dirty for once and join us out in the field huh? See how your legislations actually perform. Not to speak of the fact that you ditch the rest of us just to save your own skin when things get to a breaking point. Were I in your position I wouldn't be so cowardly and I would fall with the city which I served.
Just a bunch of politicians gathered together. I don't get in contact with them a lot... some are good, some are strange, and some seek to abuse the system. But what am I going to do about it? I'm in no real position to question them.
CIVIL PROTECTION
My new home, thank you all for taking me in and teaching me the ropes. I'm proud to call you my colleagues, for the most part.
It's not what it used to be... All new faces, all my old comrades gone... Either dead or vanished into thin air it seems. Some of you still recall the old days, but I have no clue who you actually are, who you used to be, if I knew you at all... I wish it could go back to the old days.
I've found my place again. I made new friends, new rivals... I've gained some fresh insights and am thankful for every opportunity given to me.

You're all a scary lot and I'm still not sure what you exactly are. Are you robots? Are you humans? A combination? Either way, as long as I don't have to deal with you guys, I'm fine.

STATE SECURITY
You lot are a fucking joke, you can't protect anything except for your own fucking egos. Thinking you're hot shit because they gave you a nice suit and a gun... Pft! Stop acting like you're the hottest shit around when all you do is just walk from point A to point B. I distrust the lot of you, and this was proven even further to me by some of your men luring me and another unit into a fucking ambush! You should all be cleansed.
After district 43 I've had a chance to talk to some of you lot, and I have to say not all of you are bad. There are times where you lot act more cocky than you should, but at the end of the day we serve the same people. I can't forget about the day one of your lot ambushed me and my partner.... But I can come to my senses and realize you're not all like that.
CITIZENS
Some of you are good, some of you are bad eggs... And some, man some of you are just plain retarded. Those of you who do wish to make the city a better place, you've got my respect.
CIVIL WORKER'S UNION
You lot seem to make the city operate at peak efficiency, and do everything in your power to improve everyone's lives here. You're a good example of what a CWU should be, unlike my previous city. Keep up the good work, and one day we will be among the stars with our Benefactors.
You new lot are an empty husk of what the worker's union used to be! You hire idiots who get high constantly, you hire distrustful people who carry around illegal equipment... Something is fishy about you lot nowadays, and I wish I was still in my old position so I could investigate every single little thing you guys do.
I've come to terms with the fact that the CWU will never be like the old days again. I've come to terms that certain individuals won't be coming back to their positions. I am still distrustful of those you hire, but I can see that you're trying to improve yourselves.
CIVIL MEDICAL UNION
Any organization in health care deserves my respect. Not many wish to pick up the torch and do the things you lot do. I'm terribly sorry about Heilag, I am. I hope you guys found some closure in the fact he did not suffer.
SLUMMERS
Some of you are good, some of you not so much. I heard about how one of you lot lead one of our Protection Teams into an ambush. If I ever find you, you'll pay for it. Good on you lot to finally turn the place around, with shops opening up and the travel restrictions removed we might finally see civilized society return to your hell hole.
From now on I'll be putting you in one basket with these so called "rebels". The constant attacks on our society by you underclass with these terrorists is ruining our way of living, and for what!? So we're on the same level as you lot? Having to eat headcrabs and antlions just to get by while the Union can provide us with actual food!? You guys make me sick.

Even though it wasn't even your place to begin with. Though the ISOCF never really worked out, you were one of my best comrades. With the creation of the MAA Division within the city you returned to your duties and even got a hefty promotion to a command rank. Well done for that buddy! I heard you all got deployed not too long ago, and I've rarely seen you since... When I first met you, you were very shy. You kept to yourself and rarely talked to me. But as the days kept going you opened up more to me. You cared for me when I was shot in my leg, helping me up stairs and to move around. You even comforted me when we were alone. I'll never forget the moments we shared alone... I'm terribly sorry for what happened to you on that day, having to be in splints for so long, it must've been painful for you. I promise I'll try my best to keep you safe from the shadows now. Watch Gus closely, he's a bad egg and not to be trusted! When I read through your journal, it pained me to see what I read... I wasn't sure what to think anymore about you and I feel us growing more and more apart because of it. I hope you two will one day be happy together, but I can't help but feel sadness... I know the CMU misses their quartermaster a lot, and that you can not be replaced that easily. Even when faced with death, you didn't try to escape. You accepted your fate with open arms, knowing what you did was the right thing to do. If things had been different I'd have hoped I could've gotten to know you better. I only feel guilt about your passing. Had I taken a different approach, you would probably still be here with your kin. I'm sorry, I'd wished it would have been me that could have pulled that trigger and held the guilt closer to my heart. I believe we joined the CWU around the same time, I just remember you in that yellow shirt alongside me. Now, everything's different. You're a supervisor now! When I first met you, you were rather arrogant I should say, but over time I've gotten to know the softer more insecure side of you. I can see why you work as hard as you do. I can't help but to wonder, with how much we hang out... What do you really think of me? After all, you did keep my trench coat and plushie. I enjoy the time we spend together a lot. There are times where you lot act more cocky than you should, but at the end of the day we serve the same people. I can't forget about the day one of your lot ambushed me and my partner.... Something is fishy about you lot nowadays, and I wish I was still in my old position so I could investigate every single little thing you guys do.
I've come to terms with the fact that the CWU will never be like the old days again. I've come to terms that certain individuals won't be coming back to their positions. I am still distrustful of those you hire, but I can see that you're trying to improve yourselves.
