Agatha's Diaries - Politics
The People I have given the people much thought. Once you are at the top, or half-way there at least, you start to see things with greater clarity. With all that power, what do you do with it? You hoard it, guard it jealously, make sure that only you and your most trusted confidants retain them. But there must have been a reason to begin with, right? Under the Combine, all of our luxuries have standardized, it really takes little effort, compared to the pre-liberation days, for one to earn a comfy lifestyle. I desire that power because I know what's best for the people, and I know how to use the system for that goal. All the corruption, the brutality of it all, the systematic slaughter of innocent lives, are all means to an end. To achieve a utopia, the classless society that was promised to me by my father. And my father's father. Therefore, I am as loyal as could be. We are so close to greatness, and the Combine is the only stepping stone to get us there. Through one way or another, the regime is necessary in fostering class solidarity. Before the revolution could begin. |
Agatha's Diaries - Relationships
"People come and go. I am pretty low on people's radars, but I get enough information to know what to think of them."
"People come and go. I am pretty low on people's radars, but I get enough information to know what to think of them."

(Samuel) Andrew:
"You were my first proper friend in I-24.
I have not seen you around though, but I never knew what happened to you in the end."
Benny (Barney):
"I remember you were related to Pio. I think you are dead, I am not sure."
Pio (Kennedy):
"Dead. I enjoyed that smoke at the balcony. That moment was burnt into my memory, for some reason."
Felix (Poelking):
"Supreme irony is that you, of all people, outlived me. I was a fool when I fell for different people all the time, but you in particular, should probably stay dead.
It's just funny. I cried for you and everything, only to see you appear, in that conscript uniform, on the silver screens once more. Only difference is that, knowing you are alive after all made me angry more than anything.
Why don't you people just stay dead?"
Luka:
"I am happy that you are alive and well. Even though we never talked that much, you occupy quite a lot of space in my mind. Disproportionately, in fact.
Anyway, thank you for telling me what happened to Pio initially. Hope you stay alive."
Her (Juniper Stenhouse):
"Where do I even begin with YOU.
A suck-up, my shadow, a wimp that somehow grew guts bigger than mine.
At this stage I forgot how I even met you or what our relationship was like before life as hardcore loyalists.
It was quite funny in a way, I got more "lively" as I advanced, but I see the complete opposite in you.
You grew bolder but had that soul was sucked out of you.
Come to think of it, you became Carter, gradually.
Anyhow, I am not sure if you got my hints when I was a green-band and you were a yellow-band slash blue-band.
I think I was interested in you.
But knowing how much you despised intimate relations, I got the clues to stay far, far away.
Our relationship remained a decently professional one, workmates that are bit closer than simple colleagues but not quite best friends.
You are too intriguing of a woman, June.
And I still loved you, even though I drowned that out with work.
Too late now."
Mustafa:
"Weirdo, don't know where he ended up, actually."
D(aniel):
"You can't bootlick and snitch your way to the top. You got what you deserved."
Menta:
"Don't know where he ended up."
Jason:
"You will be fine. Thanks for the storefront chit-chats."

Carter (Bradley):
"A poor soul. It's truly a shame how much falling out you had with June.
I used to think that you are bit of a weirdo too, me and June gossiped behind your back too, talked about how you are too much of a bootlicker to be a genuine person.
However, the last dozen or so weeks of my life proved otherwise.
You were a great friend, Carter.
I can tell how much you are doing to just cling onto that job of yours.
Hold on for dear life, Carter.
Be careful."
(Wyatt) Callaway:
"Eccentric and memorable. You are cool.
Stay cool."
Xiao (Chen-Ning):
"Weirdo that I helped push towards the top. You are fine.
I think I was biased because you are also Chinese. Oh well."
Arthur (Andreevich):
"Wherever you are, I think you are a good guy.
Stay safe."
al-Vohra:
"Cool boss. She's probably enjoying life somewhere."
T(akeo) N(aka):
"Polite middle aged Japanese man. He is a very talented artist. He seems like quite a principled guy too.
Too bad I never really got that close to him besides work affairs."
Shrivastav:
"A good boss and a good person.
People call you intimidating, but I don't think so.
You are just a good boss that kept things together.
My achievements would have been impossible without your help, boss.
Thank you for the work, and stay safe."
-WITHOUT DRAWINGS-
Noah Majors:
"Good artist. Bit of a bland person, just like myself."
Edward Riggs:
"I think I heard your voice before I passed. I can't exactly remember.
Oh well, I think you are a cool guy, a lot more profound than you try to make yourself out to be.
I really enjoyed our banter at times, no matter how shallow they might be.
Take care, Riggs."

Siemens:
"I think most things that transpired wouldn't have happened if you stayed alive."
Tischer:
"Spineless, easy to manipulate, and completely unfit to be leader of anything.
So in conclusion, an excellent administrator."
Yurievich:
"Inspiration. I never really interacted with you on a meaningful level, but that distance allowed me to keep you as an imaginary role model.
Enjoy your retirement."
Orwell:
"You are unfit for office because you are actually the most reasonable man in the administration."
MCP Men:
"You folks blend together in my head. I forgot your names, but from what I can gather, you bunch only served to hamper my work."
Luca:
"Mad man."
Tha(t)cher:
"A typical loyalist, I can tell you don't believe in anything and is only chasing that power."
Aurelio (Seregeto):
"I used to think of you as nothing more than a spineless man, but the last few months of my life told me that you are, indeed, more capable than one might think.
At least you are eager to take action unlike mister Thatcher over here."
Ophellie:
"You are an imaginary figure that doesn't exist.
I have never properly talked to you about anything, I have not seen you since that rally, and I don't even know you personally.
Yet, I was able to paint a picture through the droplets of information I got from Poelking when he was around.
I painted you as an imaginary vilian.
That feeling faded once I knew how full of shit that Poelking guy is.
Whatever, maybe you are dead, maybe you are fine, I don't really care."

Obolensky:
"You are a calculated man. Handling power probably comes natural to you."
Bloke:
"Eccentric, sort of like Callaway but with actual powers.
Your death was coming from miles away."
Peretz:
"Oh yea, that Jewish guy."
Idris Osmond:
"Funny accent and a funny guy. He's great."

Claire (Lavoie):
"I was trying to shape you up to become a second June, but I think that was doomed to fail.
We remained simple associates till the end. That's for the best."
Keim Rider:
"Weird guy, charming in his own way. Another attempt at filling that void which led to nowhere.
Guys like this will always survive. The Poelking-type."
Vanessa Lee:
"A woman with style."
Richter:
"Was it your voice that I also heard?
Anyway, this man is a consistent man. Not much else to say except that."
Layla Adkins:
"Haha. Funny dwarf.
Jokes aside, an enthusiastic woman that's just trying to do her job.
Bit eccentric too, but that's expected from the batch that were born in MOC."
Liam:
"Haven't seen you in a while.
You are probably fine, somewhere."
(Winston) Halloway:
"I just wanted to have a civil conversation with you.
Too bad that you are probably dead now. Snitching and bootlicking don't get you far."

Agatha's Diaries
I was born Tao Xiaomin. I resided in Beijing at the time of the invasion.
My parents were both members of the Communist Party and state bureaucrats. They were lucky that the early phase of occupation allowed them to keep their jobs.
Then, the uprisings began. My parents abandoned me to go over to the rebellion's side, while I followed through with my relocation assignments. This was also where I started going by Agatha Doe out of pure spite.
In City 12, I was first conscripted to fight the few antlion infestations and whatnot at the outskirts of the City. I worked a bit for the local Ministry of Enlightenment, but not for a period long enough to be reflected in my records, since I was being reassigned elsewhere anyway.
I ended up in City 24, and then followed the rest of that bunch of Industrial-24.
In Industrial-24, I joined the Committee of Civic Duty and Engagement, I met some interesting people, and I climbed my way to becoming a Tier-6 Priority Citizen, the First Secretary, and the Art Director. I even founded a semi-successful political movement.
Industrial-24 was my home.
My proudest work was completely unrelated to the arts though, it was my "intelligence work".
I was solely responsible for the false-flag publication known as Our Humanity.
Truth be told, I believed in most of the things Our Humanity espoused. It was my method of achieving freedom of speech with the Combine stamp.
Then, on those final days, I-24 was coming to an end. I carried out my duties as usual, and looked forward to whatever was to come next.
And then that bullet went straight through my skull.
