In the wake of the turbulent winds and fractured realms, this woman's tale unfolds atypical from any other standard citizen to witness the millennium, her spirit weathered by the chaos that was once a harmonious Morocco. It was a time of shadows. The cascade echoed its haunting foreshadowing, leading to tearing the very essence of her land, directing to the chaotic dance of the seven-hour war that left Amina stranded, isolated from the warmth of her kin as she and each member of her family were located in isolated regions of the southern hemisphere.

City 7 was her transient solace, a fragile beacon in a world convulsing with unrest. But its luminance was a fleeting whisper, a delicate dream soon consumed by the relentless darkness of internal catastrophe. Amina, now a wanderer to the judgment, meandered from realm to realm, each a unique echo, a new outline in her journey.

She traversed through the myriad mazes of ever-changing landscapes. Each displacement brought forth silent epiphanies, new contours of pain and wisdom shaping her story, her reflections of a world bound in the shared shackles of the Oppressors.

Before the deceptive luxury of City 55 beckoned, Amina found herself amidst the golden sands and megalithic echoes of City 40, Egypt. Here, her spirit delved deeper into the essence of resilience and unity. In a world amidst restoration and conflict, she partook in the symphony of agricultural rebirth to infrastructure, aiding in preserving the Maadi dam construct, just a mere segment to the diverse inter-sector agri-trade, each shipment of commodity it supported. Sent to a differing whisper of a bygone era. The sands spoke in silent murmurs alike, and she listened, her spirit intertwining with the strands of ancient wisdom and renewed hope in the people who continually fought for control and independence through their professions.

Her journey to City 55 was a dance through a mirage, a world draped in superficial grandeur and hidden fiction. It was here that Amina's crux soared, her staggered pursuit for familial unity uncovering a new rhythm throughout her isolation, but beneath the silken veils lurked the obscured truth, the shadows whispering the hidden narratives of a city lost in its illusion and strife for preserving luxury. Her story could not function in a world so blind as this skyrise. Through her rise in status in this sector, she could request and be permitted a favorable relocation back to what only she could wish to call home of just intimacy.

The breezes of Tenerife, City 41, brought with them the wraiths of her family, who all were present in their tales to reach there, each reunion a symphony of jubilant tears and concealed sorrows. Tenerife was a cauldron of political tempest, veiled conflicts, and a prom of glooms and glow within the sanctuary of nepotism. The political whirlwind was unrelenting that her father aimed to gather, etching scars and painting silhouettes of differing loyalties within the family's heart, crescendoing into a symphony of shattered dreams and fragmented ties. It was a silent battle with many unspoken words and lost hopes, especially for her brother.

Amina, a silent witness to the war within, found her destiny intertwined with her family’s, a mosaic of sacrifice. They fought the silent disputes, the whispers of political intrigue and betrayal lurking in every shadow, echoing in every silence. And then, the whispers became screams, the shadows became storms, and Amina found herself navigating through the tempest, a lone wanderer stuck in pursuit of solace and accord.

Entangled in the dark clouds and occasional claps of thunder, her spirit was amidst the storms of betrayal and the echoes of familial bonds breaking like a roof among a typhoon. It was within the charged maelstrom of City 41, where her brother, a silhouette of shared blood and memories, became the collateral in their father's ambitious dance of power and identity. The silent war reached its crescendo, marking her brother as an anti-citizen, a pariah in a world of palls and murmur. It was a painful symphony, a tableau of betrayal and surrender, that only etched silent tears and unspoken sorrows onto her soul.

Herself, a gossip in the squall, was then sent adrift to navigate the uncharted waters of a different sector, a protective exile to shield her from the collateral damage of familial battles and political convulsions. Her existence became a silent echo in the cogs of Industrial 24, Sector Ten, where she was expected to shift herself to something better, similar to the first decade among only herself.

~*~ velyn Mitchell:
"In the eyes of the highest echelon, you are in infancy. You have been the most relatable of everyone I have seen at the party. An interesting woman... You bear the same safety I do. Confidentiality and integrity. Albeit, our occupations allow for different applications of these concepts. Something residually does not shake me from understanding that our goals aside from work are different. I can share my fears, tears, and peers with her on the rooftop or by staring at the empty streets. But I do not think you are at a level to reciprocate that same confidence with me. It feels one-sided, like you are only listening or watching for the benefit of yourself. Maybe it's a differing methodology between how you or I operate. But how would you react to the threads of your safety net being burned? It's not a good feeling. But, who would you burn in the blaze down with you?"
"Each time I come to you, or you come to me, it always begins in question... Not questions to instantiate the conversation. Question to your current state of verismo. The same problems you stand among rooftops to overwatch, the railings to see what comes in foreshadow, the darkest shade that draws to the bags of your restless eyes. The vary eyes that trickle tears into the frayed mask that guards your countenance. Your fears stack and weigh in deviation among the others in the party. A constant fear would bring more tears with consistency. Who has damned you to this responsibility you fixate to? What do you gain out of it? Remember that when the drought arrives, you must find one you can depend on. I believe you can find whoever that may be."

~*~☯ urelio Segreto:
"I still, to this day, feel so stupid for what first impression I gave you. You did not deserve any of that. You don't deserve the collateral damage of anyone else. I got the reassurance and trust I needed that you are at least genuine to me. You seem just as eager as I am, wondering where you can dip your hand into the inkwell, writing all of the newfound progress we can share moving forward in these opportunities. I am excited for you and your success with moving up the hierarchy. But I have some fears that you are blinded by what progress you can potentially make if not limited. I need to figure out more than just the occupation we share, that's for sure."
"In the initial glow of our interactions, he seemed a beacon of hope and partnership in this dystopian mire, brimming with a shared eagerness to etch a future from the ink of opportunity. Yet, as the veils gradually lift, a more disturbing silhouette conditions. Beneath his projected resilience and drive hides a man consumed by hubris, governed by a relentless desire for self-preservation. Every gesture, every supposed act of kindness, reveals itself as a ploy for personal safety, a safety that can come at the expense of others.

His ascent up the hierarchy, once a shared vision of progress, now casts a pall of premonition. His vision, it seems, is distorted by illusions of unchecked progress, potentially leading him to a precipice of moral downfall. As I delve deeper, he emerges not as the partner I once envisioned but as a paradox – a blend of vulnerability and arrogance, light shadowed by dark ambitions."

~*~ am W.Bridge
"I do not hope you forget who was the first positive impression I met in the city Mr. Bridge. Even the timid woman from the southern sector, fresh from Egypt, remembers the small things. You expressed the kindness out of your heart, the opportunity for growth, and the reason I have realized what opportunities I still have. Just the first few days I arrived in the city, you allowed me to grow, even if it was just a bucket and a mop. Even after everything I've done, you don't look past the questions. You are a man of genuine nature. You place your faith into actions where others can only retain it through authentication. I look forward to the future under your supervision. You seem like the only person in this city who genuinely trusts me."

~*~ phélie Latourelle:
"Most I have heard from others about you is that you are blinded from fear. They do not understand that sometimes even the sweetest souls can be stifled upon a marionette. The only difference between a doll and yourself Ms. Latourelle, is that this puppeteer has a gun to your temple. I do not condemn you for anything or any of the things we spoke about. The only thing you need in life at this stage is the support to develop trust with someone. It would be entirely disingenuous for me to tarnish that. I'm not in this city for the safety of just myself. Do not fear that I'll be against my word. I wouldn't want to do the same for anyone who has had the misfortune to grow up in this world stripped of the opportunity to grow naturally. I just hope you can reach a stage where you can entrust that I won't stab the same wound in the back others have twenty times before. Do not think I am so entitled to be more than an acquaintance. We have only interacted in small amounts. Maybe you might feel more comfortable trusting by December."
"Sometimes we forget the complexity of a rope, Ms. Latourelle. While the end may be definitive, the strands are between the natural fibers. You may not see it as the same, but for the history, others say you possess. You have forged a rope with many fibers. You understand the prowess of maintaining which fibers are the most integral to the structure of your safety. Do not fear death tying your rope. You possess control over the many strands that have been intertwined into your lariat. The very fibers that will help sever the noose you stare at overhead. Those frayed strands of the rope are the ones you can pull. You don't have to understand this horror. Your chair is far away, one you can finally reprieve in, and not kick to the end."

~*~ atherine Ellis:
"Assigned to me by random, you are some real luck of the draw. Just another roommate that's a hand won at the river; I have no idea where I'll land my odds by being affiliated with you. You seem to have a sense of self-importance and authority like an ace of spades. I can't shake that this is a game of ego for you, whereas for me... It is a game of survival and refinement, and I don't enjoy playing the luck of drawing for my life. Each day you spend in the spotlight, it's clear that you have none of the same intentions or procedures as I do. We've crossed similar paths inadvertently, and it seems we're making some mutual friends through similar advice. As long as you keep drawing attention, I benefit more. You still return to the block, talk, and feel bad for your actions. At least you've paid the rent now; don't ruin what you can lose.."
"The traitor. At least, that is what they would like me to believe. You are no traitor. You are a vulture, and you take any chance for the spoils of opportunity to benefit yourself. Through this harsh judgment, I've come to realize your redeeming parts. You do not back down, even in your thoughts of surrender. You do it out to protect the ones you care about. An oxymoron for the radical efforts you chase to protect the ones around your circle. When will you see that the methods you take reciprocate to those you care about? Your work is nothing aside from reckless and mangled, like your perception. When will you finally learn to do it in the realm of possibility I am dogged in? If you care for the ones on this line, do it from the same fence. Let us see your face without the absence each week. We don't want our hands grasped against the barrier, viewing the gunshots that riddle a corpse fired between the linked chains. I am already jealous of your opportunities, and the connections you maintain that reaffirm your record. I spend countless hours wondering where I would be if I had the same back then."

?~*~ ndrew:
"I don't know how I feel about you. You do everything I do regarding safety but with entirely a conflicting methodology. Except I fail to see where you fit into any jigsaw. You don't contribute to my pipeline, and you don't really speak with me. Maybe it's a result of you being socially inept, or maybe it's a result of incompatibility..? Who has hurt you? Why don't you ever open up about anything? I can't judge or research a book that's bound shut. Nonetheless, you still stop by and hold yourself responsible on the block. Maybe you're just in a rut or the same stagnation I'm in. Maybe you're even further down the line than I know."

?~*~§ Twenty-One:
"You are nothing but a manipulator to me, even if your concern was ever genuine. An agent of only your opportunities. I have zero idea how you can rekindle any trust after what you did. I see through the schemes while you lived in skirt. I only wish I could hear the other half of the discussions behind closed doors. The notoriety you built up, the path you damned me to, the failure of you being able to genuinely protect and give authentic evidence of what happens. You were the first in this city to move me up the ladder; I told you everything about myself then and there. Why were you so quick to forget? Where were you when I was encased in fabricated deception? How can you feel comfortable offering support only after I've been tarnished? Even after you tried to make amends, you only roped me further down a plot of volatility to leave me all by myself. I would be much higher on either side of the echelon if it weren't for you. But now, I am just stuck in stagnation."

~*~☯ Carter Bradley:
"I'd like to think you are a decent collaborator. Probably the spitting image of what any infant in the party is. A scared man, a man who worries about others only until he has to worry more about himself. How can you pride yourself on annunciating your voice on stage, being in the spotlight... Only to capitulate yourself in fear, hide your thoughts in the shade? I'm starting to see it now, and you let people walk all over you just like any other in the party. You are afraid of your voice, but you know when to speak the right voice to the right ears. I understand your fear, but I don't share any of the same values with the people who render it upon you. Maybe you are the spitting image of the collaborators? At least that's what they'd like to make of you."

~*~ abel:
"Babel, while I am equally impressed with your work. I am proportionately in dejection among you in empathy. I may have been one of the few to listen to your eulogy on the second floor that day with nullified judgment. There is much history to the sadness in your life, and I feel it extends beyond just your roommate. Although, just like the rest of your kind, you remain fearful of sharing anything. Even if you have a solidified opportunity here, from what I spoke with the others, I don't think they value the opportunities you and I hold. I don't know how I can bring it up to you honestly or adequately to word it with the right authenticity. I hope trust can extend for what was promised someday that you should eventually understand. Until then, I think I owe it to prove my actions and values."
"Aside from work, I enjoy the time and discussion we can maintain together; I just hope it is shared. You and I may possess a little shared element concerning controlling our safety. Something our kinds may disagree with. I fear... I've stood to witness the story of your kind's crippling fears, even much more than you may be comfortable with myself knowing. It makes me question what in the worlds have compiled your drive. I cannot see beyond the eyes of my favorite colleague. Do not feel so alone to be one of the lost."

~*~ Arthur Andreevich:
"I've seen your anger. Yet you hold your scared face, a product for many men to crumble under once they abstain from bottling the pain. I hope the bottle I offered you that day at least repressed what tears could have come. Only you have been subject to your mistreatment for things you cannot control, and I do not blame you for the temptation of poisons. A sin in our shared world is now only a catalyst for the true vice of oppression. You don't share the anger of others, but they share the fear like you share the repression of your emotions with them. Don't let them create you out of a product of fear. Please create yourself among the research department. Learn who will not take pride in you out of generating merit for their resume. That man at the funeral would not be the same man a floor below who shed genuine sorrow the night of the operation."

~*~§ Eighty-Five:
"Just like that..? You iterate dread into my reality? Do you have no purpose, or is this some rumination? You have never followed up; you are just like the rest. You have zero consideration for the populace that tries to be genuine. A mind clearly of systematic views, tricks to play, laughs to gather behind the screen of only a single plane of view. I trembled with my recollection, but every part of it was authentic. I have done everything in my power to walk the right path. You ruined any first impression with that man. Is this your method? Fear does not create progress. Even after my refinement, you treat me like my past."

~*~§ Combine Civil Administration:
"Every member of this industry at the highest echelon has the littlest understanding of bureaucracy. I can see through the Collaborator's party. I can see how you treat each other. Half you have no idea what you are doing, and the other half want to know exactly what everyone else is doing. You preach messages through the intercom of my residential block ad-nasueam. And it's not that they lay on my ears with discontent. It's out of boredom. This city has no sense of community, no sense of accomplishment, and no connections... What do you have to be proud of in your free time? Are the members of your administration poisoning the homeless? I hope the man I voted for was not a waste of my ten credits. Hopefully, you take my two cents."

"Time and time again, I've been exposed to more novel interactions with members of executives, members of higher status. You all are not scared. At least you try not to display it. For the ones who are genuinely not scared, you safeguard that confidence by scaring others. Fear is not the way to progress. How could you be so blind not to understand the history of previous failed cities? You are causing one. Proceed with ruining our economy or frivolously supporting the infrastructure and progress until it's bled thin."

?~*~ Civil Medical Union:
"I have yet to meet a single poor member of this collective. All hands are on deck as much as we can, and I give my condolences to the medical workers. Every one of you works yourselves to death in practice. This industry is one without compensation for damages dealt to their property. Don't get abused by it; don't get drained by it. Many of you are excellent workers, minds, and dreamers. Don't let the anti-Citizens or reckless citizens detract from your contributions. Please bear with me as I go through these trials in this job alongside you. From my angle, you guys are struggling to stay afloat, so I'll help where possible."

"Here I am, witness to collateral just when I hold the precaution about turning towards being reckless. We all share the punishment and ridicule to it. I know you all are not like this, and maybe I need to be harsher on people getting hired into our side of the department. Or is it my fault? For not keeping a better watchful eye? Either way, the blame is not mine, not even for some of the issues I caused. I'm just glad I was able to go inconclusive. Now here I go, trying to continue walking on eggshells, except it's in my domain."

?~*~§ Civil Workers Union:
"Your roster remains one of the largest in this industry through the collectives of our populace. You have a lot riding on your success. That does not mean you get any favorable treatment. I think the same about the medical workers. Why should you receive a reward for meeting expectations? What do you contribute beyond meeting your allotments, allocations, and mandates? I see the efforts contributed by the few. But it's trumped by the many who consistently operate recklessly and deviate from the standards upheld. It would break at any chance they meet hesitation or ridicule from our Benefactors or Union."

"Just as I make progress, you guys make yours. Nothing has changed from the peons. Continue to be reckless. But now, it's shared in the progressive effort of both of us. While I have yet to bear the violation, I can easily see others balancing the tightrope to avoid it around us all. I have to depend on you for progress in my success, and it would be best if you do not believe for a single second I would not carefully consider each one who may need to be involved."

~*~§ Combine Civil Protection:
"I have never seen it in a city like this. A complete engulfment of fear from the local force. You can act tough, but every move is one step forward out of discipline and two steps backward out of fear of your failures. This is not how you keep people safe, and this is not how you protect us. I chose to walk among the path of safety, stripped from it so vagrantly. False accusations with no backing to get behind. So quick to judge a fate of despair and sadness, all for what? Ensure my inevitable? Good luck with the product you're creating now."

"Maybe you should have listened to me. Maybe you should have pulled me in for a better reason than your fixations. You are truly blind to what is going on around you. Each day, you bring one anti-citizen in through the doors but struggle to understand the community you are expected to protect. Officers are thrown from a second floor, blood pouring from their necks into the streets you protect, filled with litter. How does it feel to be improperly supported? Your leaders are severely underpaid. But maybe currency does not matter to you. Results matter. You can hide them, but you can't hide everything."

?~*~ Vortigaunts: "It will be great to see one of your faces more frequently. I do hope you can find what was promised to me. For the last two decades, assimilating and getting used to your culture has not been easy. I understand why you can be fearful; many bare shared bindings and restraints in ways not physical. I hope your affiliation can allow you to deduce that. Because what I intend is true. I recognize our shared passion for understanding the anomalous or benign, but I cannot forego the brutality your kind is consumed by without oversight. You are still insolent creatures without your devotion. You lack all morality and deviate to brutality. At least meet me halfway on trust; that's all I asked."

~*~☯ Rebels:
"Ragamuffins, terrorists, and malicious opportunists. If you think for any moment the pain I have not endured is shared, you would be genuinely mistaken. You operate in a reckless way that I would never assume to change my lines of safety. Don't be the ones to change that. I already have more things to worry about. If only the opportunity to enjoy your genuine sense of community were not burned long ago."

"As much as I condemn recklessness, it's clear that you all are beyond that. Only the minority focuses on discretion. And even the ones who do are inflated much beyond their worth. Are you no better than the antagonists inside the walls of the city? Stop trying not to act scared. You guys are operating in almost all the wrong ways. Now, you're just fueling and giving in to what the echelon wants. Why can you not look beyond such a narrow scope of power or ego? I must be much more careful because you do not care for remote others."

~*~ Overwatch Transhuman Arm: "Machines impressively controlled by the regime of our shared oppression, and when utilized, they are undoubtedly accurate and correct. I don't pity anyone who has walked down their chosen path or was afflicted by it. I'm truly impressed. Likewise, it takes a smart person to know how to command them, which is their purpose. I'll do my part; it'll be the first time I've ever had to, but I think you'll grow not to worry about what I can contribute as your lower parts do the opposite by aggravating me."
